Hot as hell and bloated to burst,
I’m filled with this desire to tame.
You’re wild but I have such a thirst
as your shape fills my doorframe.

Overstimulated and underdressed?
Proceed to the pernicious playroom.
I knew before your whisper confessed
that such intensity was not a costume.

Sweet is more than it seems my dear,
a dash of mouthwatering strawberries.
Mix in the heat of a Carolina Reaper,
I tend to become loud, my voice carries.

Have I raised a bit of interest yet,
do you possess a gambler’s mind?
Are you willing to place a small bet,
put on a scarf and enter my room blind?

Hot Rally Soup Note: Must be prepared in July

Take one demigod from the melting pot
Give it a Mega-phone (the louder the better)
Mix in a heavy dose of Fox News, make it a bit overbearing
In a separate pot,
mix 70 million evangelicals
2 or 3 million fanatics -depending on your tolerance
Season with lies and fear
Add holy water, a couple of cases of Budweiser and demigod mixture
But first clip a piece of ear and discard
sit in the sun until it boils- stirring occasionally

Spring, with ghosts 21-03-25

Drip. Drop.
Spring again.
Last year they left.
This year we met.
Sweet blossoms and smoke mix in the air.
I ask myself why I chase ashes.

Mask

I hide behind a mask—
So you know me as Mrs sunshine.
Light radiates off my shoulders,
As I laugh through the silence.
I hide behind a mask—
So you know me as Mrs talkative.
I shed my worries and joys,
Through talking and parlour tricks.
I hide behind a mask—
So you know me as Mrs perfect.
Cracks never open,
Faults are never revealed,
I keep everything concealed.
I hide behind a mask,
So real you can’t see the lie.
The trick is to mix in some of the truth,
Until you can’t tell,
Which feelings are truly mine.

Premium Memberkilling it

There’s a lot of heat when all eight
of us suitemates are together.
I might have mentioned it somewhere.
We’re like surround sound,
or eight car alarms going off together,
it’s jabberwocky by an established team.

It can get frantic and frightening
for the uninitiated or inhibited.
Some of us are pretty boy-crazy
and there’s a mix-in of twinkling girl-crazy too.
We’re basey, bugzee, spaceheads and freaks,
yeah, we're the whole emotional spice rack.

“She’s a good person to kill time with,”
is pretty high praise around here
because we have so little free time.
But these are good people to kill time with.

And they’re portable, we travel, we invade,
we’re crazy young women who’ve got it made.
So if you’re coming at us, trying to enter our enclave,
you better be brave or a situational upgrade.

Premium MemberOf Wicked Artifice Rimas Dissolutas

A poet’s pen of wicked artifice,
it is so heavy and so eclectic;
The writer’s creativity’s heavy,
tricksy to be inflamed so luminous;

Too many dollar bills to pay a price
I carry this burden like a fire-stick;
Striking harshly as it is meant to be,
smoke inhalation can be dangerous;

I suppose breathing is the sacrifice
to take abstract and mix in prolific;
Glittery concoction becomes deadly,
thus the nature of the magnanimous;

Crossfaded heart deciphering metric,
the unconventional flow hits wavy;
A fixed compass on wicked artifice.

RED SNOW

I looked out of the window
One morning and got
The shock of my life
Snow was falling softly
To the ground but it wasn’t
Just the snow, but its color
It was blood red
I fell back on the couch
Shook my head and wondered
Had there been an explosion
In the atmosphere or was
There red dye mix in the snow
Then it hit me, that there must
Be a battle going on in the
High plains of heaven

Premium MemberI Am An Autumn Dew

I'm water, though I'm like a pearl.
Hung on a crown of thorns, I swirl
My form and shape slowly alter.
Though I'm like a pearl, I'm water.

I'm born, like a crystal, tonight.
Tomorrow's sunbeams I've to fight
From my throne of thorns, I'll be gone.
Like a crystal, tonight I'm born.

The vapor! Then cold wave chills
Though I dry fast, my quest thrill-fills.
Sometimes I am a breeze-breaker.
Then cold wave chills the vapor.

Like a leaf, I float in the breeze.
Gradually, my movements seize
To nature, my life I devout
In the breeze, like a leaf, I float.

Eternity, I find, at last
The ocean I mix in is vast.
Amidst every absurdity
I find, at last, eternity.

Premium MemberSavor The Flavor

 A poetic community has many ingredients
 Tablespoons of metaphors with Alliteration spice
 A dash of Haiku makes things nice
 Pour in some sonnets into a bowl
 Mix in romance to make it whole

 Add a sprig of thyme to the rhyme
 Sprinkle in some free verse to make it sublime
 Stir in some Limericks into the pot
 A cup of Triolets will hit the spot

 Savor the flavor as you sample the soup
 As Personifications waft through the air
 Prepare a Pantoum and add to the group
 Add a cup of imagery to give it some flair

Premium MemberForevermore Bob And Wheel

Now fly,
show off gossamer wings;
Blessed with hunger am I,
brave with weatherproof strings;
I aim for a bullseye;

Now write,
letters are alchemy;
Each reader can take flight,
learn you intimately;
My set glitches delight;

Ink flows
from deep inside the gut;
Inhibition will close;
Setting free classy smut,
I mix in clean cut prose;

Words scream;
Cognizant of my soul
they hijack a daydream;
With pen, paint, or charcoal
take it to the extreme;

Lines dance,
walls crumble to freestyle
celebrating a stance;
My stanzas run a mile,
I always take a chance;

You soar
so high when you give in;
I’ve crashed and hit the floor
and stood up forgiven;
I’ll write forevermore.

Premium MemberTHE MOON

See the full moon's bright eye,
Use her as guide.
Imagine her sclera, pupil, and iris
Capture in colors you see fitting on a clear evening.
Cut out her yellow yolk of an egg
Reveal just albumen as if to mix in potent drink.
Look at the moon, it is a silver balloon
Suspended high up in space.
Feel the moon, it is a heavy ball
It is holding a patient's leg in traction.
