When shadows lengthen and the day grows still,
I lean into the quiet, soft and deep,
Just pulling up the blankets for a sleep.
It feels like resting after years of work,
Like sitting down when all the chores are done,
No heavy doubts or fears that try to lurk,
Just watching out the window, the fading sun.
My breathing slows, a simple, steady rhythm,
And all the noise inside begins to clear,
I leave the weight of everyday right with them,
And find a strange, gentle stillness here.
No dramatic exit, no pain to fight or mend,
Just letting go, and letting darkness blend.
Grandparents we heed for years and always know
Elders mistakenly disparaged and derided
Welders of life why families are mended
Or whom we never had, to honor and yow
Fate
Spins and weaves it's tapestry in
Strange ways,
Replied my friend janick to
My delightful story of how,
Indirectly,
I
Met Wendy
Aren't they the most beautiful words
They certainly warmed me
And such a tapestry fate,
Indeed, weaves
From the highest of highs to
The deepest and lowest of
Lows
In an eyeblink,
A tiny miniscule moment.
And vice versa.
Love
Is a wonderful thing.
And, my love,
I too descended from the highest heights,
Loving you
And that fateful day
Losing you.
But,
You never really left,
I
Never really stopped
Loving you
I
Just do it now,
In a different way.
We all do.
But,
In truth,
It's very very hard...
Let’s keep a low profile my friend
It’s time to hide away
To live unnoticed till the end
Must be a special play
I'm No One, what about you?
Who are you, I forgot..
Say something, if you want me to
Get back into the plot
But if you want to be alone
I’ll take another way
And you can hang around as long
As you would like to stay..
The night is coming so I’ll go
I live not far from here
Who are you, I shall never know
And you won’t tell, my dear..
I used to know you
Why are you such a stranger?
What happened, my friend?
The fire and flame diminished
Life's race ran...now finished
Walked through life's doors
Danced on earth's floor
The final door closed at the end
Farewell Pangie... our dear poetic friend!
Love Debxx
I adore
And you abhor
I love
And you loathe.
I love you forever
And you loathe me
Regardless of your demeanor
I will always show pity.
I love you with a passion
I adore you with devotion
Love is a panacea, a remedy.
I adore you and you abhor me
I love you and you loathe for no reasons and no grounds
Mind you, karma knows no seasons and no bounds

"A kiss is magical because it touches the heart." Quote By Poet
The silent kiss can touch your heart,
a heart that is very far apart.
I kissed your letters then licked the glue,
as I sent all my love to you.
Red lips went flying through the mail,
with a perfume spray friend never stale.
You are living so far away,
will you get my lips and perfume mail today?
Hope you can read what I want to say,
I am sending a big laugh your way.
Being away from a love one is hard,
miss talking with only reading a card.
Days feeling like you are not in your prime,
but you must go on until the next time.
Loving calls ending with the silent kiss,
how do I say you are the one I do miss?
[Topic # 2: "When I feel sad that my friend has drifted away"]
alone's ache only grows stronger-~as sand streams through glass without my soul
2.
Miss you, dear friend- your fading memory so sadly pulled down the shade.
Even though you shouldn't have left me, I knew it was time to say goodbye.
No more pain and suffering and hurt coming from your eyes.
No more lonely nights with hurt and continuous dismay.
Time is winding down, each and every day.
You start to feel the sickness, and it hurts you inside.
As fear took over, your eyes closed as you began to die.
You took your last breath as the light began to shine,
God opened His arms and welcomed you and said, "You precious child of Mine."
If only tears could wash away the pain
or fill the empty pit that sudden loss creates
If that were true then this old heart
would numb with overflowing
This hole which resonates inside
seems vast and never-ending
At every turn, the memories
are all that I can see
If only tears could bring back just a blink
of one more minute
of one more touch and one more kiss
you’d be here evermore
But tears are only water filled of love
and reminiscing
And though a sweet release
they can but only fill the sea
For my sweet Monte

How much I miss you/
Words can not explain/
You're so far away from me/
I have to close my eyes/
And reach into my mind/
To bring you forth/
To wrap my arms around you/
To show you how much I miss you/
Life makes me lonely/
I truly miss you/
Everytime I see your face/
The sun shines down on me/
Which makes me/
Miss you more than ever/
Can you see or feel my sorrow/
Even though you're/
Not in my life anymore/
I will always miss you/
Oh.../
Why did you all abandon me/
I never done the crime/
But I don't think I need your pity/
In life/
We find out the hard way/
Who our true friends are/
My darling, I am eternally grateful to you for:
Being the love of my life
Being my Florence Nightingale
Putting up with me all these years
Bearing and raising our children
Being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother
Supporting me unconditionally
Inspiring me to be the best that I can be
Giving my life purpose
Being my calming influence
Making our home wonderful
Your creativity and skills
Your brilliance, tolerance and understanding
Forgiving me for my stupidity
Being my best friend
Accepting me for who I am
Always being there for me
Always looking beautiful
Always being a good listener
Accepting my terrible sense of direction
Your calm in the face of any storm
“I don’t know what you saw in me
but I thank God in heaven for making it be”!
Pain of parting - rubaiyat
In shadows deep, where silent sorrows lie,
the pain of parting whispers a goodbye;
With heavy heart, I face the lonely night,
beneath a weeping, starless, empty sky.
The days we shared now distant, fading dreams,
like fragile echoes in forgotten streams;
Each memory a thorn within my soul,
a testament to love's now broken beams.
Yet in this grief, a tender light remains,
a bond that time nor distance can restrain;
Though paths diverge, our spirits intertwine,
through tears, the essence of our love sustains.
For though we part, our hearts are ever near,
in every sigh, your presence lingers here;
Until we meet again, my cherished friend,
in love's eternal embrace, we persevere.
