Premium Member I Memorized Your Metaphors

"You are the apple of my eye."
Such was my favorite among your love-lines
reverberating sincere romance-bloom
amidst tenderness' bliss
since you did well to lavish me with your care...

"You are my everything."
Such was never a flattery to me
imagining my precious value
against your other darling possessions
as you just had me as your partner since we were still young...

"My world revolves around you."
Such gave me cringe the moment I heard it
yet you had that proven along your presence
which made me comforted and at peace
every time you held me close...

Grateful am I to God* that you made me feel so loved
Until now, your love-filled messages
keep on echoing the passion of your heart
resurrecting memories of our wondrous togetherness---
---especially that I memorized your metaphors.

*1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Premium Member Metaphors

I memorize your metaphors
Upon a silken cloud
White with chase ambitions strong
Woven wild within

The panic plays while waiting true
A racing heart of royal blue
Songs of simple silence stare
Beyond a rising moon

Butterflies from distant eyes
Forever begging home
Never ending, not pretending
Bend slowly in the flow

Midnight spell of purple chasm
Daylight under siege
Waking to a new tomorrow
Left only with thy seed

Mesmerized by your chrysanthemum smile,
I drifted in bliss inside the halo
of your gladioli gaze
and as I studied the grace
of that forget-me-not face,
I memorized your metaphors
and your many luscious similies,
like the lushness of your eyelashes
that frame your wide, ebony eyes
as if they were the wisps
of delicate cirrus clouds
adrift in a crystal sky.

And so it is
your face will forever
be stenciled
on the fabric of my mind,
for you are my
ever-marvelous, magical muse.
A multitude of the hues of you
are exquisitely inked
indelibly
in my soul.

Premium Member NUCLEAR SUNSET

She wears her soul on her nuclear skin
Brightest chartreuse yellow
morphs into roseate pink,
promising peace
she illumes from within her
There is only one of her,
 yet is never alone
her golden rays cascade
warmth in cobalt skies
embracing as she dwells alongside
touching universes both eternal,
balanced with an external expression
in both realms reflection
overlooking the gallant mountain tops
gentle undulating waves,
fullness in emptiness
amongst Spring’s delicacies
 a force of nurturing generosity
fostering spirit giving endlessly
championing her cause
She watches from behind
the highest hilltops,
below the erosion formed summits
Setting onto the lowlands
and forbidding foothills
as her changing light
transforms the ether
 she gazes at the unfolding
of the stars, faint specs,
she is still, in their presence
as the blue evokes
his calm, she catches glimpses
shades of salmon trail faded ones,
they bring hopeful sonnets
May she let subdued
light shine upon her
 blushing rays?
Perhaps one day,
whilst the night’s indigo sky
looks after her

Premium Member Two spiritual metaphors entwined

‘The human spirit is the lamp of God’,
an aphorism as old as the ages,
which ego notices not and that’s odd,
for it’s easily grasped by the sages,
since in their hearts fire of God-search rages.
We’re not this body-mind but living light,
breathing us gently by day and by night,
so as we dance with Cupid, cheek to cheek,
recognising the source of bliss delight,
we learn ‘we’re he we have set out to seek’.

Believe Me, You

Me, alone,
in understanding
that everything
is in the same moment.

Happening feebly now,
hobbling along
like some cripple
caught under hurricane debris.

I can see it now,
the dreams I will have tomorrow
happening now,
later, again, today.

I can smell the meal
from the next town over
and feel the hunger
I will never cease to satisfy,
ever.

It itches
like a mad dog with rabies,
scratching its back
against loose bark
for the bear.

Someone will hear
these metaphors
and take them to heart.

Someone else
will keep moving along,
ignoring everything.

It is all happening at once,
the commotion.

And all we can do
is toss our beliefs forward
into the sea,
and the sea
will toss them back to us
without a care in the world,

making us question
if those similes were metaphors,
or if the sea dried up.

Life's a die that has been cast,
a sometimes choppy ocean, vast.
Life's a circle, too, I'm told.
I gaze upon it as I grow old,
from a dusty wooden hull,
a circle, inscribed in a quadrilateral.

Premium Member Metaphors and Similes

A metaphor is a simile,
and a simile is like a metaphor,
but what I can't see easily,
is why we must know the difference for.

Reality

You have put different characters in your mind,
Searching for love that anyone in this world have tried, but it's really hard to find.
You paid your attention to the treasures that you could probably feel
the soothing sensation of living in this harmonious systematic universe that is unreal

Yet, no one could question your existence in this world that you created in your mind for an innocuous thrill
A space where you were able to stand still, because you cannot be punished for the times you killed and the moments that you are planning to steal.
And that is how idealistic the society I wanted to deal.

But funny how this humankind could turn you into a creep.
By searching for love you cannot have the person you wanted to keep
A set of standards, words that rip
You have to learn how to swim in this horrible ocean so deep
And you have no idea what happens when you dared to skip.

What am I To Do

you died, and i didn’t.
and that’s the part i don’t know what to do with.

i still open my mouth
to tell you things and forget there’s no one listening.
sometimes i whisper anyway
because silence is too loud without you.

your voice isn’t gone.
it’s just stuck
somewhere between my ears and my ribs,
playing on loop when the world goes quiet.

i don't want closure. i want you.
i want the arguments.
your bad advice.
your dumb laugh during car rides.
your stupid way of loving.

i want to scream that you're missing
this ugly beautiful life you were supposed to be part of.
i want to wake you up from
whatever nothing you're lying in
and drag you back here because
i don't know who i am without
you watching me become it.

they say grief softens. but all i feel is sharp.
glass where your hands should be.
fire in my chest every time someone says your name
like it’s just a word
and not my entire insides falling apart.

i still talk to you.
because stopping feels like betrayal.
because forgetting feels like murder.
because if i don’t,
who else will keep you alive?

El Mismo, Despiadado Bolso

Pálida, quedó la Luna,
por la decepción.
Pero sé,
q alumbrara aún-
está y las mil
noches qué restan.
Ella seguirá filtrándose
por la persiana
de la alcoba.

Los árboles,
jugosos de fruta
y hoja verde,
qué alimentaban
siempre a los dos--
con la sequía
de tú ausencia--
yo se qué no
sé desplomaran.

Tús pertenecías,
junto a poecias
q ardían de pasión,
con rosas
marchitadas--creo yo,
secaron de dolor.
Saqué para borrar
tú rastro y huella--
del armario.

Juntó
todo lo heche--
en el
mismo,
despiadado
bolso,
de tú adiós---
para qué por ti--
me prohíba, llorar.
