What Is That You Speak Of

what is this moo you speak of
could it be
upon field and grass
beauty of greenery
in summer’s wain alas

what is this woof you speak of
could it be
upon the catch of a ball
wide eyed a wag
from a masterly call

what is this oink you speak of
could it be
upon the slop in one’s trough
a roll in some mud
then off for a scoff

what is this meow you speak of
could it be
upon tuna for tea
a curl by the fire
and a brush on her knee

what are these sounds you speak of
could it be
you’re all laughing and joking
look at the humans
and the mess they are making

Black Colt Vesper

I lay my dark and spiraled finger
against pure and corded wildwood,
In the wailing current
of the rich wheels of wilderness,
Before the sonant vesper
of dreaming by a worshiping colt,
Shielded from sheaths of stone
by a tree marked in enfolding moss;
The flashing tongues of rolling air
in fluent, black, and breathing flesh,
Smoking in its morning cloak
of great, weaving draperies of fog:
Steeled ink, lashed still and damp
against the awning jaws of dawn.
And from the deep comes soaring
the melody of waters roaring,
Suspended in elephantine glory,
in masterly paintings of old quarry.

Premium Member Vermillion Twilight

Brilliant brushstrokes of a masterly mind,
golden glimmers of a scarlet sunset emerge
                                glinting glorious gossamer glow...
                         viewing vermillion twilight poignant portrait
                                etch enchanting serene solitude,
                          peaceful Palms sparkle tender tranquility...
                                opalescent ocean inspires bliss.

Premium Member I Miss You Only If You Miss My Smile

I miss you only if you miss my smile
I desire you only if you like my style
I always do my best and will continue to do so
You enjoy my impromptu speech and tempo
You know that I am opinionated
I express myself freely and overtly like Ed
One of my favorite politicians
Indeed, a masterly eloquent *****sapiens
I say what I have to say fearlessly and candidly
I do care a lot; yes. Yes, I do care immensely
You know exactly what to do now
Don't ask me why, what, who and how
Be very pretty tonight and do the chores
I'll be ready. Don't forget to fix the doors.

Premium Member The Lure of Sailing

Out at sea, serene and soothing,
on a sheet of lapis lazuli,
a graceful forward motion,
kissing the coast line,
sailing at high speed,
skimming over the salty waters,
the breeze caressing my face,
filling the taut sails with power.

A short distance away
sunlit vistas, rugged rocks,
and white washed villas.
Afar a dolphin jumps out of the water,
above gracious gulls glide
foraging for food, the tasty sardines,
turtles paddle close, a rare sight.
I veer to evade a close companion,
a masterly maneuver,
a sense of elation,
beauty, peace and joy.
Let me live here forever
or at least until summer lasts.

Premium Member Caring and Sharing

Offices built but seldom let,
Houses without bricks,
How much higher can rents rise
For a home made of sticks

It would not take a tornado,
Or even a light breeze,
If you can afford a cheap house,
Be careful if you sneeze.

Nothing today is made to last,
That is to our shame,
Unlike the architecture of the past
Designing was their game.

A craft that took dedication
A craft that took time to learn,
It was a vocation.
Not for money they could earn.

Where are all the artisans,
That we are losing every day,
Is it because most people,
Cannot afford to pay,

For fine carpentry
And items made with pride and care,
Created masterly,
With passion and flare.

It is a throwaway society,
Sadly this is true,
Integrity and Morals,
Truth. and justice too.

Nothing seems to matter,
Fewer people seem to care,
Choosing to close their eyes,
At the mayhem going on out there.

Premium Member Never Alone

Ascending at a very rapid pace*;
Making haste from the pit below.
Soon there arrived a knocking at my door,
as I imagined something rotten to the core.
But to my blessed and pleasant surprise,
There appeared a most beautiful being,
most masterly devised and starring into my eyes.

As I opened the door reluctantly, I beheld his caring eyes.
From the hell below, he had survived and also thrived.
He was sent to me to share and sweeten my story.
He knew me well- my entire history, and I knew not how.

I wanted to bow as his presence embraced me gracefully,
and like a blanket, it filled me with warmth so lovingly.
And like the angel Michael who came to the aid of Gabriel,
He fought, and fights for me presently, against the forces of hell.
About this encounter I shall forever tell,
with the hope that my story serves you well.

Failing Upwards

Back in the day
he used to do any job for good pay.
That was before the abortion clinic.
Then he knew
there was some s..t he would not do.
He got picky,
though getting himself fired was his
most masterly skill.
Occasionally
he would make a little shady money,
however any work was cleaner
then bundling up dead baby parts.

Premium Member Dappled

Doves, mountain robins, starling, pond heron,
Dogs, donkeys, horses, deer, tigers splendid;
Creatures existing in alien terrain
Masterly molded; charmingly blended;
Dappled beauty is enchantment tended,
Gleaming, glowing, glazing and glistening,
Dappled spottiness has brief brightening;
Dappled persons are brave and courageous,
In look solemn, tough, rough and frightening
In actions swift, sharp, sincere, serious...

ART

Art moves me.
Stirs me up,
enchants me.

Art is an expression
of observations, thoughts,
feelings, and reflections.
And the application
of creative prowess
and imagination.

The carvings of forms, either abstract
or three dimensional displayed as
rare, exquisite sculptures that attract.
The symphonies composed, masterly
wherein, different instruments played
in harmony, arranged classily.
Poems sensibly, sublimely penned.
Expressions of diverse thoughts, feelings.
The readers relate and apprehend.

Theme For a Poem

A poem,
                  it's always a land
                    vacant...
                  A flower on the asphalt,
                   a fountain in the desert,
                    an accident on the way...
                  But when done...
                   masterly...
                   It's equal to holy rain
                    in the semi-arid,
                    heaven's blessing... !
