Cuomos goose up New York's scenario
Today Andrew; yesterday, Mario --
  They think they're ladies' men
Each one a 'real gem' --
Andrew's the unlucky lothario

Mario Kart

I was playing my Nintendo
controller in my hand
I guess I dozed off
to Mario Kart land

It was Donkey Kong Stadium
I was in the lead
no one could catch me
as I reached maximum speed

Approaching the finish line
I heard a thundering squreech
slamming into the back of me
was my opponent peach

Everything went dark
and when I opened my eyes
I had fallen off my bed
only a dream to my surprise.

True Cooliness

They say your not cool unless you vape, drink alcohol, smoke weed or lose your virginity,
But as children of God, you have a different identity because you been accepted by the Trinity.
Thinking your not cool because you're not doing that stuff is the trick of the enemy.

Your cool in God's eyes because you have a desire to please him, doing his will while saying no to sin.
You've chosen a path that not many people walk on because it's narrow and straight, a path that separates the real from the fake.

True coolness is holiness.
Instead of walking in fear you walk in boldness.
Being a truly devoted Christian makes you a rebel
It's so easy to fall into sin because it's popular
But following Christ will take life to a whole new level.

It's ok to be trendy but remember who you are and who you belong to.
You don't have to do everything the world tells you to do.
You were made in his image and his likeness, so seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.
Submitting unto his rule will make you truly cool.

A Little Kindness Never Hurt

Kindness is an awesome trait
Many think its fake
But your kindness is see through
And hooks people likebait.

I've gotten so many opportunities because I said a nice word, wrote a poem about someone, or just simply by being a good friend.
It feels good to be on the right side of a deal
to let people know not everyone is
out to lie, cheat, and steal
even if we all do sin.

People have given me money, drove me home, bought me food all because I showed kindness.
Don't get it twisted, kindness is not about doing and expecting in return but rather doing as if you wanted to be done to you.
Otherwords treating people the want to be treated.

Lyrical Power

I spit metaphors and similes,
Nouns and verbs,
I spit these words
For the hood and the burbs.

I speak light in the darkness that surrounds me.
Surrounded by drugs, gunshots and poverty
Hope is still in the air
Because God is apart of me.

I'm no hero but I got the hero within
In the midst of all the sin
I still hold on to my mission
Even when others aren't wit it.

I got Lyrical power in these bones
Everyday I write these poems
To show my passion in using spoken words
In hopes to be a voice to the unheard.

Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat
Is what I use to tell my story
Through the form of poetry
In hopes that God gets the glory.

Why I Write

I write to be a beam of light
for Christ.

I write to inspire
those like me, filled with fire.

I write to be a voice for the youth
looking for truth.

I write to represent
the unrepresented.

I write 4 others, but also 4 self
as I examine my inner wealth.

I write for the misfit those who don't fit in.

I write for the Christian those who want God to listen.

I write for the urban culture
painting pictures like scuplters.

I rep God tru poetry because he's my king like royalty.

I write for those seeking answers tried of lies like cancer.

I write to for the church, building God's turf.

I write to present Christ to show the power of his might.

I wanna live and give life that's the reason why I write

Mario William Vitale

Mario William Vitale
A Connecticut Yankee with a sensitive heart,
a poet who is always thankful when we
comment on his creative work and polite
to others who are just beginning to write.

A gentleman and poet who enters contests
testing the waters of unknown hosts who
might be overly critical and not so kind,
Mario raises himself above the negativity,
realizing that there are ways to conquer
with kindness and truth by sharing his
philosophy throughout his groups.

Mean-spirited people are not his cup of tea,
similar to rubbing salt in an open wound,
Mario believes that there is goodness in
most people as he is an encourager who
believes in bringing out the best of his AP
family throughout the years.

If I could I would bake Mario a pizza with
everything on it except anchovies for being
so empathetic to all.

I Am Black Mario Baloteli

I black like my mother cooking pot,
Beautiful like her tender heart.

Am the same like you,
No difference between us, lovers of animals,
Smarter than monkey lover of banana
Don’t judge me by color for you broke my heart
Who buy my thought?

My covering is dispersed my heart is broken
Very hand knowth upon it own bitterness,
My bitterness is you, for you judge me
My color is not upon darkness or cargos of chaos
I am beautiful and handsome.

Oh! how beautiful my skin shine brighter than
The morning sun reflection of beauty
For the sun design my beauty from my mother
Womb.

Dear Mario Vitale

Suited To Be Recruited

When we have not been letting God bless,
Our minds may always end up in a mess,
And after to Him we did forget to pray,
we soon discovered sadness and dismay.

Have to look nice and be properly suited;
In service you are sure to be recruited;
Then read haiku well written by Jim Horn;
Magnificent poem in your mind will be born.

Jim Horn

Guess you can't have two styles of
poems at the same time.

Dear, Mario Vitale

Ivory Tower for Trump is now too tall;
Takes advantage of and treats us small;
Can be confusing;
Never is amusing;
Deceptive and for him we did not fall.

A Sort of Super Mario Kind of Affair

Every day I am leaping higher
Jumping from brown blocks and green pipes.
From the pluck of fire flowers steams this passion that I pursue So adamantly.
Question mark filled boxes highlighted yellow.
Flickering on and off.
The alchemy of white gloves, stomping and flipping the backs of turtles.
Small mushroom men with small feet.
Flying bullets of unusual size.
Large man eating plants.
I no longer fear the height of odd shaped trees, and small collapsing bridges.
What I fear most are the walls of empty castles.
Flying bullets and funny shaped ghost.
Soon to attack soon as I turn my back.
Lava filled pits. Huge block castles.
Torn blue coveralls. Dull and weathered black boots.
The slip of a shoe and everything I know comes to an end.
Still,
I travel land, sea, desert, space.
No matter what adversity,
In search of a princess that I love so adamantly.
No matter how long the journey

Don'T Be Mario

Why should I face the monsters and fight the battles?
For a princess who runs away and won't let me live with her in the castle?
Why should I risk my life, if a kiss on the cheek is the most I'm going to get?
Go and find someone else to save you princess

I don't care If I like you, or if the interest's deep
I refuse to be Mario chasing after Princess peach
I may think about you, and you may live in my mind
But I won't risk my life for a girl who won't give me her time

You really think because you're pretty and your hairs nice
I'm going to fight monsters and help to save your life
When you have no interest, I refuse to fall for your fake female charm
Even though I won't save you, I don't want you to be harmed

Forget doing all that running around for a female I won't walk with
Forget losing my mind for a female I can't share my thoughts with
Some princesses aren't worth the hassle so you need to let her go
Don't be like Mario

Will Sonia Play Mario-Vision

The spacious arcane hall of Jane & Neal
has thousands of spinning dazzling lights;
it's Friday night and the murmurous noises
of teens lighten up the air-tight atmosphere,
then the happy music fills it with sonorous voices.
Nobody seems to notice Sonia's gorgeous eyes,
although they show sadness, they look surreal;
but in that lonely corner she looks too austere.
How can they ignore her, and let her think
that in that crowd moving in noisy corridors
there's no sympathy, or even boys who don't wink?
Will Sonia play " Mario " to idle away monotous hours?

A note on the picture # 1: This girl seeks a true friendship, but finds none;
and so she chooses to be invisible, in the same way Sonia seeks friends,
but she's ignored by all in the arcane hall.

Mario

Mario is just a game
that has caused me a lot of pain
get so close and then you die
wish that italian could fricken fly
bowser is fricken rude
no one can even stand that dude
he eats so much he has a 7 foot back
i wish he would have a heart attack
so mario ain't no freakin fun
so once i beat it i'm done.

Mario Vs Luigi

My name is Mario and I have an ingrate for a brother, his name is Luigi.
Even though our games are in my name, he's always had it better than me.
He needs to be taught a lesson and it will be left up to me to teach.
The sorry bastard takes everything, he even married Princess Peach.
He always got all of the attention from our father and mother.
Now he wants our games to be called the Super Luigi Brothers.
He went over my head and asked Nintendo to change the title.
I'm so pissed off at him that I'm starting to feel homicidal.
I sued Hollywood Pictures in 1993 because they did something that really made me mad.
When they filmed the Super Mario Bros. Movie, they made me old enough to be Luigi's Dad.
I deserve seniority because I've been in more Nintendo games than Luigi.
I was in Donkey Kong and years later I was in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out as the referee.
Luigi had better learn that I will not take his sass.
If he doesn't shape up, I'm going to kick his Italian ass!

(This poem was inspired by the Super Mario Bros. Games.)
