Premium MemberWhat Makes Me Smile

Greeted by the sound of the ocean all sadness eases away
as I skim the surface of a smile, I suddenly make headway
Showered by rainfalls I am filled with the scent of petrichor
I smile, at the thought that God has cleansed me to the core;

Connected to a Higher Power I am an exquisite human being
smiling for a thousand reasons that only I can totally illumine
Invented out of dust I have become the beating heart of love
and I have a million reasons to smile un-mentioned there of

Loved by many understood by few, I am the twinkle of a star
I smile cuz deep inside I know there is nothing that can mar
Abled and armed with compassion and passion I am strong
I smile because I know I am, the breath of everything I am

What makes me smile is the thought that I am never alone
I have Angels at my side, that I don't need to call or phone
In a heartbeat they are there right beside me everywhere
in sickness or in health I know His Love is always, there !

Into the Blue

Blue as the ocean,
Deep they penetrate.
Searching for the truth behind the iris.
The past is a reliance, but not the end.

A swimmer he must be.
To weather my storms within.
Torrents of rain and massive waves I send with
thoughts.

To let go and let it be is the true test.
A calming voice tames the blue.
Trust lets you make headway to my beautiful island…
starts the bond.

Landfall, lets him explore the white beaches of vulnerability;
Cautious, though, to raise the sea…to swim again.
Beautiful colors dance and twirl.
Fairies play an Irish tune that flush the cheeks.

Onward you trek through the betrayed jungle and the desert of love to reach
the heart of the island.
A fortress of granite looms before you…makes you timid.
Empty armor of those lovers fallen litter the ground.

What makes him different from those that failed?
Instead of forcing his way in or scaling the walls,
This one listens
To your wants and needs.

The ground trembles,
Rocks cascade and crumble.
Revealing the key to each other’s happiness;
Seeing the value and worth in each other.

Premium MemberViolence

Criminal reform - we think of those who deserve a second chance or are caught in a system where they can never make headway, or those who were imprisoned unfairly. But in today’s economy, we let loose, like a violent dam set on destruction, the worst of the worst. It should not need to reach your loved one before you open your eyes to the truth. Who is putting these people in high places to destroy our freedoms?

VIOLENCE

Vehemently the collaboration to do good as
I see fit. To do unto
Others as no other has thought to do. Unthinkable
Love of letting criminals go. Not those
Eager to repent, not the
Nonviolent, but repeat offenders - murderers, rapists… It’s
Criminal to put blinders on, to murder the innocent at
Every turn and to release the Joker and Riddler into Gotham.

Some Are

Some are ……
(Poetic Form:: Argonelles)

Many
are too illogical;
very difficult to convince.
Disputes settled but they'll dismiss;
tried but impossible.

Some are
self-centered, each issue
they'd examine to find what's for
them, if no gain felt, won't care more
discourse to continue.

A few
are unreasonable;
they will behave in such a way
that's unfair, one can't make headway;
they're not amenable.

Hopeful

To be hopeful is to always believe,
To have faith and to not disbelieve,
To wont more from life than is given,
To strive for success to be driven,
To be hopeless is to give up the fight,
To extinguish that bright sparkling light,
It’s so easy to just lay down, give up,
To just run away and, cover it up,
It’s not always the easiest path way,
But having hope will make headway,
Dreaming of hope is just not enough,
You have to work at it and be tough,
Pushing yourself forward you’ll achieve,
There will be barriers but just believe,
Have faith in yourself, and your abilities,
Ignore the liabilities and impossibilities,
Believe in the opportunities, and positivities
Take advantage of all possible probabilities.

A Teacher

I am a teacher

Eager beaver

Full of beans

I build bridges

And burn the candle at both ends

I am a teacher

Cap in hand

Full of the milk of human kindness

I fight tooth and nail

To make my pupils see reason

I am a teacher

As hard as nails

Face like thunder

I resent cheap shots

And the breaking of every rule in the book

I am a teacher

With a carrot and a stick

I bring my pupils to heel

I reward who reach for the moon

I clip pupils’ wings

If they go far and off the rails

I am a teacher

Not a mouse potato

And not behind the times either

I am all ears

I bare my soul to my pupils

I make them explore all avenues

And go the extra mile

I am a teacher

I have my heart set on giving

It is a long row to hoe

I will make headway

Pull out all the stops

And hang in there

That’s what I have on the brain.

When Next You Meet a New Today

When next you meet a new today
How did you spend your yesterday
Did you work hard or did you play
And if you spoke what did you say?

When provoked did you walk away
And save it for another day
Or let your temper go astray
Then wish you’d gone another way?

You try your best most everyday
Your troubles and pain not to weigh
Some days you seem to make headway
As from right path you do not stray.

New promises made you must obey
So with your folded hands you pray
That you’ll do better come what may
When next you meet a new today.

Premium MemberCorruption

Corruption curse spreading fast
Offset merit driven goals
Good turned bad in a flash
Yield black money to ache our souls.
Its evil tangles we embrace
As it decays reality
And fashions misery
Disgust and falsehood we must face.
It crafts income disparity
The rich become richer
And the poor become poorer
The uncorrupt lose heavily.
Inferiors rule their superiors
Blind the law and set its claws
But none discovers its flaws
So let’s try to become rescuers.
The weeds guises galore must go
Honest ones must make headway
It’s time we fight it all the way
For justice, corruption must go.

Designed By Dreams

Come my love, let us dream and fly away to France.
C’est la vie when night time falls and déjà vu grows strong.
Let us risk reality and dream the whole night long.
Fantasies, come twirl and dance then, bring us sweet romance.
Joi de vivre perchance askance, let our thoughts enhance.
Say au revoir, everyone, together we belong.
Forever joined in happiness singing life’s sweet song.
Let us cross that great expanse where hearts are free to prance.
Embrace with me this nighttime dream; fly away…perchance!

Dreams become reality, grown from thoughts and days.
We’ll stop to drink café au lait strolling down midways.
Hear Edith Piaf’s “La Vie en Rose” sing to our minds.
Reality can make headway watching dreams' sashays.
Let us go to Arc de Triomphe, then, watch the French ballets.
In notre Paris we shall be, as by our dreams designed.

The nagging,
The pushing,
The constant prodding.

You try,
You work,
You make headway,

But it's ignored,
It's not enough,
It's never enough.

You become bitter,
You're angry,
You become morose.

Your will is strong,
You've done your best,
You're clearing hurdles,

But you aren't fast enough,
You aren't strong enough,
YOU are not enough.

The nagging is back,
The fault finding is back,
The blaming is back.

The berating,
The name calling,
Pushing you to the edge.

You won't break,
You refuse to break,
You lash out,

You scream,
You cry,
You fight back.

He stares at you,
He says there's something wrong with you.
You're insane.

You're crazy alright. Crazy to stay in that mud bath.

Personifying Gratis

A beacon so true
Brigand beyond the blue
A harbinger, a clue
Voice with hope to imbue

A brighter, hopeful day
A light to make headway
A guide; a mainstay
To illuminate my pathway

A teacher to instruct in mundane activities
A politician to educate on urbane civilities
A preacher to warn of vice and banalities
A doctor to cure all diseases and debilities

Wisdom to learn when mentor's fail
Integrity to serve when statesmen flail
Virtue to live righteously when sermons are stale
Prayer to comfort when physician's medicine cannot avail

Discovery of Self....A Journey

As the northern winds briskly blow
headlong,I make headway
blinded destination,
as teary eyed reddened....faces
the sharpness stings as glass shards

There is no charted course,on this adventure
as folly has lost it's lustre
driven by a sense of madness
clearing the mind as a cloudless sky
will overwhelm soon enough

The constant battering and badgering
of unknown forces
continues on,in this ill fated state
mustering strength from constantly driven
source of peace a continual search

Why me,is not mine to ask
the what,becomes my only task
where,may still linger a question
the who,remains my gathered lessons........

Go Away Spell

I hear your tiny fingers shuffle
against the textured walls, trying
to feel for a crack to slide into
and hide from the fact that you are
still too small to make big changes.

It is the same
for many, for most, that can not move
mountains or make headway
and simply decide to sit quietly in
anger and wait for anything
to cut enough to create an outburst.

I feel your eyes stare into the room
as you smell the candles cast the scent
of vanilla and sulfur into the doorway.
Welling from within, emotions rise
and fall with ears strained and weary bones
ready to stop and sneak back to sleep.

It is different for you
to be without a voice, to be outside
of decision and determination in these matters
of heart and home. This is hard
to be small and quiet in a loud
and large part of your world.
