Memorial Day Disfunction
Packing up your things today
No way that you can stay
Your time to fly away
 Keep your demons at bay
Not making any headway
 Tired of you in replay
Cashing in your sick pay
 No more a fiancé
Fifty shades of your grey
 This is my power play
Live with love a better way
 This memorial day
Our independence May...

Today's America
Reformation of the weak, into bold.
The implementation of better understanding,
As to stray from repetition. Avant-Garde;
Those who are compelled by the unorthodox,
Seldom find peace alongside those with headway.
All effort applied. Only to regain the same footing.
Monotonous.

Young Jack
You blush sweetly, under hand
As I study for your reaction
I am getting my satisfaction
But no headway made on land
Can you repel your comfort
As true compliment is paid
Searching for connection made
Ships to dock at port
Intrigues your youth to me
Subtle tension in your shy smile
Dare I go to far, I dare to see
Clinging to charm and wile
The electric sent, it grabbed for me
I can only dream, just for awhile...

Some Are
Some are …… (Poetic Form:: Argonelles) Many are too illogical; very difficult to convince. Disputes settled but they'll dismiss; tried but impossible. Some are self-centered, each issue they'd examine to find what's for them, if no gain felt, won't care more discourse to continue. A few are unreasonable; they will behave in such a way that's unfair, one can't make headway; they're not amenable. ~X~X~X~

Al Alberts
Your time with the Four Aces was of an earlier day. I listened to your solo recording of “On The Way To Cape May”. On Billboard’s charts, it didn’t make much headway. However, I like your song. That I can honestly say. Did you really write that ditty on the way to Ocean City? You description of the area was very accurate and pretty. Your local television show was what I watched each Saturday. Al, I miss you since 2009 when you passed away.

A Trying Day
Just one of those days,
Wrong in many ways,
Nothing goes right,
For anything I need, I have to fight.

Lawyer pisses me off,
Social services too,
The clinic gives me 16 perscriptions,
The pharmacy says, "Not for you!!"
On the phone all day
Makin' no headway,
I finally give up, and go to bed
Juggling curses inside my head

Somedays you're the windshield
Somedays you're the bug,
Seems like today,
I hit a clear wall,
My bug wings smashed
To the roadside I fall....

Random Thoughts
Today,as i lay impatiently in wait
for my ever elusive headway
regrets and pains awash me

The should have's and could have's
the imbalance of nature
the failures of Mama Africa

Maybe,my optimism is far-fetched
but then,i shouldn't be chastised
for being too much of a believer
in a world that bore so much promise

When did we become faceless?
how did we inherit the alps heart?

The cycle of wrongs seem endless
A soothsayer once said to me
"Hold still,yearn little and hope
nothing"...

What Is Life?
An expedition began years ago,
Devoid of a significant Destination,
Christened LIFE.

Making headway,
Encircled by plenteous acquaintances,
“EXPERIENCE” is the upshot.

Progressing ahead,
Corollary of capability,
Precise judgmental ability
Is the effect of “Experience”

Cautious progression,
In profession and personality;
Sensible Relationships,
Overlooking the covetous,
Dedicated and ingenuous,
Undoubtedly a boulevard to “SUCCESS”

Is this really what we call “LIFE”?...
