Lucky Strikes was his cigarette
Soothing his nerves from what he could expect
He had been at war since ‘43
And his War story had been something to see
It was his unit’s turn for the front line
And he knew the next weeks would not be kind
The sergeant called break and they went to ground
And with his friends they gathered around
He took his Lucky Strikes from his pocket
And slowly opened the wrapper of the packet
There had been other battles that he made it through
Not wanting to jinx himself he knew what to do
One of the cigarettes was taken out
And he reversed it in the packet for luck it was about
He would leave this cigarette to last one
Wanting to be alive to smoke means he won.

I always think about the first time we danced
The first time me met wasn't luck it was chance
You're an amazing person, so gentle and kind
One thing I can say is that you're constantly on my mind
I love being around you and I love your touch
I will never lie, hurt you and such
Our conversations and times together are out of this world
The way you look at me at times make me blush like a little girl
You're so soft and comfortable to be around
The way you make me feel is unprofound
These things I write and what I say
Are true to the fact on this very day
I think about you more than I should
Between me and God it's understood
I'm here for you anytime you need
Just know you have my heart, yes indeed
TV used to make laundromats feel exciting in their ads
For those of you who have never been, you may be fooled.
For those of us who have, we know better.
You do not wear high heels, a dress, and pearls.
You do not dance and sing around the dryers.
There are crying children everywhere, and angry mothers.
People are impolite and rude before they leave
Everyone is tired, and their backs are breaking.
The laundry mat is not a place to go to relax.
You cannot read there. The machines are too loud.
There is a change machine, but it is usually out of coins.
Especially on Saturday morning, when everyone is there.
You try to choose a time when no one is there.
Good luck, it cannot be done.
If you have to sell your children to buy your own washer, do it.
A delightful dawn by blossoms bewitching
A greeting just purely fetching
Flora being fabulously flawsome
From the bestower just awesome
Expecting such updates cool
To become again a rhyming 'full'
Dashing Luck it gives me
As I find pearls from sea
Of words and phrases pure
Diving deep in a way sure
Rare flowers and so is the status
Making me to compose a verse
Eulogising the eternal grace
Of the Helen from Carnatic race..!!
The scent is in the winds, scattered thy.
Intoxicated I started myself.
I thought I should tell you.
Which started in my heart now.
The scent is in the winds, scattered thy.
Intoxication I started myself.
I am now loving your laughs.
I Accept every one in you.
Anger is your love filled.
Your love climbed on my head.
Whatever luck it might be written now.
I'll be on your forever.
In your eyes are your fun,
I started convincing now.
I thought I should tell you.
Which started in my heart now.
Deeper Into Hole
Deeper into hole myself may have dug
To discover where it was I should plug
In my poem to be the most effective;
More work must do that is detective.
Subject next which one should I select
That to proper area will now direct
Me so my abilities I may enhance
Luck it may only be a slight chance.
Write more will continue on and on
Until all my wits and day has gone
And I am sure you never will mind
Poet named Solomon I did find.

My true love and I have found a special place,
Inside hearts, inside minds- a dedicated space.
He fills me with a confidence which I have never known,
Now I live with head held high- a queen upon a throne.
He makes me smile, makes me laugh, holds me when I weep.
I know he’s always there for me- even whilst I sleep.
He puts up with my foibles and I put up with his.
For what’s the point in grumbling when we have all of this?
Is it serendipity? We started out so far apart.
It may be luck, it may be fate but there’s one thing that I know in my heart.
Today we make eternal vows, I am now his bride.
Regardless of what the future holds, I’ll never leave his side.
Poor old Guido Fawkes who was born up in York
fought in Spain, rebel flame there was lit
and though it is known as the 'eighty year's war'
when he came back he hadn't aged a bit.
With Wintour and Catesby , they all hatched a plot
to send all of our MP's to hell
and only Lord knows if
with all that explosive
with more luck it would have gone well.
Fawkes heard people coming
who were checking the plumbing, their footsteps were near ,
and much louder.
Instead of the rats and occasional cat, they found
several tons of gunpowder.
And trapped in the cellar that unlucky fellah
no chance of receiving a pardon,
midst the hot dogs and beer
is punished each year
on a bonfire in my neighbour's garden.
Come on in to this wonderful place.
We have something to fit every ones taste!
Whether it be Roulette, cards, or some dice...
please spend your money...don't you think twice.
For those who like slots...you can win different pots...
just raise up your bet, cause you could win lots.
What's this I hear...you've spent all your cash.
Isn't that a shame...as you make a mad dash.
To the ATM you run...now isn't this fun?
Your reasoning is that you weren't really done.
Your luck it will change...you keep telling yourself...
as you think of your bills at home on a shelf.
The machines they call you...
they know you by name...
maybe it's time you try to refrain.

I became dizzy from the grand heat
I jump and stumble on my large feet
I fought to keep my balance upright
But soon sweet green grass filled my sight
As I got up, wiped at my face
I saw layers and layers of petticoat lace
Oh my luck, it had to be!?
'Miss' Julie Aberly
I knew, all day about me she would lie
Told me the smirk on her lips
And the twinkle in her eyes
NEVER venture outdoors when it's raining cats and dogs
It rained cats and dogs during a drought and the farmers were NOT amused
It rained cats and dogs and the county WORKERS were not amused
However they were grateful because there had been recent layoffs
Due to inflation, every time it rains it rains, quarters from heaven
When Gene Kelly sang in the rain he got arrested for disturbing the peace
So Donald O’Conner had to take over and HE got arrested for public intoxication
So they asked Debbie Reynolds and she said, ‘You have GOT to be kidding... I just got my hair done’
Every time it rains, it rains pe…Ouch (THAT’S gonna bruise)
Just my luck…It rained pennies from heaven and I forgot to turn my freekin' umbrella upside down
Due to inflation in now rains quarters from heaven (Dude, you seen the price of UMBRELLAS lately?)
Sure wish it would rain on somebody ELSE’S parade for a change
Once it HAILED on my parade (The floats sustained irreparable damage and there were minor injuries)
Nobody’s gonna rain on MY pa…(Uh, God…You forgot to clear this with Mother again didn't you?)

I was not born to compete the world
but i was made soooo....
i've bought to mould...
but wouldn't do soo....
what a bad luck it is to me
what i thought it to be......
what i expected was not mine
then i saw some one who shines.....
i was left there all alone
and had no dare to walk lone
as i turned back it was all dark
and the people making me mark....
while i was left lone i cried
and then i saw some one standing with pride....
she was the one caught my hand...
and he was, who accepted with all his love and....
their eyes with shining tears...
they are the one who call them my dears....
I CALL THEM MY MOM AND DAD
During a cold winters night on a dark and lonely road
When no hope is in sight for there is so much owed
With the sky now falling but the bottom so near
There is the One who is calling and His voice is so clear
When death has struck and tragedies so soon befall
With only bad luck it feels like you're losing it all
Everyday being full of dissension now taking it's toll
His Name you only need mention and He will comfort your soul
With the enemy closing in and the battle seemingly lost
Oh my how your sin has come with a terrible cost
Seeming only to escalate as disaster is now so commonplace
This is not the time to wait in asking for God's Saving Grace
With so much now upon you and no where to turn
What are you going to do when will you ever learn
He is drawing you near, Jesus is calling you back
For He holds You so dear wanting to give you all that you lack
His love for you so profound it fills the Heavens with glory
For you He will ground as you read about His story(Bible)
Begin noticing His loving words to you as each day you have grown
And you too will know it's true that we never walk alone
Happen.
Love isn’t something you can give or take from it just happens
My life isn’t something planned or prepared for it just happens
The World that we live in wasn’t a coincidence it just happens
The Sun rising and falling wasn’t pure luck it just happens
The Moon and the bright stars in the night sky just happens
These things that happen are for every child so they can dream and make them come true because it just happens
Lucky You
Do you believe in luck?, The answer is 'No'. Everyone
tells us "good luck" or "bad luck" the truth being we
all make our luck, it depends on chance or coincidence
that luck appears, if we gamble we usually have a 50%
chance of succeeding depending on the odds against us.
Many people have accidents and become hurt, the luck
then depends on whether we were careless or cautious.
Luck has nothing to do with it, it is just an excuse we all
accept as either good luck or bad luck, luck plays no
real decision in our life, it is a choice we all make the
right and the wrong choice, this is determined by us.
the flip of a coin, two different directions in our life
they are called cross-roads and we all must face
them consistently, the fancy name for these decisions
is called Luck, so if you ever hear good luck it means
you have made the right decision and not good luck.
