I am the Martyr you shall not want
I lay me down across waters
You will not cross
I wander mountainsides alone
To bring their grandeur
To your door
And run through gauntlets unafraid
Your cross to bear
I climb the steps of lofty peaks
Through storm and strife and dark of night
And rage the sky in grave distress, for you –
For you, my noble quest, I bear witness
To the blade and knife
To the callous force of Nature’s might
And in despair cry out your name
Though it radiates in muted tones
The crimson luster of its flame
Yea, though I walk through hidden valleys
In the shadow of the midday sun
And move in darkness, as it were
In honor of my sacred word
And wander in the wilderness
These long and restless years
Seeking a deliverance
I seem not to deserve
I yet am bound, in act and deed
By oath of blood and oath of right
Wrested from the Moon
One long and anguished night
Unto my lone and solitary quest
‘Less by loss of hope, of heart, of fight
I lose of you, my love, my life –
Living on Main Street
life keeps on flowing,
Monday mornings
trucks pound the pavement
shaking awake the apartments and homes
regardless of the hour, ever on the ride
moving, trucking along.
Here, you can see the world go by
at its best, at its worst,
Sleepers on the street wake
pushed along by ignoring crowds
rushing, hurrying to and from
home to work
work to home.
Where do they come from
where was their place in life before this?
Parked cars give up their time
metering's expire
they move on
just a little down the line
or just across to the other side.
So many now
make this their home,
Wanderers, wanderings, survival
from the havens that once were
to this point
a journey taken up
by necessity, loss of hope, help for the body and the soul.
This is Main Street living
on the threshold of future pasts.
"Despair is generally defined as a loss of hope. In existentialism, it is more specifically a loss of hope in reaction to a breakdown in one or more of the defining qualities of one's self or identity." Søren Kierkegaard

Sheer numbers endanger other species.
Humans have not lived on St. Kilda for
nine long decades.
mind-boggling
man's choice -

elements
two thousand years.
Wind, water, weather and wildlife won out.

St. Kilda is a remote archipelago off the coast of Scotland.
The remaining 36 residents chose finally to leave
an environment which had become unsustainable. Imagine
their despair in leaving - displaced, adjusting to a new existence.
I know me
I'm more than you see
I accept me as I accept life
I avoid the strife
I am at peace when away from people
The earth is my steeple
I have hid from people so long.
They seem to like to do me wrong.
But I really dont care.
Sometimes I don't dare .
I have no clear understanding of mankind.
But I understand the mind.
I left life behind
Walked alone
Reflection of all I have been shown
The pain
The strain
The stain
Loss of hope
It is not real
Love, anger rage hate
Doesn't need to be your fate
One emotion , many different perspective of a single desire.
It's all from the same fire.
People at times, themselves they fight
What is wrong or even ,what is right
What keeps you up at night. Acknowledge, acceptance , embrace it, then let it go
This I know
If you stop your fight the energy you can save.
Hate makes for an early grave.
Control your emotion or it Controls you
This is true.
One emotion just diferent aspects of a single desire
Burning with flickering fire
I know me
I'm more than you see
I accept me as I accept life
I avoid the strife
I am at peace when away from people
The earth is my steeple

War
the merciless violence
death and silence
loss of hope and self reliance
They walked in the sunshine
dead people lay everywhere -
it is completely absurd

Loss
Loss of hope
Loss of pride
Loss of dignity
Loss of willingness.
Willingness to work
Willingness to wake up in the morning
Willingness to play the part
Willingness to care
Willingness to try
Gone.
Everybody always tells me all these great things about myself, but I realize they're lying
Lying to make me feel better
Lying to patch the bloody wounds.
Wounds of abuse, but it won't work. Nothing will fix me.
I'm unrepairable.
Smoke billows up
as loss expunged to ashes
that crumble and crackle
in the flickering flames
that lick up all that is left.
The smoke streaks the sky
with streamers heralding
the loss of hope and dreams
in puffs and swirls
skyward.
THE CONDITION WE LIVING IN:Part 1:
The condition we living in,
Kindly ponder over it…?
Hello, Isn`t it intriguing to see the nation loss of hope?
The powers of oneness is no more in existence,
The spirit of patriotism is cast under sections of canalizations,
And everyone seems to put on bright eyes enforced by a grin on a face?
In fact, that’s just a mirage of uncertainties.
The individual heart is yoked with disappointments and depression.
It seems the nation have given up on her benchmark,
Only to pursue paganism as a solution.
Truth is lost in the mouth of our ignorant leaders.
Yet, they come to spit words of promises to propagate relief.
The nation is now reconstructed with deceptions, favoritism and jeopardy.
This is causing millions to be poverty-stricken,
And also plaguing livelihoods with extreme maleficence.
Indeed, this is the condition we living in.
I thought to myself "Is this real or a dream?"
The wonder at such a moment "can it be? then why me?"
Amazing how deceptive we are to ourselves
Just to have a companion to love and grow old
The common conception better to have loved then have not
Is a lie told by people given up on their shot
I faintly remember regurgitating that theme
But regretfully stated renouncing the lie as I glean
This sadness and sorrow is something that surely will pass
But it feels like I'm dying like the end's come at last
Victory is sweet but defeat has me stricken
A funeral for innocence loss of hope, no conviction
Hopelessness rots inside as the day's promises leave
Left with nothing but pain and the shame well received...
Can you feel the emptiness?
And the feel of pain
It is there for all to know
Lost and gone forever
Never to be see
Memories held forever
I feel so full of pain
Loss of hope and fell in the dark
I didn’t know what I was looking for
I was denied true happiness and joy
What happened I couldn’t say
I still fall and lose my way
Still not sure where I fit
Finally, I found what I am looking for
You the one who enlighten my thought
From China, Covid-19 its name,
Travelled west, and here it came.
Affecting many, making them ill.
It’s one purpose, seeming to kill.
Coughing, spreading, without knowing.
Events cancelled, no movies showing.
Calls for calm, as it takes its toll,
Morons stockpiling toilet roll.
Panic buying, hand gels and soap.
People dying, a loss of hope.
This virus, it cares not.
Though it hates the weather hot.
Take extra care, if you’re unwell,
And it will, be just swell.
Wash your hands, to stop the spread,
Else you may, well end up dead!
Forbid that you find yourself shattered from loss of hope
This can bind you to the verge to go to sparrows point
It’s there that one harbors this feeling of loss
who perceives the ocean’s ledge as a way to release the pain.
Out on the ledge the mind cannot reason under desperation
One slip could end the grief that chained up the heart to suffer
also taking one’s life to the rocks below.
It’s where sparrows flocked to gain hope which would provide them with powerful wings to fly
Those that flew demonstrated they had wings to soar over rough waters. Some with fear remained on the edge laden with emotional distress
Hope became strong enough to overcome fear and take action
Taking action to rid oneself of lost hope will find that lift
One may not be able to lift up without seeking those winds.
Hope must remain within oneself to succeed beyond a loss
Without hope, not even the winds will give rise to soar
Hope generates an uplifting feeling of encouragement
which will ground negative feelings of hopelessness
You like the sparrows will be able to soar with the winds,
leaving that loss on the ledge at sparrows point.
From lands aglow with carnige
To aftermaths of reconstruction
The frozen shock of human failure
Is won with great loss
My peace is won in policy
My peace is an armchair's comfort
But from violence of the flesh
To the nightmares of the mind
The soilder's peace is not kind
Why must we strip men and women
From the freedoms of the heart
To display the force of finance
Why must we rattle the bones
Of the sons and daughters
That tears have raised
What unlearned lessons
Should the foolish tongue unleash
Deep in the soils of conflicts
Lay the ashes of resolutions
The blood of generations
Have made fertile free land
Where my home sits strong
And in days of remembrance
I search for hope
Any means to an end
That repeats without caution
Shows no honor to bravery
Our futures are unpaid debts
That borrow to no end
From the loss of hope
To say thank you to sacrifice
Without the promise of peace
Delivers no comfort to the brave
It’s raining on just me
Umbrella you were supposed to protect me
Now it’s just raining under you
Oh no one else feels the storm
It’s pouring down my face
Wind blows but I grip on tight to your handle
Wishing that this rain goes away
I don’t understand
I don’t know why I don’t let go
Maybe I fear change
Maybe I fear the sun
The warmth of happiness would be something new
I’m used to the umbrella
I’m used to the dark
My disappointment
My failures and my loss of hope
I’m used to feeling like nothing to the world
I’m used to feeling like I’m not seen through the pouring rain
I’d like to think my umbrella failed me
But really it was just me
