The Snake Pit, The Bee Hive, and The Lions' Den

Watch your step, so you don't end up here
Where people like you simply disappear
To be devoured like prey, they're on the hunt
Looking for their next victim for them to stunt

Beware of the snake pit, the ones who take
The ones who would drown you in a lake
Of their own selfish needs and desires
With a tongue forked in two, the best of liars

Don't shake the bee hive, you'll anger the queen
All of her minions buzz around free
Selecting their next target to sting
It could be you next, their reasoning is obscene

Careful of the lions' den, looking for a meal
They look mighty noble, but all they do is steal
With brute force they pounce on their target
The language of violence is the only one they get

So sharpen your knives, and ready your mind
You don't want to find yourself in their bind
They fill up this world, on every corner you see
Is a place where one of these three could be

Awakening In the Lions Den

-Awakening In The Lions Den-

Sinking fangs into the flesh of mortality and being reborn without limitation.

Limitless precedence. Cultivated in the shadows like a noose in a wardrobe.

The lions out at play, whilst the queen tries to demoralize liberty.

The altar of loops in the midst of reincarnation. Reach for the stars, find only melancholy.

Gaze upon the winds of time and listen to the siren’s lustrous radiance.

Men can be driven mad and fall ill to the depths after going overboard. Never to return to their purity, soon to be forgotten.

Take heed, for the days grow longer and the nights never end.

Purgatory, the treasure trove of any broken man’s inheritance.

The decadent crown remains so, drifting through the river of Styx.

Daniel, a man who loved to pray
despite the law to worship Darius as King
would not be moved from His sovereign
faithful He was standing on to bring

Three times every day Daniel prayed
giving thanks to God for HIs goodness
this news was told to the King
forcing the Kings' hand ultimately to press

The King was much distressed concerning Daniel
He sought to rescue him but had to act by law
so the King spoke, Daniel may your God deliver you
then went to His palace fasting, no sleep he saw

Early the next day the King went to see
crying to Daniel has God delivered you?
Daniel spoke of God's angel came to help
closed the lion's mouth fast shut so to do

Daniel's God is the living true God
enduring always for never to end
in heaven and earth works wonders and signs
saving Daniel from the plight of the lion's den

( THis is written looking at the plight of Daniel being in the Lion's den, showing his faith in trusting in God through it all.)

I Can Relate To Daniel In the Lions Den

I can relate to Daniel and the lion’s den. That’s the name my mom named me when I was born with sin. My mom named me that name in the Bible. She saw that it came from God’s word which is reliable. Daniel is very humble. He reminds me of me even when I stumble. He has dreams and visions. Life for Daniel those times were many thoughtful decisions. Daniel has a big heart of joy. My heart is so big that it can fill poor kids with so many toys. Daniel stood up for what he believed. I also put all my burdens towards God and now I am relieved. God talks through me through Daniel. I remembered when a child of God told me to read the book of Emanuel. For me I locked up all my sins in the Lion den.Coming to our lord and savior Jesus Christ is a win win. I am a true Child of our lord. Until that day comes I will meet Daniel up in Heaven’s core.

Into the Lions' Den

A visitor to the Bronx Zoo
Did something she wanted to do,
Which was climb in the space
Where the lions do pace –
Why she did so I haven’t a clue.

One lion got up and he stared;
For a visit, he wasn’t prepared.
The woman then danced
While the lion advanced
Just a bit, but she didn’t look scared.

The incident, drawing much flack,
Didn’t end in a lion attack,
For this visiting meat
In the end, did retreat,
Thus depriving the cat of a snack.

All was naturally filmed on a phone
And the footage to all has been shown.
Still, her hopping the fence,
Though with no consequence,
Is an act that the zoo can’t condone.

The Lions Den

Hate is such a strong word
Much mental anguish will be incurred
Maintaining this painful thought
Is a long way from hitting the jackpot
This place which I spend most of the day
Makes me want to breakaway
Leave this mundane office with no daylight
Escape from the hustle of the bull fight
A place where silence is king
My stress will release like a coil spring
A few moments of empty brain space
Will give me a chance to try and erase
The misery of the place I call work
I will be standing there with a smirk
Watching the next poor crew of work men
Walking into the lion’s den

The Lions Den

Walk of the ages step by step down pavement and dirt bare feet and linen, bark with the weight on shoulders king of king of all fiery eyes that knows thy enemy that laughs at the face of danger at first and last glance the prey that don't stand a chance of survival as he suffocates the opposition one by one

To govern at large, with depth and reason
King Darius ruler of the kingdom
Presidents for a land of size
The king thought Daniel to be wise

Princes appointed honourably
Filled with growing jealousy
Daniel served so faithfully
Others watched him carefully

Faultless find, a call to stay
Devotion daily, time to pray
A plot to have him done away
Of treatment in a wicked way

A king with pride deep at the core
Presidents helped to plan the law
For no requests of thirty days
Carried forth, unrighteous ways

Such flattery, from trusted men
From Daniel’s prayer – into the den
A law in place could not be changed
A callous plan they did arrange

Into the pit, sat unreleased
Sealed mouths of savage beasts
For God knew they were guilty
Daniel saved and rendered free

Injustice that was ensuing
The truthful case of wrong-doing
Into the pit, the men of wrong
For there the righteous don’t belong

He roars from the distance, instilling in everyone, terror and fear
Approaching stealthily, though unseen, somehow you sense he's near.
Then, in an incomprehensible instant of time, before you can react
The lion lunges at you, the unwary prey, in an outrageous attack.

The roar is intentional, skillfully utilized, to inspire fear, to paralyze
Shaking, quaking, fearing imminent death, the hopeless ones realize
The time has come, ready or not, for their premature earthly demise
Perhaps unaware, that God has prepared for all, an earthly paradise.

The lion is a beast, an enraged animal, with an insatiable appetite
Targeting humanity, especially the innocent, inexperienced in the fight
Hatred and extremism, promulgated by evil men, wicked schemes roar
Propaganda machine running full steam operators tabulating the score.

Wicked people brutalizing others, committing atrocities are inhumane
Deceived human agents of a malevolent unseen lion who's gone insane
This diabolical lion, is on the prowl, ever watchful, seeking to devour prey
Righteous humans will survive unharmed, if they humbly seek God and pray.

Daniel In the Lions Den

Daniel In the Lion’s Den

Daniel was one of three administrators
Who ruled over 120 satraps
Appointed by King Darius
Who agreed to important edicts
One of these edicts
Was a public decree
That no worship was possible
Unless to Darius on bended knee

So when Daniel was found
To pray three times per day
To his God in heaven
As a crime was portrayed
So reluctantly King Darius
Ordered Daniel to the lions’ den
But God sent an angel
To close the lions’ mouths again and again.

At the first light of dawn
The King called to Daniel in anguish
For he hadn’t slept all night
He feared that Daniel would perish
But when Daniel told him
“Not one lion has harmed me”
The King was overjoyed that Daniel’s God
Preserved Daniel to be set free.

Those who had falsely accused Daniel
Were thrown to the lions instead
The king and his subjects were ordered to worship
Daniel’s God as their head
What a mighty witness
To a pagan king
Daniel trusted his God
Through this trial he'd bring.
