the big con

The Con

There is a whisper in the town's square
It is him, yes, it is him
They looked at the youngish man and asked
Are you him?
Yes, he said, I'm here to save you from liberalism
make a sharp right turn, pay less taxes
Social security is not needed in a modern state
Everyone looks after themselves
A genie  was born
Banks lent him money and saw to it that he could
not fail even when his view of finance was banal
He is a thundering success, richer than smaller states
People are questioning him about the meaning
of life, and he has a meaning for everything
Some people are suspicious, ask if this is
the world's biggest scam? Only time will tell
In the meantime, something has to break

Premium Member In the gardens of shadows, where resentments bloom like poppies

In the gardens of shadows, where resentments bloom like poppies,
Politics becomes an art of illusions, a theater of masks.
The despotism of the masses dances on the invisible strings of time,
And conservatism and liberalism are just faded echoes.
Partisans pour their blame like a river of ink on dry paper,
Blaming the victorious shadows that float like clouds of smoke.
But the true sculptors of these idols are the ravenous masses,
Who build their leaders from the illusory clay of desires.
In democracy, where ignorance triumphs like a soundless orchestra,
Hysteria becomes the queen of the silent ball, dancing to the rhythm of madness.
The siren songs of the past are just forgotten whispers,
In a world where the light of truth is a trembling flame.
Paradox floats like an eagle in the sky of sleeping consciousness,
And the melancholic magic of time erases the boundaries of reality.
In this labyrinth of the mind, we find fragments of eternity,
Lost in the hourglass of the world, like sand silently flowing.

Whenever Beliefs

Whenever beliefs are placed
above any worthless things
they affirm the essence of true ideals,
that sparked visions in people's minds.

Hold on those beliefs and assert feelings,
if brave men stand by them and resist
the menacing shouts of despairing ideas;
in such a brutal way: shouldn't we react?

Beliefs can express liberalism or conservatism,
they both define a character ready comfirm it
in deeds that opponents them infused with alruism;
do you divulge them with brashness or intellect?

Some wealthy men gave everything to the needy and hopeless,.
they lived a humble life renouncing to all comforting luxuries;
who comes to mind if notTostoi who saw many human miseries?
His beilef reiforced the existance of faith in acts of kindness.

Premium Member I Am An Old-Line Liberal

I am an old-line Liberal and proud of it, too
Though we are told liberalism is a dirty word,
Most Americans stand with me in the queue.

We liberals are willing to stand and be heard,
Always seeking what’s best for the majority
Though we are told liberalism is a dirty word.

Believing equal rights a Constitutional priority
All people should have the same opportunity,
Always seeking what’s best for the majority.

We stand for every citizen’s right to security
Equal pay for equal work; good medical care,
All people should have the same opportunity.

Our agenda demands clean water and pure air
Taking care of natural resources by regulation
Equal pay for equal work; good medical care!

Every child deserves a home, food, education
I am an old-line Liberal and proud of it, too
Taking care of natural resources by regulation
Most Americans stand with me in the queue.

Meaning of Favour

Trying to tell meaning of favour is just like giving sweets.
honestly favours acts like Mariners stop a sinking ship.
always served with liberalism favours are like cake.
never ever can't be forgotten favours are something like that.
kindness and compassion merges and creates favours.
Yeah, I agree favours are delicious flavors.
one favour can be remember always,
Unity ( many favours) are combined and stays forever.
silence can overcome violence ..
in same way favours creates more respect.
rightly said ,favours are always sweet as eclairs.

Liberalism

innocent persons have liberal perspective..
due to sweet nature they are more interactive.
a lot of kindness they share..
liberal and geniune persons are so rare.
smile is just their positive trait.
they solves every issue either zig zag or straight.
they actually are made up of compassion and care.
sometimes they often bear things which are unfair.
they actually wants to end the dispute .
who is right , who is wrong they never argue.
every stress they hides in a single smile.
this is all about their liberal profile.
but the coin always have two sides.
if liberal person got angry than they just started to avoid.
though they never becomes angry soon.
their anger is actually very rare.
but if anyone invites their anger .
from that day for them that person become stranger.
liberal persons hurt themselves more instead of others.
their liberlism shines everywhere..
they are synonym of respect and care.

The Big World

The big world

The world is bigger than what you think Betty
It consists of several continents and countries
And much more than Brexit and USA, not that
You would think when reading the newspapers.
“go west, young man”, as it was said one time
No more look towards Asia that is where
The future happens, Europe has become old
And decrepit and seduced by the consumerism
And American type democracy, which means
The wealthy has power and the poor destitute,
This is the misunderstood belief the liberalism
Could solve the problems that beset us.
And as for the USA once a proud nation is falling
Into dishonest pride and corruption.
So, Betty look towards the far east that is where

Premium Member Liberal Love's Failure

One answer to Patrick Deneen's question,
Why Liberalism Failed,
not necessarily opposed to Deneen's own
more LeftBrain position,
yet considerably shorter,
is:

Profoundly democratic liberalism,
like Christianity,
has failed because it has not been multiculturally tried,
to paraphrase anti-colonizing
and non-violent communicating
Mahatma Gandhi.

Strangely,
this may also be a kind of corollary
to respond to a different title,
How the West was Won,
which would thereby postulate
How the West was Lost
by Win/Lose capitalist pretensions
to overpower Win/Win resilient integrity.

Follow the Rule

Follow the rules

The old man sat in his high walled garden
he had been a traitor to his country not
a stern quisling but enough to be shunned
by the people of this town who had hailed
him a great writer.
His exile was self- enacted he still believed
he was correct his right winged policies
essential for his countries future, but he had
no one’s ear, so he wrote about the seasons
his garden was big and fauns danced
at twilight.
He heard the radio Europe was changing
people were tired of predictable democracy
liberalism, vapid as morning mist, leaders
were far removed from the people, freedom
had become borderless tyranny a dyke that
could not stop the flood of hatred of those
who were made to follow the rules?
Perhaps his time had come the people would
listen to him now.

Still a Mystery

Still A Mystery
I have not arrived
No one has returned
Faith and Heaven are choices
More real than abortions
I humbly admit, worm and sinner I am,
My repentance is not once, long ago ...
I have met Him in the Scriptures
And His Spirit of Holiness
That keeps me from Darwinism
Keeps me from Liberalism
Which is mere “feel-goodism”
Like an onion, odorous without core

Converted Wife

"Where from this?",
Laughter mingled with pity,
She was dressed with pretty,
Lipstick applied fervently to a mouth;
Red mouth matching a wild attire,
Her walking shook the whole land,
Eyes and mouths were timed as spam,
She was in a blinking eyeglass,
But knew she was drawing side mass,
Inextricably I will say,"she's good looking",
The hem of her dress was raised slightly when the wind blew,
What was spotted deserves self speculation,
Lips were licked,...body was stimulated after sensation,
From one corner came a scream,
"...thief,...thief...she is a hardened criminal",
Who will speak on her behalf to obtain freedom?
Nothing spared her the chance of doubt,
The pain that was vested into her that day was nominal,
Convinced by her deceptive glib of professionalism,
"I'm an investor",she always say,
With all my heart,I love her liberalism,
After several years of being a prison mate,
Her life is now channeled to spiritualism,
Great time in new testament holding grace!

Oh Mr Activist

You talk of neo- liberalism
And progressive politics
They say Im left of centre
Like a sort of wonky shelf

Please oh Mr Activist , the Newspeak you can keep.
What we need more of, is a lot more Common sense

Terrorists aint freedom fighters
And what the hell is Daesh
Just a bunch of Idiots
Who’s imaginary friend as sent them ape

Please oh Mr Activist , the Newspeak you can keep.
What we need more of, is a lot more Common sense

As carbon really got a foot print
And diversity not a dance group on a show
And a honest conversation
Thats not telling someone they are as ugly as their mum

Please oh Mr Activist , the Newspeak you can keep
What we need more of, is a lot more Common sense

The voters will stop listening
And turn on their television sets
And start voting for a dancing dog
On X factor instead.

for any readers abroad diversity the name of a dance group on a uk talent show .

Most Terrible Time of the Year

It's the most terrible time of the year
With back benchers rebelling
The cabinet yelling cause Brexit is here
It's the most terrible time of the year

It's the crap-crappiest season of all
With those new trade deal meetings and racist gay beatings
and the pound starts to fall
It's the crap-crappiest season of all

There'll be Farage there gloating
As Trump starts gun toting
And immigrants out in the snow
There'll be biased news stories
Masterminded by Tories of the
strength of England long ago

It's a most threatening time full of fear
With half of Syria burning
It is getting concerning
That war could be near
It's the most threatening time filled with fear

There'll be governments falling
And Putin there calling
For marshal law out in the east
There'll be lots of land grabbing
And mucho back stabbing as
Liberalism lies there deceased

It's the most miserable time of the year
As the death toll starts growing
And cities are glowing
And apocalypse near
It's the most terrible time
Yes the most horrible time
Oh the most frightening time
Of the year....
