Premium MemberTwo legged Toxins

When they become a toxin in your mind
when they steal, lie and threaten your life
even if their blood it's time to cut ALL ties.
Your heart was not meant to be used as a spittoon
your mind was not meant to be used as a trampoline
for their a flimsy-half assed sobriety.
Walk away, cut them loose before they spit and cut on you.
Your life is a precious gem to be treated with respect
Two-legged toxins dullen luster and fang the pulse from the neck.

Premium MemberThe three legged cat

Rescue haven, a stray little cat
front leg mangled, fur all matt.
No fluffy toy, this poor wee mite
eyes full of trust, denying his plight.

Minus his leg, fur closely shorn,
cuddled in blanket, cosy and warm.
Petted, pampered, he thrived and grew
soft velvet fur. A Russian Blue.

He rules the roost, this regal cat,
his lair… my bed, kingdom my flat.
Beautiful beast so much adored,
faith in this world, renewed, restored.

Fills up my life with sparkle bright,
just being near holds true delight.
My shadow now this ball of fluff,
his trusting eyes, reward enough.

Premium MemberMy Life is a Three-Legged Stool

My life is a three-legged stool:
family; job; and poetry.
With only two, my life’s not full,
my life is a three-legged stool.
To keep me standing one cannot be pulled;
what makes me me is to have all three.
My life is a three-legged stool:
family; job; and poetry.

My life is a three-legged stool,
with only two, my life’s not full.
To keep me standing one cannot be pulled;
what makes me me is to have all three:
family; job; and poetry
and, the three-legged stool I’ll always be.

Premium MemberJeff The Three-Legged Worm

Jeff the three-legged worm
they weren’t his legs
but legs that he’d found
from old bits of twig
just scattered around
he once saw a centipede
who laughed and made fun
of a young and shy Jeff
stuck on his tum
but Jeff swam through soil
and the centipede saw
staring in wonder
amazement and awe
the twig legs put by now
but kept just in case
although Jeff seems ok
from the beam on his face

Premium Membercross legged mega creature

Cross legged mega creature had ears that were diverse
One was patterned like a pheasant, the other one was worse
Enormous polka dots decorated it and his nose was weird.
I think it is a collie’s nose, and he does have a slight beard.

Mega creature had people hands which was strange I think
For a monster whose legs were decidedly striped yellow and pink.
They are elf legs too, someone stated with absolute conviction.
The rest of the tale is something that caused us a lot of confliction.

Three Legged Table

Above the polished face of the petite gueridon
A crystal chandelier sparkles in dreamy hues
As one candlestick flickers in perfume,
One red rose dreams of minuets,
Upheld by gilded caryatides of innocence,
Draped maidens and daughters of Athens,
In salons where graceful reveries
Twirl in graceful circles
Around the teapoy’s edge.

Unmasked rhapsodies
Shimmer with the indelible mystery
Of one fleeting ambrosia midnight,
Glowing in an amber flush of reflection
With bittersweet rondos,
Immanent in lacy silhouettes
Of dulcet invitation,
To swell in crescendos of shadows,
Dancing butterflies mirrored in the table’s face.

Premium MemberThree Legged Table

Wedding gift to me from my grandpa,
was antique with an obvious flaw,
a three legged table made of oak,
made for him special and was bespoke.

It was designed to be by fireside,
was eight inches by eight inches wide,
just about two and a half feet high,
to keep him in winter warm and dry.

polished in dark varnish to high gloss,
etched in ivory he did emboss,
the names from our whole family tree…
somewhere on one of the legs was me.

Said to me as only grandpa’s do,
with tears on smiles, his face split in two,
leave you this to remember me by,
not let past love and memory die.

with pride we placed it by our fireside,
wife and I would spend time sat beside,
that three legged piece of grand old oak,
warmth of generations would evoke.

three legged table
do not partake of liquor
nor strong pungent drinks

like in a western
 bar fight busting tables chairs
 fly soars broken to

onto floor broken
cowboys yippee-kila-yay
under bust fighting

like in a western
 broken up three leg table
one legged BROKEN

Three Legged Table

Be like the tree, change your leaves and keep your roots... Change your ideas and keep your principles!”
Tibetan proverb

So sturdy and steady, the teapoy stands
I ask, how do you live with no demands?
I am grounded like a tree with strong roots,
three legs are the Trinity my life persuits.
first leg is 'Work', to be done to it's best
with honest labour, hours toiled in quest.
second leg is 'Love' for all dear relations
with faith and hope, less of expectations.
third leg is 'Self-Care', body, mind, soul,
no worries for problems beyond control.
On my round table top, all flux and flow...
candle dripping wax, swathing warm glow.
enduring all, stands the three legged table.
poised to the ground , balanced and stable.

Three Legged Table

I am three legged,
I am balanced,
It’s a mystery,
I sit in a dim-lit room.

I bear the sage's books,
Where he scripts his thoughts,
The monsters that stare through his window,
The gloom that pervades the meadow.

I am three legged,
The unseen pivots me,
The unknown trestles me,
I'm in a library of the deep.

I am a door into the day,
Prop and support along the way,
The sage takes off on my plane,
Nightfall embraces me.

Premium MemberThe Three-Legged Table

Inside our living room, there stood a table.
Three legs it had; its round top was unique.
Mom kept it in the corner, and she’d say
so proudly that the table was antique.

Well polished, it had a vase atop it,
and flawless was its base, legs widely splayed.
One day, with Mom away, we moved it to
another room. A few games we then played.

Our chairs fit well round that three-legged table
as we played our Yahtzee and Crazy Eights.
A lovely afternoon we spent, just I
with two of my dear sisters as my mates.

One sister (I can’t recall which one now)
brought drinks to us, and just as Mom walked in,
I spilled my drink! Mom became hysteric
as if I had committed some great sin!

She yanked us off our chairs and quickly wiped
the spillage – yelling at us the whole time.
The table got put back into its corner,
and we were punished for our little crime.

The vase was put back on the table’s top,
and we three got no soup that night to sup.
Mom’s in a nursing home now; we’ve all grown.
I wonder where that table ended up!

I placed my glass down on the table
next to the leg, curiously laid
upon its heavy, wine-stained surface.
A perfectly fine leg, I noted;
unbolted, removed with some intent.

My host viewed my curiosity
with a casual indifference;
waiting so painfully patiently;
a child, bursting with a sworn secret.

As the evening took its course, more wine
long, dry, wearying conversation,
side-stepping the leg, on the table,
a sly, knowing smirk tainted his face,
an air of superiority.

I became a fly caught in his web
missing the clever trap he had laid.

The professor, much later replaced
the fourth leg of the coffee table.
The several fine Kafka volumes,
earlier, supporting the table,
then restored to their place on the shelf.

Unity of the Trinity in Christianity
The Triune Allah-Jesus-Mary concept of Islam
The Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva... one with the humanity
All amalgamate into sole wholeness and grand great charm...

Inner ethical fiber as a solid foundation
Extended rhythmic reality bonds with each being.
Incorporation, like butter with bread, truth collation
Accomplished with the self of one and the other freeing...

Physico-psychic-spiritual warmth, like gems, adorned
Socio-poltico-economic rules, like galaxies, set
Philosophic-theosophic-historic thoughts thronged
Inner equilibrium eases each and every threat...

The three-legged table, thus, does many meanings disburse.
This, in its integral form, is a unique universe...

The three-legged table ordained
Its four-legged buddy- hair-brained!
A dumb square was he-
Paired down to just three
Not knowing that four was ingrained.

A three-legged table is round;
On only three legs, it is sound.
A square one needs four.
With three, it's done for;
Will wobble until it is downed!

The three-legged table grew sad;
Four-legged- now only three had.
Six legs were just fine-
They chose to combine!
Odd-shaped- firmly fixed, both are glad!
