Extra-Curricular

Tae Kwon Do, gymnastics,
Swimming, piano and ballet,
Music, baseball, fencing,
An activity a day.

Such a far cry from my youth -
If mem'ry is my guide,
When school was done, we had a snack
And met our friends outside.

On skates or bikes we got around;
With jump ropes, balls or chalk,
We entertained ourselves with no one
Watching like a hawk.

That freedom now does not exist
In suburbs or the city
And looking back, I have to say
It really is a pity.

Belts

A belt keeps pants from falling down
Or gives the loops employment.
A song that’s belted out may give
The audience enjoyment.

A belt of Scotch may calm the nerves
But there is no denyin’
The brightest belt is in the sky
On he who hunts, Orion.

One belt can lay a boxer flat
And factory surveyors
Keep track of goods that travel
On the belts we call conveyors.

What prompted this was Henry,*
Such a proud, excited fellow
Who just passed his test in Tae Kwon Do
And earned his belt of yellow!

*my 4 ½ year old grandson

Premium Member Sexy Sexy

SEXY SEXY IS A PLAYFUL FLIRT,
HIGH HEEL BOOTS AND LITTLE SKIRT.
SEXY LOVES TO CHASE THE BOYS AROUND.
LIKES TO PICK'EM UP AND PUT THEM DOWN.
ONE FIFTEEN AND FIVE FOOT FOUR
SHE'S THE HOTTEST GIRL OUT ON THE FLOOR.
LOCAL BOYS JUST SIT AND STARE
AS SHE FLASH HER LITTLE UNDERWEAR.
AND JUST WHEN BOYS THINK THEY'LL SCORE,
SHELL TOSS THEM HEAD FIRST THROUGH THE DOOR.
HEAD FIRST, HEAD FIRST I WILL ATTEST
SHE LOVES TO TOSS THEM HEAD FIRST BEST.
JUST IN CASE YOU DID NOT KNOW,
SEXY IS MASTER OF TAE KWON DO

Vessel

A baby is a vessel
And each caretaker proceeds
To slowly fill him up with what
That person thinks he needs.

So while some will teach him numbers,
Colors and the ABC’s,
Others may tap into music
Or identifying trees.

There’ll be teachers for the extras –
Tennis, swimming, Tae Kwon Do
And instructors in the schools
Dispensing what he needs to know.

But the ones who are the closest
Fill that vessel with what counts
And the lessons that are learned,
Of course, in varying amounts

Are the values that will be absorbed
For perpetuity
As each drip into that vessel
Forms the person he will be.

Today

The wind is flowing.
The wind flows like a ball.
Let's call it a festival today.
In my hands or in a safe like a pocket
Silver medals must be replaced with gold medals.
Moment to turn the gold medal into a gold medal
The sky is greener and the stars in the night sky are brighter
In the front yard of John Keats's house in hamstead I went to
Beautiful flowers bloom.

The poet's lover will dance together and watch the stars in the night sky
Today we go to Jongno.
Go to Insadong
Seeing beautiful Gram and seeing pictures of abstraction
Also see the works of Kwon Hyun Ki, a pioneer of Korean video art.
In a beautiful classic museum with its time
Spend time listening to good works at the National Museum
And in the afternoon, we should continue to work on making silver gold.
Now you must wake up in the morning and look out.

The Ballad of Rithee Rithwando

Oh, I'm Rithee Rithwando
And I live in a condo
On a beach called Redondo
With a girl who's bleach blondo.

And we practice Tae Kwon Do
As we're singing in Rondo
With Don Hector Elizondo
Whom we're very, very fondo.

And he once asked me, "Cuando
"Can you post bail bondo,
"For I'm stuck in Orlondo
"And I cannot abscondo."

"When you give me your Hondo
"Whose top speed is beyondo,"
So sez I to Hectorondo
From the sands of blue Redondo.

"Oye! Not for il mondo
"Or el mejor magic wando
"Would I give you my Hondo,"
Replied Mister Elizondo.

"See you next year," I told him.

Faith Move's Mountain

Falling does not mean you failed
Accept failure and do wonders out of it
Innovation is enhance by failure
Time spent idling gives way to failure
Heed the adage“no pain no gain”

Mental strength is a key to unlock potential
Open-minded is a shield to defense mechanism
Victory is within reach to those believing in themselves
Ecstasy they get from taking one step forward and-
Steadily moving towards realization of their mission

Meditating about your mission’s outcome is essential
Onward is the only direction kwon to fighters
Unfetter yourself from the fear of failure
Nurture your abilities and don’t learn upon your understanding only
Turn to God for support and guidance
Ambitions are futile when God is not part of them
Imagine yourself leaving your dream now
Never ever doubt your capabilities
See beyond your reaches and believe

Ballet

Bored at school
I decided to play the fool
By doing a little dancing for my friends.
A mixture of ballet
taught by my sister Sally
and a little bit of tae kwon do.
My teacher walked in
and with a knowing grin
made me promise to repeat it for the Christmas show.

Dressed in my tutu
Fishnet stockings and a boob tube
Little Daz was ready for the stage
''I love to boogie '' was the tune
and I found very soon
My pirouettes were all the rage.
I heard the howls of laughter
The applause that came soon after
and knew my little dance had been a hit
I would repeat the dance for you
like good friends ought to do
but I'm afraid I can't just find a tutu to fit.

Yoda clever was right on cue
And Obie did swell tae kwon do
But one day unique
In star wars double speak
Must be "May the 4th" be with you

Premium Member Brain Dead

He had earned a black belt in tae kwon do

Breaking slabs of concrete with his big toe

And butting planks with his head

Had left him nearly brain dead

Glazed eyes resulted from many a blow

Karate Terror

Tae Kwon Do Promotion tests,
And several schools did meet
To take our tests for promotion,
When I first met killer feet

We all sat on the Do-Jo floor'
Awaiting each our turn,
But there was one karate warrior
His feet could kill us all
How he ever showed up,
I'll never figure out such gall

His power wasn't a punch,
Nor a deadly kick to head,
His power was in the stench,
Of his feet instead....

I kid you not,
Smelt like he wore plastic shoes,
and never washed his feet,
Oh, the Tae Kwon Do blues!!
It was hard to keep one's seat

It was hard to remain in the do-jo
I wish we had some air,
While Stench-foot killer student,
Sat totally unaware....

The odor was overpowering,
We gagged, we coughed,
We choked,
As stench foot sat there,
His foot he gently stroked....

He was by far the scariest student,
Even sitting there,
The odoriferous attack in
The surrounding air....

So if you join that do-jo,
Bring a nose clip too,
Before the stench of feet,
Gets the best of you!
