We are not alone

19 July 2024 11:17 AM

We are not alone you are always here
Living in us, we are your temple so dear

You lived as us in a mortal shell
A life, an example your gospel to tell

Loving and healing, providing
our souls feeding

Teaching and preparing your temple to indwell
No darkness or sin, to temptation you never fell

Oh mighty Yeshua! The Word made flesh
The Son of God our King of Rightiousness!

You were and are and forever will be
The ruler of all God of majesty

Come dwell in us make us temples in Gods house
Bring light to our dark places fill us with your love so rightouse

A well spring of living water to flow from our hearts
To quench the lost in sins desert of their everlasting thirst

We surrendar our lives our spirit and soul
To you our King it is You we want to know

Oh mighty Yeshua! The Word made flesh
The Son of God our King of Rightiousness!

You were and are and forever will be
The ruler of all God of majesty

The Spirit

Where does it come from, this chill that I’m feeling.
This breeze that cuts right through me.
I neither see it, or know where it’s coming from.
I wrap my coat closer around me, but sill the cold
Envelopes my very being.
The wind moves me, and often pushes me in a direction,
Reminding me of the spirit.
The one Jesus sent to indwell in His followers, when he ascended into heaven.
So long ago.
Like the wind, I feel it, but I can’t see it.
The spirit moves within my breast and often directs me.
Pushing me in one direction or another, to do the will of the Father.
I am so thankful to belong to the holy one.
To be unified, in body and spirit in this present life,
With the assurance that one day I will reside with the King of Host.
At that time, I will have my answers.
No longer will I wonder where the breeze is coming from.
For I will be home.

Premium Member The Joy of Gratitude

O for the heart of a young child,
Like gentle Jesus meek and mild.
Who daily lifts their mother’s heart,
with thankful words which joy imparts.

As earthly parents long to hear,
the grateful words their children share.
So, God our Father’s heart is pleased,
when by gratitude our hearts are seized.

Take time to pause and celebrate,
Let praise and thanks your heart indwell.
For life, good health, and daily bread,
make sure your prayers of praise are said.

Your Father all your needs supply,
Give thanks and praises in reply.
This attitude will lift your mood,
and nourish health as much as food.

A grateful heart is medicine,
for feelings of despair and dread.
When prayers of thanks and praise are said,
the heart is filled with joy instead.

An attitude of gratitude,
Is not a pretty platitude.
If you make these four words your creed,
a life of peace and joy you’ll lead.

Premium Member Stoop To Conquer

Why do we rebel
when bliss beats propel
our soul?
Know God does indwell
each and every cell.
Our role
is just to dispel,
dark fears that repel;
love troll.

We cannot control,
bliss scriptures extol.
To rise,
peep through love’s keyhole;
there’s then no loophole,
monk wise!
Love does love cajole
to here now unroll,
heart’s prize.

Heed not ego’s cries
as they so apprise
and scroll
soul’s light that then dies,
misled by fear’s lies;
sinkhole.
Before love’s ink dries,
welcoming surprise,
be whole.

Let Christ’s peace rule in your heart
if indeed, ’tis His you art.
Let His word richly indwell;
thankfulness will serve you well.
You’ve been set free, so now live
always ready to forgive.
Lift your voice in hymns and psalms;
seek the One life’s storms can calm.
All you do, do in His name;
as a candle is to flame,
die to self to share His light,
decrease that He might shine bright.
Blessings, brothers, this Lord’s day;
bless, be blessed, I humbly pray.

Daniel Henderson My Newest Lion-Tamer

I
Today, three years too late - almost - I read a short, insightful article by Daniel Henderson ("Holy Spirit ... Come? Or Control?" 2019(c) Daniel Henderson). I am so thrilled. I have good help in explaining New Testament theology.

II
Thank you Daniel come again
Yes. For me: Daniel has come again
To tame the lions of charismatic over-reach
Such because weak or new believers
Feel less, unless -
They join a bandwagon: "More, Spirit, more!"
Bandwagon Balderdash?
I said it, as a Poet, I wrote it
Last month already: "Jesus's best deposit" -
Holy spirit comes to indwell all as an escrow
Guarantee that Jesus claims us,
He will only leave if we leave LORD JESUS
No need to run all over, looking for more of the Most
Gentle, the Most
Holy Spirit
Of God
Also known as, GODS SPIRIT OF HOLINESS

III (Daniel HENDERSON explained):
" ...like other common elements of Christian vernacular, it [asking Spirit to come] is nit in the Bible. Nir is it a prayer consistent with the new covenant secured for us by the precious blood of Christ."

Premium Member The Awareness

Stars are crammed into the cosmos.
Sought and chosen as my name rose.
Each evil and skinned modesty,
In need times, I was prone to praise.

Since my house is calm and lonely.
Angels poised the wide Gate Glory.
Sometimes horrible things happen.
My name is stated, I'm in glee.

This mundane world isn't my heaven.
In high skies, near to grace fountain.
A deep sorrow soon brings to light.
The eyelids shine as tears flow down.

A soul that could be tamed by might.
And greet All with hugs and delight.
Sorrow moves in the strained shadow.
I need peace to soothe my insight.

I'm curled on a scented pillow.
I'm anxious, when or not; I'll go.
Sad loss to a cherished farewell.
I gave up and sighed with sorrow.

Perhaps in the darkness of hell.
Slight echo may be felt indwell.
The same sleep took me anyplace.
I am free of dread and befell.

Premium Member Comfort In Affliction - Psalm 119: 49-56

Lord brings to your mind thy word
please reveal it for my edification
for receiving your word is a blessed thing
such a delight enhances my education

Feelings come down to indwell me
from heaven above to bring comfort
to deal with my affliction so real
giving hope to take away the hurt

Constantly the insolent mock me
but I stand firm steadfast on your law
O Lord in you alone is my comfort
for considering all scripture has no flaw

Considering the ways of the wicked
that constantly your law they do forsake
such foolishness is hard to comprehend
sojourn long in song never to break

Even in the darkness of night
your name I've kept your word is true
God's blessing has fallen upon me
to His precepts, I have said I do

(This is my " Psalm 119 project" which I began to write a couple of years ago, so this is the seventh poem of twenty-two poems I've written over that time to cover all of Psalm 119)

Premium Member Being Accepted As I Am

Having lived my own life
lessons you learn through time
ones that count for life
to forget would be a crime

Stammered every day since birth
enduring it all incredibly tough
but better things around my corner
believing it could be enough

One day God broke through
revealing His love in His blessed son
who had died for all my sins
to indwell me shows salvation's done

This God assured me of one thing
He accepted me just as I am
nothing I bring just to Jesus cling
this truth eternally brings me calm

(I have written this to pass on the main life lesson I've learned throughout my life that this has kept me calm and how to live in the forward direction.)

God Commanded the Light To Shine 2

For God commanded the light to shine;
out of earth’s darkness, the light obeyed.
The first Christmas, he sent His Son as Light
to this world. God’s glory thru Jesus came down.

This Light of the World now has ascended
back to the Father from which He came.
But His Spirit, His Light, he left with us
to indwell those who have seen his truth.

We house this treasured spirit deep within
a body easily broken and cheap,
in jars of clay, so all who see understand
it’s God alone who has creation power.

He keeps us from being struck down, destroyed
before we can complete His charted course.
Like a servant, we are in His employ
once His blessed redemption we accept.

This old body is mortal, it shall die;
but the light of Christ lives within us still.
We'll be raised with Jesus; we keep our eyes
fixed upon Him, letting His light shine though us.

inspired by 2 Corinthians 4:6-15

God Is Ever Near

GOD IS EVER NEAR

Some times the day is dreary,
And you feel all alone and wonder if there’s anyone who cares, oh, yes.
Some times the way gets weary,
And you may feel your load is much more heavy than you want to bear.
But if you just will realize there is a God up in the skies,

	You’ll find that God is ever near to cheer, to comfort and to guide you;
He’s standing there at your heart’s door and asking to come in.
You’ll find that God is ever dear to lead and walk along beside you.
So simply bow your head in prayer and see that God is ever near.

God makes the day seem brighter,
Though there are clouds above, He shows the sunshine through His wondrous love, oh, yes.
God makes the burdens lighter
And He forgives the sin and sends His Spirit to indwell within.
So if you’re lost, just bow in prayer; you’ll find the Saviour’s waiting there.

These words written to “Winter World Of Love.”

To Laura

Mine ne'er to be, yet mine always;
Laura, spirit of dawn. Darkest night
Cannot hide thee nor obscure thy rays.
Though Black Death hath by his temporal right
Claimed thee, dost thou, my love , indwell this heart.
Though Charon's hammer this clay vessel break,
The winds ne 'er scathed by Time's envenomed dart
Shall of its pure content aye possession take
And spread abroad thy fragrance to all Man,
Fill the valleys and linger o'er the seas.
'Tis not my part all future times to scan,
But thankfully to muse by pastures, groves and leas,
Await thy returning, nightly count the hours
"Till I rejoice with singing birds and flowers."

Premium Member Adieu

Oh beautiful friend, where are you?
I need you and you don't have a clue.
Without you I can no longer fly,
come back so I can soar above the sky,
You cause me to dream, now I’m so blue.

But you're gone, what am I supposed to do?
You are the main ingredient of my stew,
And cause sadness to say goodbye
Above all you brought hope.

Oh my imagination, I don't want to bid adieu,
You infuse and indwell only a selected few.
Now that you're gone I just sulk and sigh,
You were soothing, you didn't force nor pry,
Above all you brought hope.

Premium Member Stephen Looked Up and Saw

Stephen was the first Christian martyr
refusing to deny Christ but to stand fast
holding faithfully to God's eternal truth
but his death wouldn't be the believers last

Stephen was full of the holy spirit
obedient as Paul taught the Ephesian church
to be constantly filled with the spirit
having God indwell him knowing his divine touch

Stephen looked up searchingly to heaven
there expectedly wishing for his eyes to see
what in heaven would he feast upon?
knowing that his saviour had died on a tree

Stephen looking ahead saw God's glory
so majestic and glorious leaving one in awe
the human mind can't take all this in
God's awesome glory so pure having no flaw

Stephen saw Jesus the eternal Son
standing truly at God's right hand
the one who had risen from the dead
now there was Christ on heaven's land

(''But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” )
Acts 7: 55,56 (ESV)
