Ignited By Deception

The yellow neon sign casted a glow upon his chiselled cheekbones as the bustling sounds of a city that never slept droned on.

He carried his troubles with him, like a worn out cloak, weighing him down in his every step. His mind was entwined in a thorny thicket.

He has been haunted and bewildered since his introduction to her in a smoky speakeasy.

She was a siren shadow amongst strangers of the night, whispering his name in the breeze, intoxicating his psyche with a tempestuous flame.

She entangled him in a perilous dance, playing a game of chance.

Their encounters were like unbridled wildfires. She captivated him, consuming his soul with her potent allure. He felt engulfed, delicate as a feather in a storm, swept away by her force.

However he was a moth enticed by a relentless flame, she incinerated his dreams and made him feel hopeless. In the end, he succumbed to the hounds of disassociated reality.

His story concluded in tragedy, leaving his loved ones cries to echo through the empty streets of a heartless city.

Oh demon of destroyed destinies,
Unfurl your nightmares
through the furnace of my drowse;
For if fire steps out to rule,
Shall I be on deck,
Ripping closures ablaze,
Sailing towards the wild shore
of those vicious torments,
Where fate pulled her crown tight,
Trading promises with fallacies!

Premium Member A Connection Ignited Gary and Sue

Life is indeed a funny old game
it's pathways and bends go many a way
many crossroads come to our minds
making decisions to go or just to stay

There was a young chap called Gary
decent quiet nice mannered was he
company was hard especially among girls
felt apprehensive among any not at all free

One day he was walking on his own
met a lady much older with her dog
who asked him what was his job
a joiner by trade at night wrote a blog

He did a few jobs for this lady called Sue
putting up some shelves, made a new door
they got to know each other very well
each one having affection all the more

They went out for meals together
many walks together hand in hand
a fire was burning within each other
this relationship, could it truly stand

So Gary and Sue were now an item
though many years divided their range
both didn't care for love connected them
for them, this 'affair' wasn't at all strange

In the midnight hour, Sue saw
a vision in the dark sky above
one word came down, YES
Gary proposed to say You I love

( This is a fictional write where young meets providentially someone older and they click romantically in love)

The lies will burn with every piece of truth
Fueling a fire that is spreading fast by the day
People ignore all that happened years ago
They only listen now, to what the media has to say

Hypocrisy will bring them down, where it is posed
As blatant as it is already, it will only grow
There is only backlash from those who can be exposed
The facts will tell you, all you really need to know

The sad part is, the damage to relation in our lives
But, division was ignited before in the fire that was made
Negativity spreads with flames, where the hatred thrives
There is no-where left to hide from the heat, but the shade

Premium Member She Ignited a Fire

A young lady named Peaches Love-Handles
Made love to a hot burning candle---
   She ignited a fire
   Began to perspire---
What she did after that caused a scandal

As I traveled the lonely miles
I found comfort in some country music
I don’t listen to often
As I passed the lake shimmering in sunlight,
Just beyond the ledge of ice
With a boundary of white snow on the edge,
I realized, no matter what is happening
Things still shine
As I listened to someone offer understanding
For ailments,
I understood how people still care
Then, humor made me laugh in ways I needed to hear
Far beyond the worries of our minds,
There is so much to find
Whether traveling lonely miles
To open our eyes, to believe in the next sight,
The next encounter, the next chance,
Because hope can quickly ignite in so many ways
Sights, words, simple gestures
Weaved into our travels to be found in all days

Ignited Ignored

Ignited Ignored
The ways of man so revolved,
The rate of time sped off,
The realities of life swayed off.

Ignited like a candle yet rejected like a shuttle,
Unattended so idle,
With potential so boundful.

Ignore me now that I am ignited,
Recall me then when I am off,
I might still hope under your shades.
Under your light although I shine,
It's nothing in the eyes of nothing.

Ignited

Roots steadied as bark hugged my foundations,
No thought of criticism’s evil eyes of lust,
My mind and body comforted in adulations,
In humankind and gentle tenors did I trust;
No god to devoid me of light and meaning,
My essence laughed and yet still asked to be expressed,
All my limbs, arms and two legs, juiced in feeling,
And my spirit did not then need to be dressed.
I was respected by my opportunity which alighted,
Into my night, swept up my distance with its heart,
And my new relationships listened and delighted,
In my determined effort, my awkward leap and dart;

I was filled with regality, drenched in truth,
I had felt so parched of water in my youth.

Ignited Wicks of the Romantic Night Sky

Wicks of the romantic night sky,
is brightly ignited by the flame of romance.
Pearl white wax, filled into a antique crystal candle holder.
Set in the middle of a well prepared dinner.
Laid gingerly on a anxious wooden table.
The table overwhelmed by a romantic preparation.

Rose peddles and chocolate sprinkled on the bed.
When the rose peddles touched the bed,
the pillows blush their long eye lashes.
The sheets touched by romance.
I gaze at the time and fade in suspense.

I hear footsteps drawing close.
Keys jingle and tap dance.
As she entered a weight has fallen from me.
When she saw the arrangements she stood
speechless,awestruck.
We held each other nearly .
We held each other dearly.
She enchanted me with her bold
kisses filled with rapture,her
honey filled saliva I capture.

Arousing.
Erotic.
Sensual.
Seductive.
Heated fingertips .
Touching tender skin.
Embrace.
Draw close.
Fondling in ecstasy.

Gingerly guided strokes,
through strands of hair flamed
with romance. Heart beats in sync.
Suggestive eyes connect as I grab
her waist.

Ignited

Heart rate rises.
Body starts tingling,
You took our love,
And ignited the,
Passion and heat,
In our bodies,
The feeling,
Succumbs me,
As our bodies,
Flow like water,
Holding each other,
Close feeling the heat,
Our bodies start trembling,
And the passion overcomes us,
I call out your name,
Once again,
We are ignited!

Ignited (Cameo)

Feelings
Overpower me
As thoughts of you burn freely
Within me
I am warmed by your lovely smile
Fires stoked by your sultry looks
