If I had my hammer the blows truly and swiftly would land.
Bereft of implement overlong and injurious my task.
The deed, parting and depriving me of it, from your need or greed?
Corrugated sheet
Pock marked with hammer craters
Bronzed at the summit
Fangs blackened by a tooth-aching light,
dagger down from clamped
and sunken roofs.
What wreckage there is, is buried
hidden from sight, but it is not
a clean landscape. Not a landscape at all,
but a giant footprint,
more a
reconstruction of destruction.
What was once seen as a town
is gone. Not forever (drama makes
actors of us all), but we talk now
in a past tense language of 'back then'
and not of any postcard view of tomorrow -
not yet.
Insidious is internalized inception
What's real with all these questions?
Feels like I missed my alarm and slept in
Broken legs but I still chase affection
These walls are my blank expression
My mind is the home I'm trapped in
It's lonely inside an unfinished mansion
The sharp truth most people gaslight themselves and don't even realize it...
Have I detached so far from reality that my inner voice doesn't trust me?
Days go by while paralyzed in self-reflection
Empty walls don't reflect growth they echo stagnation...
If my mind is a prison am I both the inmate and the warden?
Isn't an unfinished house just a finished ruin?
Perhaps I should pick up a hammer?
And stop admiring the scaffolding as architecture.
Before every line, I've written is a eulogy for a life never lived...
Forget the cautionary calls for restraint —
this world doesn’t need saviors.
It wants hands that claw at the roots,
Sick fangs that grind old ideas to dust.
Ideas aren’t soft; they’re detonators,
charged and ready to shatter the silence.
You don’t repair a broken machine
by merely shining its rust.
The absence of thinking is a pandemic—
eradicate it like a disease.
Smash apathy with a hammer.
What we create afterward
is in our hands.
Little nose
pressed against the tank window.
A shark is trying to eat it.
The kid does not move.
The shark slams against the glass,
thump, thump, thump,
it keeps thumping harder and harder.
Perhaps the boy is deaf?
I should do something.
I do,
I edge myself away to one side,
then a little further.
Now I'm behind a small crowd of gawkers.
The shark is huge, and it is crashing against
the class trying with all its might to break it.
Sorry to say,
the only thought in my head was:
If the glass breaks now
the kid gets it first.
The hammer of faith
Moves in stillness
An episode of brokenness
Brings forth the potency of faith
Sheltering pain
There is a way to gain
Faith still moves mountains
Faith’s beautiful river is streaming toward your destiny
Faith in Him can deliver the outcome you desire
The fire of faith moves in beauty,
As it burns through anything, therefore,
State the Promise
Live the Promise
Call on the Promise
The pain of faith is real
The seal of victory is eternal
Promises are always
Greater than the pain
In Him, we maintain our Sanity!
God will do everything we can’t do
But nothing that we CAN
Faith still moves mountains
Sheltering frustration and pain
There is a way to gain
Faith still moves mountains because
Faith’s beautiful river is streaming toward your destiny
Hence, The hammer of faith
Moves in stillness
An episode of brokenness
Brings forth the potency of faith

A carpenter for a clean job poised
And for a new ceiling I rejoiced.
Like soldiers' flag he did ceiling hoist,
His eyes of full true confidence moist...
A carpenter who knows a good joist
upon him you can't a bad one foist,
From afar would pick its sad fake smell,
Long before his hammer hits the nail.
The poised I had his price paid fully:
All that he'd asked for brought duly,
Pledge to not kill his time made truly;
Orders for his drinks given coolly.
A paid carpenter, I know, just works,
For if he does not his bottle corks.
Who’s been struck with even little hammer
And his lips failed to curses yammer:
“Son-of-a-” not part of grammar:
For a blow, mortal, control stammer?
Struck with a big or a little hammer!
One is sure to enact a drama;
Golden voice hatching golden stammer,
Striker: replica of Osama
While one is far flung from Obama:
A writhing cut tail of Agama.
The Hitter Bigger Monday Hammer
Bound to give up any Akiyama
And grossly cough Newest Yamaha!
The clouds dispersed and brightened
And Luke looked The Frightened
His long bright look had darkened,
A week’s prayer not hearkened:
Not that of fervent farmer
A long parched Earth is Hammer
There’s a union he’d cancelled
And sought it by The Rains sealed;
An arranged Heavy Rainfall
That should drown Reception Hall:
Bride soak down to her undies,
Bride groom asking “What’s just this?”
Twelve thousand to Rain Maker
And before now Not A Shake:
Getting back his money sure,
Yet, in spirit remain poor…
Tried Luke to mar a marriage;
Over it run Hell’s Carriage!

Hammer hits the jewelry counter.
encounter with a criminal - yesterday.
She was working to make some money.
Instead received a knife -
now her life hangs in the balance.
Police caught the perpetrator,
after havoc was released,
along with screams.
I almost went to the same store
the day before…
the day before…
I was at another mall yesterday,
when this situation became grave.

I was a self-admitted misanthrope
unwilling to lose or drop a case.
I often threw a rope-a-dope
just to win; I never lose face.
I worked the dark streets
for dark, and even darker, clients
while the cops walked their beats,
shadows showing giants.
As far as I was concerned,
they were all a bunch of losers.
They were bad; they’d get burned.
The lot were boozers or bruisers.
I had caught a difficult case
The man was stabbed and shot.
He deserved it; he was debase,
but the perp would be caught.
The lawyer was my client,
he was dirty; the worst he could get.
Damn, he was mighty defiant!
Still, I didn’t think he did it.
He had no motive, but also no alibi.
So why were the cops after him?
He was a jerk, but had no reason to lie.
But for him the outlook was grim.
I might have to pummel every john
on the streets to get to the truth.
It wasn’t unpleasing to use my brawn
and I was a hellava good sleuth.
I’d search every city block.
I’d find the filthy little perp.
I’d find the lowlife and knock
the truth out of the twisted twerp!

hammer
handy, headed
clutching, sounding, striking
bludgeon, mallet, pinpoint, fastener
protruding, retracting, projecting
pointed, rusty

I'd got out the hammer, the hatchet and pliers
To attack the package of plastic and wires.
But the fix was so tricky,
The stickum so sticky,
I'd not even scratched it when I set it on fire!
