Hammer

Hammer hits the jewelry counter. encounter with a criminal - yesterday. She was working to make some money. Instead received a knife - now her life hangs in the balance. Police caught the perpetrator, after havoc was released, along with screams. I almost went to the same store the day before… the day before… I was at another mall yesterday, when this situation became grave. 9/4/2022

Wow...you know, we had a threat of a man with a gun just before I went to Walmart the other month, he called making threats. Police hoarded the place, just as I was getting there. They caught him; he never went through with his threats, thank God.

I do believe in things like fate and guardian angels. And, it sounds like you were in the right place at the right time that day... You've done a great job of expressing your fears in this poem. The reader can feel the suspense in your words... Good work, Kim.
