Luke Tries To Mar a Marriage

The clouds dispersed and brightened And Luke looked The Frightened His long bright look had darkened, A week’s prayer not hearkened: Not that of fervent farmer A long parched Earth is Hammer There’s a union he’d cancelled And sought it by The Rains sealed; An arranged Heavy Rainfall That should drown Reception Hall: Bride soak down to her undies, Bride groom asking “What’s just this?” Twelve thousand to Rain Maker And before now Not A Shake: Getting back his money sure, Yet, in spirit remain poor… Tried Luke to mar a marriage; Over it run Hell’s Carriage!
