Premium Member The Show Off in the Family

We pretend that
we're not easily impressed
but she truly is
an amazing gymnast
who at every chance
shows off her skills

Premium Member Caught in the Act

Caught in the act, the cat.
Behind-the-couch-brazen,
like a lithe gymnast.
She stretched vaingloriously,
her claws clinging to the fabric.
In rapture, I beheld her Olympic bend.
I’m in awe of her prowess.
Perfectly timed; an amusement.

Premium Member THE GIRL ON THE MONKEY BARS

As a gymnast with zestful glee
Going to and fro she likes to flee
Climbing up then down freely
Swinging herself wondrously
Showing off to pet monkey she does see on the tree.

With jubilant and vibrant spree
There she is, very mobile as she can be
Exercising faith* spiritedly and enthusiastically
Hopping with pull-ups, strengthening knee
Mimicking pet monkey, assisting her at the counts of one-two-three.

*Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Premium Member Simone Biles

Celebrated American gymnast, Simone Biles
Is ahead of her competition a fistful of miles

The most decorated in Olympic medals, ever.
In hearts and minds of fans, she'll live forever.

Premium Member She Dances

"She dances she glances
Beyond her shoulder
She peers
Looking back
Her beautiful smile
She poses in the mirror"

She swings, she sways
Pliable like a gymnast
With graceful ease
In frenzied joy
Like a droplet
On lotus leaf!

Premium Member Ilsa Haupstein

A girl, known, as an immaculate infant, never cried,
Grew up, like wildflowers, to assume her rights never tried;
Turned out to be the best gymnast at the age of thirteen,
Paralyzed due to sabotage, yet, in truth, a gym queen...!

Vanessa Eichholz, Ilsa, faces all ally forces,
Seemingly emotionless, Ilsa fights all hard courses;
As strong as iron and brave as a lioness, she rose,
An entire army, as lifeless glazier boulders she froze...!

As the German Occult Bureau shines in a Nazi role,
With Project Ragna Rok, Ilsa attains her idol goal;
Gets attacked by the Hellboy who bursts through the castle roof,
Ilsa enters the magic Iron Maiden; lives shellproof...!

Premium Member Bowl And Swim

Bowling is what I do during Spring time
And swim hundred feet touching the sea floor
Flexing like a gymnast, swing overtime
Holding my breath, a bowler underscore
Bowls of clear blue waters I play for more
Bowling pins like needles for life I strike
Bowling and swimming, sports for life I like

Don't swim too deep without an oxygen tank...
Life is precious to keep as waters know no rank!

Premium Member Bran Castle

A female gymnast in Romania
Sweet girl's name is Nadia
Went to a castle passed Brasov
A legendary castle, not of Romanov

Elegant and so cozy
To stay is nonchalant and dozy
Fictional character hailed once
People's world quivered more than once

Nadia kept coming back
In the said castle with a knack
Fell asleep one time waiting
In Bram Stoker's baiting

The night so dim in the scene
As a knight comes out with sheen
But the night crumbled with pangs
Nadia and the knight bitten with fangs

From the bed Nadia dropped on the floor, screaming
  ... a dream!

Premium Member Daredevil

Like many comrades and councilors of Moon Knight,
Daredevil, Matt Murdock, was in fight and might, bright;
Reservoir of Herculean power and strength,
He could lift thousands of pounds and punch any length...!

Gymnast! Acrobat! Olympic muscle tissues!
He could suffuse or transfuse perilous issues.
Power, born of self-will experimentation,
Fused in him mercurial mobilization...!

Rat or cat or elephant like sharp hearing sense,
Owls and eagles like radar vision effulgence;
Enabled him antidate his environs clear,
And respond and combat with vehemence severe...!

Lion-like he could fight Captain America
Superman, another puissance replica;
Moon Knight and Daredevil, though, fought a tough battle,
Merged to collaborate with warm tittle-tattle...!!!

Premium Member Nightingales Flappers

Can you believe this amazing crazy limit
Nightingales flap their wings 60 times per minute
Holy crap that's faster
Faster than a hamster
When needing to pee they perform like a gymnast

Premium Member Surreal Scary

Real happenstances may be scary,
         illusive or even be imaginary.

      Octopus dancing twisting eight tentacles.
. Witty wicked witch showing miracles.

Kid of ghost laughs loud and merrily swings
Valorous vampires spreading thick dark wings.

Gibbous Moon peeping through clouds winks wizard.
Owl whirling round eyes turning head backward.

Unicorn washing horn in blood with soap.
Ghosts in tug of war with python as rope.

To fight with enormous huge angry elephant
rushing crowd of aggressive migratory ants.

Vicious vultures acting gymnast taking vault.
Hawks in flock started to gallop and took a halt.

Micro cat chasing macro mouse wagging tails.
Me, as lone witness trembling, and heart fails.

Premium Member Ponte Vecchio

Ponte Vecchio

Gift of history, an ancient relic
Clutter of the curious, devotional caravans
Different tongues, riot of voices
Spectrum of colors, collage of faces

Tramping hoards where horses galloped
Swarming the breadth and treading the length
For the glitter of diamond and gold or
A cavalcade of the fleeting folklore

Majestic arches in a stance
Of a gymnast on the stage
Behold the glory cherish the glow
Path is marked history shows

Perched on the banks, center stage
Remember the bridges east and west
Crumbled under the weight of time
Bit by bit and grain by grain at a time

Bridges in the depth of Arno
Stark reminders to us all
Fame and pomp have passing allure
But your role in history shall endure

Olympic Pressure

Imagine being Katie or Naomi or Simone.
The world has expectations and it won’t leave you alone.
Your performances’ perfection has been touted and extolled,
So anything will be a loss if it won’t get the gold.

Well, pressure takes its toll and therefore, even with the buffers
Of team and coach support, sometimes a well-rehearsed act suffers.
Katie* gets the silver as the Aussie’s time is faster;
Naomi** loses to a Czech, a Japanese disaster.

And Simone***, the gymnast everyone believes to be the best
Leaves the competition early, feeling out of sorts and stressed.
It seems the build-up is too much and many athletes just
Cannot function when their hopes and dreams may suddenly combust.

*Katie Ledecky **Naomi Osaka ***Simone Biles
