It’s a ruthless heatwave darling
Temps are thirty plus these days
Though it’s May, some leaves are falling
Baked to gold and brown phase
Saw banana moon last night
Hanging in the darkened sky
I imagined that you might
Have spotted it as well as I
But I guess you see the moon
From a different angle now
And its shape may change too soon
Sooner than this yellow bow
That I saw, will become rounder
And the big fat moon will rise
Upon us - we’ll sing about her
Like we did in good old times..
What is time but a thing we cannot see,
but it is everywhere.
Time comes and goes before we know it,
good times and bad times.
The question is what is quality time?
Everyone's answer will be different,
grandkids to fishing to volunteering.
The quality of the time,
is what we make it.
What a delight to get together
for our annual festive dinner
Both the Devil and Frankenstein
drinking warm blood of swine
Other guests welcomed from mummies
scarecrows ghosts goblins zombies
Count Dracula and Witch Hazel
oops ~ brew is ready for appraisal

Exposing rays from leaves, dense forest
Over and above with idle flow, riverine raft
None, still numerous belongs my closest
Melodies out the tropical denses,
Spreading vibes in everyone's hymn,
Fueling the bonfire with all poor instances,
Join all and let's ride good times.
Are you feeling happy or feeling sour?
Mark the occasion with a liquid shower.
Good times are what is preferred most.
You may celebrate and raise a toast.
Bad times, you might lament in rain,
and champagne sometimes leaves a stain.
He Will Lead Us
we have
our hope and strength
with Jesus as our Lord
He will lead us through the good times
and bad
Good times don’t last
Fleeting, they vanish fast
Some leave memories sweet as gold
Others, scars that never heal
Lingering in the shadows of our hearts.
Just yesterday
I was all she had
Laughter filled the air
No room for sorrow
Good times were all we knew.
But time, once slow
Crawled upon our backs
Then, like lightning, it vanished
Leaving only echoes
As sorrow crept in, filling the void.
It left its mark on our hearts
But never a place to begin anew
Good times, like all human emotions
Fade into the past
Leaving us yearning for what cannot last.
The ghoul lathered a cadaver ~
with a dagger, the cops gathered
Heard this before? “Life is what you make it”
So very true, we are all captains of our own vessel
We are the ones that map out our course
The winds of life are not always in our favour
But the happiness we receive is much more gratifying
Than always having things handed to us on a silver platter
We appreciate even the smallest gestures of love and kindness
Aside from the lunatic fringe, we are all cut from the same cloth
That one percent cause all the problems
For the ninety-nine percent of normal folks like us
All we want is to get from point A to point B
With love and the least amount of hassle
So my advice is, just let the good times roll
One day at a time and all that stuff
Today’s workplaces incommodious
Laid off, the exuberant and joyous
Atmosphere’s sterile
Good times imperiled
Efficiency’s drumbeat will destroy us
She waited
In silence and dismay
Yet with hope
of seeing better days ahead...
She saw them coming
But couldn't make them stay
They flew away
and vanished in haze...
With a broken heart
still with an unshattered hope
She doesn't wait anymore
but forges ahead in life...
Favourable or adverse
as might be the circumstance
She's a dedicated person
at the end of the day
who has a strong will
and is built well emotionally
Her tears tell stories
of her years of persistance
when her strength lay unwavering
and she, a gallant lady in making....
We live in good times
(by most historical standards)
Yet more accurately these are the best of times,
and the worst of times, as not only is there everything
imaginable happening, but
every up must have a down.
But in good times, with a good times mentality
we think there shouldn’t be any down side,
and if it comes then it must be something
we’re doing wrong, or aren’t doing right enough,
and when it comes, it becomes intolerable as we sink
into despair or scramble for our bag of tricks.
Bags of tricks are good, to ease the strain
and make it through another day,
but they aren’t meant to erase the down time
as much as give us the strength, the breather
the resilience to face it all
with patience and equanimity.
Down sides after all are just
the other side of up,
the other half of a whole,
and to expect to have one without the other
is childishly foolish
in the extreme.
Good times create soft people
who then create hard times
which in turn creates hard people
who then create good times…
round and round, on and on
up and down without end.

What Fun!
I worked in a small call centre once
The boss was fed up of being bossed about
So left his job and set up his own call centre
He became his own boss and my boss
Gave me a job dialling varied accounts
In the US UK and Australia
Including tech support surveys sales
Plus education and B2B accounts
I learnt so much in my year with him
It was different and challenging
Each day was different even fun
I was gal agents cry I saw guys battle
We work drank sang ate danced
In my first year of BPO work
I’d do it all again oh what fun!
