GOOD TIMES

Good times don’t last Fleeting, they vanish fast Some leave memories sweet as gold Others, scars that never heal Lingering in the shadows of our hearts. Just yesterday I was all she had Laughter filled the air No room for sorrow Good times were all we knew. But time, once slow Crawled upon our backs Then, like lightning, it vanished Leaving only echoes As sorrow crept in, filling the void. It left its mark on our hearts But never a place to begin anew Good times, like all human emotions Fade into the past Leaving us yearning for what cannot last.
