The trees are too busy
losing leaves
or withdrawing deeper
into their winter selves
to notice me.
Clouds pass overhead
oblivious to my presence,
the wind detours around me
and carries on its way
as if I'm not there.
I mean nothing at all
to the river much less
the ocean. Butterflies
and birds ignore me
or keep their distance.
I'm treated as only a part
of an earthly whole.
That won't do.
Little do they know
they are paying a price
for their indifference
and reluctance to bend.
I am asserting
my god given right
of dominion
by slowly
killing them.

Premium Member The Rape of Palestine

The Europeans colonized
middle earth and Africa
as their God given right
America built on the labour
of African slaves
Indigenous killed
murdered, and slaughtered
then laughed at
some of you still live in this world
others though, through the eyes of history
have admitted
if not confessed, the evil deeds
now you see children burned alive
in hospital tents, on purpose
and for that
they are your new enemy

Freedom Of Life

Assisted dying should be a freedom
who are you to keep me breathing
Abortion rights for those who need them
opposing strangers for no reason

Opinions of others sometimes offend you
laws should never be there to defend you
children should never have choice to choose
politicians, gender, cigarettes, booze

Words people use can affect your mood
but pain is a feeling you cannot remove
thoughts in your head don’t excuse attitude
if you are offended just block it from view

Don’t blame society for the weakness in you
you are responsible for the things you do
don’t look to leaders then oppose how they lead us
polarised views too extreme for a genius

The freedom to live is the freedom to die
the freedom to choose isn’t yours to deny
you cannot interfere with things you don’t like
what others say and do is their God given right

Constitutional Right

Oh, he had a combat rifle,
An Uzzi sub machine gun
A revolver and a pistol
And a TASER just for fun,
Because to bear arms
Was his God given right
One of those for which
He was prepared to fight.

Nobody ever knew
Why he flipped his lid.
Nobody ever knew
Why he did what he did.
Just wounded lying among
Bodies of the six dead,
Rampaging on until a SWAT
Marksman shot him in the head.

It’s not guns that kill people
The NRA statement said
Its those who pull the trigger,
But folk still end up dead.
I really don’t think that’s
Much of a consolation
To bereaved and grievimg
Coping with the situation.

A loved one lost with
No apparent reason why
Just in the wrong place so
They just happened to die.
One of those things
That sets off alarms
As to why they need to right
To continue to bear arms.

There are no indigenous natives
Waiting to ambush waggon trains
Very few live lives of danger
Out on the old Wild West plains.
No, perhaps they need weapons
To protect from the likely harms
Caused by all those others who
Exercise their right to bear arms.

Premium Member I Dust Off My Gray Sandals and Leave

My life is tan, my life is gray
I dust off my sandals and leave today
I kick my feet and flap my wings shoving off with my might.
Seeking something refreshingly new is my God-given right.

I see some orange in the distance, so I kick my feet.
Yellow and pink appear, I hear a cardinal tweet.
My new color is red, and the cool air is fresh and fine.
I am a prospector looking for a gold mine.

I am flying flat out now, toward the twilight sun.
Thinking of all the things that will happen, most of them fun.
The world is full of strangers who could be solid delight.
I think of them fondly, as I lean toward them with light.

My life has been tan, my days have been a dull gray.
I am so glad that I decided to start this journey today.
I kick my feet and flap my wings shoving off with my might.
Seeking something refreshingly new is my God-given right.

"Not allowing yourself to be who you were always meant to be
is the grossest miscarriage of justice."
 --by poet

You have a God-given right to be you
Live your truth fully each day
Let no one bully you.

Live and let live without prejudice
I believing in basic freedoms for all,
Being fair and just, principled
Equality being a God-given right,
Regardless of race, creed, or nationality
Always following the Golden Rule,

Sorry Uncle Albert

We are so sorry uncle Albert
we will all miss your crazy Thanksgiving talk.
I am so sorry uncle
I have done nothing all day
but drift away to Never-Never land.
Peter Pan sends his regards,
but sorry to say
Tinkerbell is still mad at you.
You should have restrained your natural impulses
when she, in a low-cut costume,
leaned over that large bird,
but we do understand the temptation.
By the way uncle
your life was a carbuncle
but you cared, and we all defend
your god given right to be dumb.
We will leave an empty space for you
this coming blow-out.
Sorry uncle for this turkey song
I have nothing left to say
and you are dead and gone.
anyway.
Sorry.

Premium Member Hidden Flaws

Hidden flaws cannot be seen
through the lens of a blind eye.
Thus, shadows collaborate to hide hate,
as pretense helps bigotry stay unseen:
but it is there; merely open your eyes.
A collection of tall tales;
History's a false teacher.
Brutality, cruelty, greed, and fear:
are but tools we use to manipulate
and amplify murder to genocide.
War is a God-given right:
pacifists are all traitors!
As effective today as in the past:
for lies are the preferred motivator;
a proven way to control the masses.
We tout our belief in God
when it serves us to do so.
Democracy appears designed to fail:
for it struggles not to be overthrown
by psychopaths with political might.
And ambition is funded
by big money to this day.

God Given Right

Believing you have some God given right
to challenge my words and treat how you like
force my submission, oppose what I write,
tie me in position until there's no fight,
then follow you quietly into the night,
control and not care with my pain out of sight,
as though a possession to grasp most tight.

Believing that you have some God given right,
is the reason that you are now not in my life.
Taking my side is what you should have tried,
but you stood against me so our paths divide.

A self righteous narcissist, I hope you find light.

Casulties of War

Make the bed you ly in, it's nothing but a bed of lies
The truth you're denying is the God given right to cry
You decieve yourself when you swear you do no harm
But the livng proof is right there in your empty arms

Life is a battlefield, the soldiers right and wrong
But it seems the victims never see the light of dawn
Killed as they're sleeping so you won't hear them cry
The cowards way so you don't look them in the eye

Blood on the mountain and the rivers running red
Waters are salty from the tears that have been shed
Cold hearted laughter and your web has been spun
Now the walls are coming down, the war has just begun

You just turn your head and look the other way
So you don't see the blood that falls like rain today
or the generations that are silenced by your sword
No law could ever justify "Casuaties of War"

You take their breath but Heaven takes their soul
Spirit of Baal you've been denied your gold

Warm

Warm

You ain’t hot,
you ain’t cold.
You’re not decisive,
you’re not bold.

You’re cut in the center,
right down the middle.
Neither right nor left,
nothing but a riddle.

Your colours don’t bleed.
They run more gray than blue.
White and pale,
without shade or hue.

You don’t taste the bitter,
nor desire the sweet.
Don’t want the cold,
can’t stand the heat.

Risk is great.
Reward unseen.
Questions are dirty.
Answers unclean.

Your fears in control.
The heart stays dry.
Witnessing the hurt,
you refuse to try.

Afraid to stand.
You fear to fall.
Turning your back
to avoid the call.

In the world of masses,
singing the same song.
You’re on their road
wanting to belong.

Settling for crumbs
instead of your God given right.
It’s there to be taken,
if only you would fight.

But the costs is high,
the pain is deep.
Troubles to come,
make the price too steep
									(2
Neither hot nor cold,
flows through your veins.
Just a warm nagging feeling
that leaves a darken stain

Sonnet of a Night Owl

I know so well the warmth of cold moonlight,
For night is home to all keen thought, blissfully unmaligned.
Helios holds no sway with me, his journey out of sight,
Selene, my muse, guides my sweet nocturnal mind.

Supine, I float, and watch my ethereal phosphenes fly,
Till epiphany alights and I feverishly spring to write.
Mellifluous the ring of ink, as the paper I glorify,
Eloquent with ease, till the sharp break of Aurora’s light.

The ephemerality of my life seems with my heart to brawl,
Under shadow, ponder I, if unturned I leave life’s stone.
Yet Nyx’s reign inveigles me like sonorous siren call,
And so I sit, to on paper bleed, on my solemn wooden throne.

To live and write in lonely dark is my god-given right,
I’d rather live to shine in shadow than disappear in light.

Acceptance

Acceptance isn't based on what you find suitable.
It is not about your comfortability levels or your values.
Acceptance does not involve your condemnation of others actions,
as long as they are hurting no one, your involvement is not needed.
If it doesn't harm you or your life in any way, why the judgement?
Pointing a finger in rage changes nothing but your blood pressure.
Every human on this planet was given the gift of free will and have
the God given right to live their lives as they see fit.
Misplaced hate is useless, when you could use that energy for a better purpose.
You don't have to love everyone or agree with every position or stance
somebody believes in, but do allow everyone their right to be free.
Accept without conditions, for acceptance is humanity.
All races, religions, genders, sizes or otherwise deserve to be treated
with respect, not judgement based on your hatred.
Acceptance is within you if you only open your heart.
We are one race. The human race.
