Eke out, O my living?
On what grounds do ye speak?
Based on our thanksgiving?
O turkey, through creek creak!
Wind atop the atoll low?
Steady, then first blow.
Ogre, ochre. Fast or slow?
Gold, give off thy glow...
Tyrant of the ocean deep;
Through dark chasm leap?
Horror, do ye find life cheap?
Challengers to creep...
Thought-light, gloss over the spark?
Fire, light up the dark?
Covenant? Communion, ark?
Hone, upon the bark...
Fill in, O ravine? Unseen.
Trail lead through the green.
Emptiness, fill each machine?
Will it work, I deen...?
Dismay, spring from dynamite?
Nuclear, gone white?
Pinholes, curtains, nine knives, night!
Rampage on the right!
Queen of civilized world, wait?
Hie across the strait!
O for those who prattle, prate!
Rage at higher rate!
Barbarians, gather?
Oppose such as this?
Well, we wouldn't rather.
Sail on, black abyss...

It isn't just incompetence
That leads a custody evaluator
To to clean up messes
For bad actors,
To justify
The unjustifiable,
To gloss over
The vital,
It isn’t just incompetence,
It's the rotten system
That the custody evaluator
Has been marinating in.

I felt like...
Pieces of me were
scattered across the earth;
lost.
Leaving only my body intact.
Too close to G-d:
In the wind that dances with trees,
The light evading shadows,
and in the laughs of toddlers that walk
hand in hand down the steep steps.
She watches me.
sometimes her eyes gloss over
then stream.
In these moments she remembers;
She finds me and feels
what she has lost.

I
Happy Birthday USA
But the short and long of it
Political correctness, sungay- pungay -
America for short, United States in it
"Norte Americanos", or US citizens
Celebrate on July 4th
And I have lived & lived that too
God bless America! Amen
II
And God Bless AMERICAS, South too!
There is colonialism in language
We gloss over it, except with Sex
Then we insist on being so correct:
LGBTQ and LGBTQIA
And then the Census: add new 'race'
-
Yet America. Or America's includes Cuba
And St. Vincent, and your favorites
Yet we exclude at will, call Africa, 'coubtry'
When it has more than 50 countries
And I am calked "Asian" even when
I never visited, or had parents born in it
Yes, language helps us celebrate -
Some people, places, preferences, prejudice
And now some truth
Can you handle it?

Geometric,
as my pencil aligns shapes
answered with dots;
We seem comfortable with a blackout;
I will rewrite this dead language;
Caught up in the tracing,
but you gloss over the colors;
Logic has no role in pandemonium;
Don’t let me be misunderstood;
Foolish jester I am the punchline;
I live in the sketch,
my story began with a retrograde;
Move closer and we can design
with so catchy a parody
something that you feel;
The punchline ?
Evolution is geometric.

as best she can
she tries
to insulate
each gap
of silence
the voids the cracks
with everything she can
anything to blur
the reality
she wants
so desperately
to gloss over
and forget
mindless chatter
most times sadly pathetic

I
The LORD revealed to my pastor, and friend, now mentor
That Jerusalem and Babylon aren't mere "places"
They are People Groups, too: some of us will love Babylon ever!
Thus spake Rev. Kevin Sparrow. The Spirit set our paces
- those in the Lamb's Book - toward the real Zion, home of Creator
II
The key to the Book of The Revelation is "contrast"
Two kingdoms pitted against each other since devil Lucifer
Envied God His Throne - took a third of the angels and led
A rebellion that goes on. One Kingdom is known by legal tender
As legit as $2 note. The other kingdom copies God's dollar
And only the Holy Spirit will teach how to discern The Real v. Imitator
III
Satan is the slyest, if not the cleverest, copycat
His fake trinity poses the enigma about Armageddon, the end of earth!
When we gloss over Bible and The Person of the Holy Spirit
Yes, He is a Person, as are God and Jesus. He glorifies not Himself
But Jesus alone! He unveils the WORD, each letter and its spirit:
You may know The Beast's number, but do you know his 'unholy triumvirate'?

Kaos
My mind it wanders
I try to real it in
the haze, the distance
its hard to determine reality
Where it begins, where it ends
Amidst the noise and colors
a blend of thoughts are lost
I travel through the paths of consciousness
only to find Kaos
The struggle is real
the blank stares are strong
My eyes gloss over, the tears roll down
inside I struggle for where I belong
No beginning, no end
just caught in the middle
Kaos - My eternal friend

A sly violinist named Max
In ethical finance was lax.
He pulled all the strings
To gloss over things
And fiddled his end of year tax!

I sometimes sit and wonder
If it was a dream in all its splendour
And I think back without dwelling
Do my eyes blink and tears are welling
For looking back for the good is worth a smile
And I want to gloss over my grey file
Don’t worry for it’s hard to remember
The pressure and reasons now are obscured in its render.

The scarred desk, littered
with the wrinkles of young,
melts into chocolate
canary
easter bunny
birdsong
My ear mutters
"Are you there"
not able to finish
my homework
grinding
pepper
she reduces herself to glossed lips -
they gloss over everything
dull
turn on the light

Take society’s attitude
Towards indifference as given
Although women abhor gratitude
For societal foibles forgiven
In the face of the Christian faith
That burns within a woman’s soul
When Providence breath
Scores a salutary goal
In consonance with the motto
One cheek slapped, the other cheek slapped
In a pilgrimage grotto
Where 2Pac rapped
All eyes on me
As though a woman were leper
Society loved to hate with glee
Alongside a pauper with no caper
To boast of
In the sight of men
Who grudgingly brandish love
As an inducement to women
Treated with contempt
Used, oppressed, dumped
In a haughty attempt
To get machismo start-jumped
In the full bloom of the sickness and ugliness
That womanhood suffers
In huge doses of humiliation and sadness
With no compensatory offers
For remorse unfelt
Hair tousled and unkempt
Expectations raised and unmet
In an egregious event and attempt
To gloss over injustices
Unleashed on the fairer gender
In equinoxes and solstices
That demand women’s surrender
Although the new millennium
Demands fairness
In the cranium and premium
For women’s unstinting happiness with boldness.

One country some often say
Since banned firearms day
Is safer than the USA
There really is no truth in that
Mass shootings there rare before Act
Little or no change after... fact
Though mass murders no reductions
Some five plus killed on six occasions
Difference was no guns as weapons
Along with USA's mass shootings...
Other countries have mass stabbings
frequent car attacks and bombings
All countries have problems this we know
People with agendas gloss over for show

Nothing positive about the future to write
The future seems shite
That must be why
I only write about what has come pass
The good bit's I somehow gloss over the bad bit's
Because I have short term memory loss
When it involves shame and blame
So what of the future ?
Ask me tomorrow
And I will tell my pen to lie
If I don't like the outcome
Ill just polish my paint's
And get someone else to play me
Portray me
As a multiple gold winner
Thinner and Majestic
Modeled in plastic
Fantastic
Science fiction
Like making predictions

Xenoglossy
I learnt the language of silence
She declares
Miming is painful for the little girl
So that her eyes moves to the rhythm of xenoglossy- Silence
“Peace!” She declares as her eyes gloss over the leaves of the fall.
Pastel shades and spilling beans.
Of course she has no words for spilling beans and pastel shades.
Miracles do happen- the rhythm of xenoglossy
The language acquired without teaching
Visits the deaf girl
So that she feels the silent words in her bones and often in her skin
Not on her tongue.
Writing is too painful for her little hands
Reading impossible. Her green gaze is held
Permanently on the fluttering of the wings
Then a smile on her pursed lips.
Xenoglossy- bona fide kind
Beneath the xenoglossy of her own.
