I've come to the conclusion,
you can't walk both sides of the street for long,
sooner or later, you must make a decision,
pick one and stick to it, whether right or wrong.
No one is in control of everything, all the time,
so, when the situation becomes furious and fast
the hour is now to stand up, be counted,
nail your colours to the mast.
And, if not with, then you're against them,
somewhere you have to draw the line,
no matter who's side you're on,
but, as for me... I'm on mine.
Love so powerful
It will not face defeat
The love of Jesus goes after the lost
On the Cross, He paid the Cost
The Love of God the Father will not be stopped
He is the God of tomorrow.
And He will reach His Objective.
He will write a new chapter in your biography
Because He is the God that moves forward
The Love of God the Father will not be stopped
The God of the Impossible is always ready
Our faith in Him should remain steady
Dreaming beyond the call of duty is essential to our legacy
He is the God that moves forward
The Love of God the Father will not be stopped
The furious Love of Jesus saves us
And the furious love of Jesus fights for us
In Him we trust
Please help me in my confusion
Come to my rescue
Do not leave me sitting all alone
On this lonely beach of abandonment
Help me my brothers
Help me my compatriots
Help me you all men of good will
To make a modicum of sense
From all disconcerting confusion around me
My country has become an enigma
Difficult to fathom and rescue
From self inflicted contradictions
We were in the abyss of despondency
We were in dire need
To wriggle out from Economic strangulation
Kidnapping and banditry
General insecurity and insurgency
Glaring leadership failure
And like furious flash flood
We trooped out with hope in our hearts
With one goal in mind
To cast our votes and make a change
Particularly the youth eager
To put their trust once more
In a system bereft of any trust
And like a Gale of disappointment
Our hope came cascading down
To the abyss of disillusionment
And cacophony of claims and denials
And waiting for the unseen hands of destiny
To steer her from annihilation
To the habitual and perpetual state of inertia
Furious Flame
I once knew a love
Of passion and pain
Mad for each other
A furious flame
Shouldn’t have lasted
The years that we did
Made for each other
So Hot & torrid
Epic chapters
In each others life
Never dull
Just, not always nice
I once knew a love
Much louder than thunder
I don’t miss that clash
Though do miss the wonder

Our furious passions, like wild rams,
in a fight within our hearts, engage
To a head-butting confrontation,
Trying, one another to upstage!

Beads of sweat trickles down my head
I feel as hot as lava spews out of me like a mighty volcano,
Covers me with black that is blacker than colored black ash,
Still the redness of my face bleeds through this and much more
Fully combustible fumes about to explode within
From what is contained and what is expelled,
Is not pleasant to onlookers, nor myself.
I think, plan, and plot,
But, who is the best of plotters?
Looking for a target to unleash my fury,
Aiming in and out and feeling wretched
I pull the strings of a ball of yarn,
Yanking it like hair on someone’s head,
Unravels and completely falls dead.
How dreadful it is to be red as a cherry tomato,
Or green as a monster with a green eye as the color of ivy
Tightly wound, trapped within and confined,
In a room, solitary, quiet, and silent
Devoid of any interaction
Of humans, insects, and animals
Just air, breathing, in and out,
I go against the flow,
Not with it, but against it
I sit down and lament
Furious George, angry adolescent
Whose fury was white-hot incandescent
He kept punching a cop
Foolish kid wouldn't stop ~
The slammer's now curbed his effervescence
Powerful passions promise to
find the light within the darkest night
sparkling like diamond stars in blackness
soothing, healing, accepting the caress
of a feeling who beckons through the mist
of a haunting, autumn reflection into a caress
from the hurricane's heart, a touch of hope
promising sensations of inspiration sent down
from the home where we will make our way once
this moment has past and the hues of sorrow
have gone by, reflecting the intimacy of faith
conspiring to build a fire of insight inside
where the storms still rage on as reminders
of a naked urgency comparing the water's
strength with the silence that comes after
the storm has finally driven hearts ashore
where they will await the touch of sorrow
coming from the echoes of waves that collide
with music that ignites fires of harmony
mysterious memories color us with fury

How furious are the curious?
Or is it the other way around?
If you’re catty, are you necessarily batty?
I ponder these things with my regular doomsday frown.
How much drink will take me to the everlasting brink?
I know it may seem odd perhaps, but I just have to ask.
You see these questions come up in my mind oh so pink.
When barkeep puts too much ale in my holiday flask.
We evolved at a furious pace.
Oh, how noble we are as a race!
But why are we here?
The answer, I fear,
is to always be stuffing our face.
WORTHY WEALTH
In my dilemma
I saw no way to keep my Mama
On the wheel of wealth
And to keep my educational growth and health
But in the my furious fear of losing both
My Mama tapped me and said, ‘Akwasi, go to school’.
Furious George
was a monkey, so bad
He beat up his trainer
which made him feel glad
You can find him often
pitching a fit
But don't get too close
while he's throwing his ....
Then came the day
when a publisher called
to further a deal
hitherto stalled
But in the end
they rejected his story
and Furious George
left them just a bit gory
He was hauled off to jail
awaiting appeal
while his Curious Cousin
got the book deal

So easily my brain ceases to be
Lacked in comfort how hectic it could be
Brain cells wrapped around membranes like tree stems
Within the frameworks of the Universe
Brain cells have more mass than stars that compass
So easily my brain ceases to be
Dendrites form the shadows of tree branches
Visually compelling to the eye-minded
Brain cells wrapped around membranes like tree stems
Does this brainstorm begin and have an end?
Twirling and swirling can’t we comprehend?
So easily my brain ceases to be
Medicines that we can’t apprehend
Enabling the brainstorm that never ends
Brain cells wrapped around membranes like tree stems
Mystery enshrouds our Brain’s functions
Those pills blunt and fill those with apathy
So easily my brain ceases to be
Brain cells wrapped around membranes like tree stems
dog furious
cat disappears
4th of July fireworks
Week three
Incessant bam bam ban
BANG! BOOM!
fingers being blown off
Veterans hiding under beds
Worse time of the year
if you ask me
or my
pets

*"Zorbas" is the name given to a cyclone that appeared in
the Mediterranean Sea and has afflicted mainly Greece for a week now, causing considerable damages, including loss of life. Usually, we
do not see Cyclones in this part of the world, but we will see them more often with climate change! Man has to learn to respect
Mother Nature and to avoid Hubris!
