Autumn always seems to sing a mournful melody
as its voice carries softly upon the chilled wind.
It's a melancholy song for souls in wistful notes
while withered leaves tumble, whirling aground.
They dance a rhythmic ballet like prima ballerinas
as I watch them through frosted windowpanes.

Valentines kiss all decked out in coats
Lips that dance at each other's throats
Flurries that decorate chestnut hair
The heat of passion warming the air
Beneath the length of the polar night
Is where these two hearts soar to flight
The weight of the world to disappear
When souls like these draw anear
Wrap them up in blankets of snow
Angels that form in the hollow below
Diamond dust that glistens the sky
Love like this will never run dry
Beneath mistletoe they meet their eyes
Evergreen spirits, with joy they rise
Nothing can break the invisible string
Of tender compassion, and songs they sing
At end of night they retreat to inside
With handknit sweaters on couch they reside
Orange fireplace glow on faces they show
Cuddled together, to sleep they go
This dream that I have I know will be mine
On a future winter Valentine's

Winter sun is yellow gold
Making mud run of melting snow
And Carolina clay is frozen hill
Where kids sled and play at will
Frosted sky with cotton cloud
In the eye of guy driving snow plow
He’s hard at work while we all play
All school kids search for snowy days

Blooming since temperate days of Fall
fragrant red roses were frozen
wearing sugar shawls of snow
gelid crimson petals
beneath a blanket
of winter white
slumbering
draped in
frost
Laced
flowers
shrouded in
crystalline ice
swaddled the roses
to preserve the beauty
until frost melted to dew
warm in the renaissance season
when nature gently awakens Spring

I was frosted in deep grief
When you left me in cold,
I loved you unconditionally
Still I tried to be bold,
And shared my enormous pain to Ocimum tenuiflorum 's leaf..

You shattered my heart into pieces,
They scattered around, as time ceases,
Now tattered memories left behind,
What mattered has vanished from my mind,
My battered soul now dreams of love lost,
Thoughts spattered as heart's covered with frost!

As I see the tree tips this morning in their icy splendor
It's proof that heaven used the same grace to give your blue eyes render
When you hug me tightly it becomes abundantly clear
With your embrace alone you can absorb all my fear
Those ocean blue eyes in a glistening still calm
Your soft hand in mine touching palm to palm
When I think of you and all you give to me
I cannot help but think of the two of us like the branches on those trees
Our relationship growing steady, in different but similar ways
My memories of you my perfect muse will last till the end of my days

In another few hours
Sex and blood N murder
Digging up bones
A smear of mascara
Digging up bones
In another few hours
As snow falls silently on stone
The cooling engine tics
The headlights bleed into a frosted night
Die to amber in death
The tracks are fresh
As the red is in contrast
Feeling the falling snow covering
Etched bone
Silent & sincere
Sacred secrets
A drifting echoing scream
Felt in deep future dreams
In another few hours
Sex and mascara
Digging up bones
A smear of red
Sharp in contrast
Digging up bones
In another few hours
As snow falls silently on stone.

A weak winter sun, anaemic and wan,
devoid of all warmth, listlessly shone
on fields fresh frosted with nighttime’s hoar,
masking all traces of animal’s spore.
The crunch of farmer’s boot on ground
and the caw of the crow the only sound.
Misted breath in knife sharp light,
forms miniature clouds to watery sight.
As the mercury plunges swiftly South
and crystals form on moustachioed mouth,
the son of the sod does his daily round,
hauling fodder over stone cold ground.
Tending his charges, fair weather or foul,
in summers drought or winters howl.
‘til all is safely gathered and stored,
a job well done his just reward.

wee frosted mirror queen
with cherished frozen tundra
sharing winters grays
a glamorous lake
appeals to ice skaters
protecting her fish
wee frosted mirror queen
reflecting verdant treetops

The dawn had him shivering.

Jonquils, whispering in icy shadows,
Argue with January’s chill
Needling her about her coldness.
Upstart prisoners plotting a breakout
Always alert to a break in her façade
Resist complacency’s weakness
Yearn to mimic the sun’s majesty.
