Frosted Tree Tips

As I see the tree tips this morning in their icy splendor
It's proof that heaven used the same grace to give your blue eyes render
When you hug me tightly it becomes abundantly clear
With your embrace alone you can absorb all my fear
Those ocean blue eyes in a glistening still calm
Your soft hand in mine touching palm to palm
When I think of you and all you give to me
I cannot help but think of the two of us like the branches on those trees
Our relationship growing steady, in different but similar ways
My memories of you my perfect muse will last till the end of my days

This was written about the memory of someone that I knew it feels like a lifetime ago. I have not read it since I wrote it almost a year ago to the day. Thanks for the reminder A.S.
