SNOW DAYS

Winter sun is yellow gold
Making mud run of melting snow
And Carolina clay is frozen hill
Where kids sled and play at will

Frosted sky with cotton cloud
In the eye of guy driving snow plow
He’s hard at work while we all play
All school kids search for snowy days

Awwn, these wintry poems make me wish to see snow at least once! At my place, the sceneries are never covered in snow and thus, haven't gotten the chance to really see it.. Your poem feels so magical and full of splendor.. Throbbing with giggles of kids who find tickles of joy in this ambience. "Frosted sky with cotton cloud" Beautiful descriptions here :)

As a child one loves to play in snow. As an adult I enjoy it from inside with a cup of hot cocoa hot tea or coffee, watching others play in it. Driving in it is a nightmare lol. But it is beautiful. Maybe you will see it one day visiting someplace cool. Thanks for reading Hiya.

I used to love the snow but now I'm older it has lost its appeal a bit lol. Have a lovely Christmas Karen. Tom

I understand. I prefer summer or spring. But writing just to spread my poetic wings. Happy Holidays Tom.
