I came back to reread this one and take another peek at this glorious cake high heel, and I am shocked to discover the last time I read this was Friday March 13th- the first day of our school's spring break. A day we got off without knowing why were getting an extra day, not realizing we were not physically going back this year at all. I love this poem more now because of what we have gone through.
