Notes About The Poem

Line Gautheir's Bite Size 94 Contest ~ December 4, 2024

Frosted Windowpanes

Autumn always seems to sing a mournful melody
as its voice carries softly upon the chilled wind.
It's a melancholy song for souls in wistful notes
while withered leaves tumble, whirling aground.
They dance a rhythmic ballet like prima ballerinas
as I watch them through frosted windowpanes.

I like Autumn. I like the way you say leaves dance. Congratulations dear poet. Cheers.

Lin, magic words that create images in my head. You have a great style that rings true and reflects things we can relate to. Really a pleasure to read.

Autumn bows out as winter approaches, the swirling leaves like ballerinas, love the image you created Lin. Best of luck in the contest. Tom

Lovely Lin, before there was double glazed window panes, Jack Frost came and painted his artwork on the windows when it was freezing cold outside, what an artist he was, maybe he still is… Beryl
