Under the Frosted Mistletoe: A Winter Valentine's

Valentines kiss all decked out in coats Lips that dance at each other's throats Flurries that decorate chestnut hair The heat of passion warming the air Beneath the length of the polar night Is where these two hearts soar to flight The weight of the world to disappear When souls like these draw anear Wrap them up in blankets of snow Angels that form in the hollow below Diamond dust that glistens the sky Love like this will never run dry Beneath mistletoe they meet their eyes Evergreen spirits, with joy they rise Nothing can break the invisible string Of tender compassion, and songs they sing At end of night they retreat to inside With handknit sweaters on couch they reside Orange fireplace glow on faces they show Cuddled together, to sleep they go This dream that I have I know will be mine On a future winter Valentine's
