The Neighbours

Mr O’Malley was rather smelly
And used to frequently fart
Mrs Kelly owned a telly
And rode in a horse and cart.

Old Joe Blogs had lots of dogs
That used to poo in his yard
While Mr Scoggs looked like a frog
And resembled a tub of lard.

Mr Bruce looked like a goose
And spent the day grazing on grass
The trouble was it made his bowels loose
And he constantly wiped his ass.

But my favourite was Mavis Davis
Who always had jam scones for tea
Then after supper she’d have a big cuppa
And do copious amounts of wee.

Premium Member Nestbeschmutzer

A nestbeschmutzer
Someone who craps where they eat
Who steps in feet first

“Say no” co-worker
To someone who asks you out
Condescendingly

Don't make a mess where
You make love, sleep and undress
You might have success

No nepotism
At the family reunion
Leave that one alone

Don’t act badly here
(Proverbial idiom)
Where you live, work, play

Don’t cause trouble here
A place you frequently go
Don’t crap where you eat

Premium Member Toilet Paper Roll

When toilet paper roll is almost empty
We shouldn’t frown, panic and worry
Water host is attached on toilet’s wall
With sprinkler to wash our buttocks on bowl.

Water washes waste’s smudge thoroughly
With soap, bottom will no longer smelly
Whole life’s comfort comes more frequently
As washing purifies while wiping cleans partly.

Premium Member silly songs

I frequently make up silly songs
as I go about my day
- does that sound wrong?

Peter’s quite used to it.
Sometimes he sings along
when he sees fit.

It should be mentioned
that I have an awful voice
there have been singing interventions

I’m sorting my closet
one of the tasks on my
get ready for school docket

(*singing*)

“Look at me
I’m as helpless as a lobster up a tree
and if you
ignore the smell
i’m doing swell
feeling frisky
and so much in lovvvvve

Look my way
and as long as your not driving
it’s ok
in fact
it’s just as well
cause I bet you can tell
that I’m frisky
and so much in lovvvve”

Premium Member Gum leaf in the bush

Though I can hold my branch the whole year long,
I sometimes lose my grip upon the tree;
A cheeky cockatoo with beak so strong,
Or racing winds that hurry to be free.

My falling journey brings both fear and joy,
While looking up, I see my brothers bound;
What cruel winds and hungry birds destroy,
Will join our fallen kindred on the ground.

The monster sups upon our brittle bark,
And swallows all my world in blinding gold;
Yet waiting in this fierce, devouring spark,
A greater, green rebirth will soon unfold.

Though I am turned to dust upon the floor,
My ash will feed the native bush once more.

Poet's Note:100% Human-Written.This poem is a strict Shakespearean sonnet, written entirely by hand in perfect iambic pentameter with an exact ABAB CDCD EFEF GG rhyme scheme. On a summer night up in Labrador,
a couple was having fun by the moor,
but the flies were lighting
and frequently biting
so it was best to make whoopie closed-door.

Premium Member ODE TO RAJA

Raja, our soft precious fluffer nutter,
for you, I always melt like love butter.
Simply watching you sends me aflutter.
With tail up high, you are a grand strutter.

You are the best dog we have ever known.
Your intelligence is frequently shown.
That cover is only now and then blown,
like when trapped in a plastic bag hole zone.

You fetch, heal and we all think, sometimes speak;
'I muve you', 'mello' and 'melp' sound unique.
At times I think your talk is tongue and cheek.
You tell and show all our doors you WILL peak.

Unlike most felines, you hang with your peeps.
Together, more pack love flows for our keep.
You stay to play, talk, groom, perhaps lap sleep
and for popcorn, cheese or yogurt to reap.

Now thirteen, you want a new mattress share,
between us, on our pillows and my hair.
Knowing what you do not, I hold you there
to memorize you for my heart's layers.

Shadow

You're on the wall - a shadow.
Only in this way dare I address you,
frequently pretend that you are here,
yet say: but you are a shadow,
a shapeless shadow.

And yet I know who you are as that shadow
creates a shape, even a penumbra,
within my mind's eye.
Should such curiosity prompt misery?
Should this misery prompt pleasure?

Premium Member Today I am

I am a crocodile today, with tears flowing frequently all day
In my mind, I roar and chomp and growl at the world.
I am the color blue today, the color of sadness and grief, yet my favorite color because of the many shades, nuances and moods.
I am a hurricaine today, with my emotions swirling violently
like a storm strong enough to destroy everything in sight.
I am a quiet waters today, a place to rest like God promised in
Psalm 23, he is my rest and I rest in him.
I am a child of God today and every day and although life is not
easy, I cling to him and he holds me close.

Rainy Day

it never fails

I leave the house
without umbrella
without raincoat
only to get caught
in a downpour

and by the end
of the day the
wetness leaves
me cold and
heavy and
in need of a
dry place to rest
for awhile

these rainy days
come more
frequently as
time goes by
and sometimes
seem to go on
forever and I
am no more
prepared for
the next as I
was for the last

the rain is
coming down
outside

it never fails

Premium Member KIDS NOSE HOW TO PICK EM - GROSS HUMOUR WARNING!

Carl’s frequently picking his nose
He's saving it, as does twin Rose
They now have a huge pile
Of dried snot, it's so vile
And daily their collection grows!

Their mother found the pile of snot
And deftly removed the whole lot
Carl cries, Rose starts bleating
"That snot was for eating"
Their mother does not care a jot!

Beyond the written

Keep me informed and tuned,
Before the curtains are downed.

I use to forget my dialogues in the script,
No matter how frequently I revisit.

A blank version occupies me all the way, Hard to get rid of it and able to say.

I can't recognise the written pattern,
Just copying things from the stolen version.

My days never payoff to their might,
Nights are less bright to lose their sight.

Premium Member Isaiah's Fourth Woe to the Nation of Judah

Here is a deep reflection on our moral compass and the choices we make daily. In a culture that often blurs the lines between right and wrong, this scripture challenges us to seek clarity and truth. How frequently do we find ourselves influenced by societal norms that contradict our beliefs? The call to discernment is paramount; it compels us to examine our hearts and align our values with God’s Word. As we ponder the implications, let it serve as a guiding principle in our lives, encouraging us to uphold truth, discern good from evil, and be agents of change in a tumultuous world.
