Should you like to view the shrike
or have a butchers take a hike
to where they nest while at rest
but better yet sneak a peek
at the dancing yet docile
and stupid blue-footed booby
as it will make you smile
for they have no need to choose
a pair of blue suede shoes
and how to catch them
there's no secret you would keep
it's best when they're sound asleep
yes can you guess
if you dare when they nap
to snare one two or a few
use a blue-footed booby trap
light footed danseuse
admired by the masses
original steps
danced like a faerie
twirling her petite body
bloodying her feet
Insects and mice, beware, beware!
Black-footed big cat is inside that lair
She will gobble you up without a care
I smell her scent in the autumn air
blue footed booby
foolish mating rituals
zero predators
Works of fire and thunder
flower the surface of a dark river.
When the rockets
are dead-eyed and spent,
muffled calls remain -
a flap and gabble,
of the peevish and ruffled.
Night stumbles over the edge
of gunpowder clouds.
Ducks deliver themselves
to the dark-dinged sky.
Distant cannons sigh.
Where's the pink-footed goose that evil-minded Warde
tried to catch? Didn't the bird follow his shrieking horde?
He was parched on the white oak over the small lake,
On Monday he was startled by the total solar eclipse!
Birds like their freedom, nobody should cage them;
they'll die a horrible death: no sun, no spring in bloom!
If the human spirit is isolated, it'll feel the same effect;
set all your prisoners free, extend your visual aspect!
Don't I miss the pink-footed goose quite and beautiful?
He knew I wouldn't harm him and swooping down
to pick up his breadcrumbs, he got close feeling grateful;
without warblers, there'll be no sounds at rising dawn!
Where's the pink-footed goose that I watched
from below with a curious glance, he didn't warble
or chase after a butterfly, his silence was miserable;
did he grieve his long-gone feathered friend?
Geese grieve too, it's not only humans who do;
take in consideration their sorrow: we are alike!
I keep coming to this lake where white doves coo;
they miss their friend: their cry is far from divine!
When Your Young Life Catches You Flat Footed
BarBQ, potato chips Mountain Dew and Watermelon pie
It was a huge celebration of friends on the Fourth of July
There was Tammy with beautiful hair and those dark tanned legs
And Patricia looking so sexy, appetizing, made a soul want to beg
Then ravishing Connie, O, me my, my, those sweet sexy lips
Last but not least there was Helen, that made Greeks launch those ships
Four very beautiful women and each one I had once dated
I wonder if the day would be a curse that was indeed ill Fated
And each one of them was surely there to see little ole me
I did not know whether to be very glad or so swiftly flee
My new wife looked at me, gave me that "you better behave stare"
I was immediately wishing these feet to rush me out of there
What to do next, what to say, damn it, I had not a clue
I was so deeply perplexed, and thus into the house I flew
"Man o man", the pressure on my heart surely hit me damn hard
Like a wise man, I went and hid in my library, writing like a Bard.

There once was a dame named violet,
Who tried to surf without getting wet.
So she climbed aboard,
Her ironing board.
When trying to surf the Internet.

Bibble, the Blue Footed Booby believes bubbles are beautiful.
Babs B. Brown, his brother’s best bestie bashes his belief to bits.
Bibble blusters and babbles, breezily blowing bright blue bubbles.
Bibble’s Booby brother, Billy barely arrives before a battle begins.
Black-Footed Ferrets are listed as, endangered
and are the most endangered mammals, in Northern America
They inhabit the grasslands of, the Northern Great Plains
and are the only ferret species, native to Americas colonies
Native American tribes, landowners, conservation and organizations
have given the black-footed ferrets, a second chance for survival
but habitat loss from, human density encroachment developments
and ongoing plagues and diseases, only decreases their revival

Could I ever
Chance the power
To let you win
Race on back
To begin
This fleet footed fly
Repeat
I will stand
And be the blessed
Among the damned
The
closet
of
my
mind
gathers
the
labour
of
my
eyes,
My
heart
aches
with
sadness
The
emptiness
of
life
A
sharp
contrast
to
a
heart
filled
with
strife,
My
mind
present
yet
absent,
On
a
wing
it
skates
the
air
From
a
bird's
nest
to
a
desert's
tattered
tents,
Eager
to
unravel
the
trapped
myths
of
the
earth,
The
eyes
set
foot
and
stare
as
the
sky
undresses,
Its
womb
lets
loose
And
the
dust
takes
a
bath.
Cleansing
itself
of
human
scum.
Band aids cover the womb,
until the scab grows strong.
In pain I grow weak.
I am sure you can feel it in the words I speak.
Blood leaks, from the warrior like scares on my cheek.
My wombs are fresh, band aids never seem to hold.
Temporary healing fades.
Hope decaying.
Flesh less bones of hope.
Clinging to its shoulder blade,
dragging it with me as I fall and continually fall.
Falling in shattered glass mixed with wreaking trash.
How have I come so low, below to the lowest of all times.
Below the stars I wonder.
Below the thousand footed stampede,
I bleed, I bleed.
With my blood I write, you read.
Indeed in need, in need of hope.
