Bank Job No Longer Fantastic

Can’t you for a moment be frank
About his being of higher rank;
That not once, not twice, your heart sank
And you’d wanted to yourself spank?
Nsofor whose sweat and robes stank;
The smell of air in his room dank!

I know your prayer is A Bank
Working in one should swell your tank:
On rougher days a sneaking prank
That makes one seem less of a crank…

Not in Nigeria of today:
Just above Two Thousand a day
You-please!-don’t change it to dollars:
Cost of the pants of footballers…

Now, one pays for iced juice one drank
Or it gets debited from shank:
A painful farewell to free malt,
As sellers shall one later halt!

Polycarp and Baseball Cap

I've just spoken with Polycarp
About his bright red baseball cap
I'd swear is his main handicap:
His wish to keep wearing the cap
While to Tennis Ball he is Pap
And equally does football 'tap';
His donning of a baseball cap
A conflict and misguiding map
You rely on and your strength sap,
Because of the capital gap
Between him and a baseball cap...

Game he'd lose to to who's had a nap
Or just finished singing a rap
And with avid fans had a snap...

The whole wished drama a self trap
For tennis games not receive call,
Among footballers not grow tall.

Number Ten Again

One of the greatest footballers that ever did play
Wore the number ten shirt in the name of Pele
Commandments of ten were given on Mount Sinai
How that number came up nobody knows why

Ten Downing Street is a famous London address
Why isn't it number nine or eleven is anyone's guess
The Chinese consider number ten to be perfection
Scoring less in Gymnastics would lead to dejection

There are ten lords a leapin according to the song
Crabs and lobsters have ten legs to move along
So many examples of ten there are so many more
Until the next time good buddy will say ten four

Age and a Footballer

Age and a footballer

A lot I hold against Age:
It can the cheapest goals wedge,
The fortyish striker make a tired leg;
Final whistle of a match quick to beg,
The referee not afraid to bluff
For a first half long in rounding off!

A great deal I have against Age:
Many a thirtyish dribbler by the ball dribbled
And later when interviewed simply quibbled…
Big names you wouldn’t believe could lousily fall;
The signal to players to hang an advancing boot
Even as either pair still fits either foot.

A zillion things I know about Age:
How very similar it is to Restraining Cage
And some sort of brother to the slowest plague;
The while footballers are still in the race
Merely basking in God’s grace…
The many times one is featured in a tournament
Age patiently withholding its embarrassment

Premium Member They Dope Players, Don'T They

How will footballers huddle
  keeping six feet apart
Are they gonna tackle
  by throwing darts

Wearing face masks under
helmets is a total joke ~
Let the players bring the dope
and give the referees a toke

The World Has Gone Crazy

Everything is 'normal' - the balance has shifted,
even lady footballers have suddenly become gifted,
electric cars and now public trips to the stars,
it's said that certain sexual people may be banned from bars.

I'm not smoking in Bhutan but vaping in Uzbekistan,
the scent of grass is on the US plains, that's hash not ground,
I'm not sure if you're Miss or Mister, must be sinister,
you don't like me cos I'm brown, you'll never have my tan mate.

Everyone's protesting, I'm going to glue myself to someone's ****,
I'll only agree to something, my wishes - if it fits,
I don't like this, I don't like that, cats eyes inventor,
if he'd seen the cat the other way round, he'd have invented the pencil sharpener.

Seriously tho,' we must take action - we will all be gone,
destroyed, God's beautiful plan - until the next one comes along.

Hamburger

Hungrier than a wolf pack hunkering down the hill

A lpha teen male footballers share microwaving kill

Meat tonight they smell and enough to go around

Burgers make them happy and they munch with humming sounds

Under meat they peek to see if pickles thrill the palate

Grudgingly they toss the greens that try to pose as salad

Eating is a joy-- onion ketchup mustard gourmet mess

Running down their faces is a combination guess.

Agents Abroad Rewritten

Agents Abroad.
Tiny rooms in basements somewhere not far from the docks,
pink light ,no air-conditions. Cartagena girls on contract going
from city to city, their best years are as short as footballers;
only the girls have short contracts and in no time they end up
in third division. I remember this because Obama’s security
guards, coming to a foreign country went wild, living as they
do in a country where the puritans rule, those caught
philandering like Tiger Woods, get his balls cut off and he will
never be great again. Ok, Obama’s guards should be mortified
it is just the freedom to be a man not having going through
rituals of courtships and feel reckless. Not easy to be American
male squeezed into an iron jumper by the moral brigade, all
is legal as long as you don’t get caught…and if you get trapped
go to the nearest church and confess in public, tell everyone
you are a Christians who have sinned, you’ll be forgiven if you
castigate enough, tears will help; but remember do not argue
with a prostitute.

Footballers

Over paid and over rated
over sexed and disgraced

Role models? cheating on their wives.
they get paid an sickening amount of money for kicking around a ball.

Racism and swearing, and think their above the law.

Ryan Giggs now don't get me started. The youth of today all want fame as Jessie j stated 'it's all about the money money!

Football in my opinion it's overrated. Not like back in the day when it was for the love of the game not the fame.

In Time

when inspiration strikes it is usually ignored
to busy for words are usually the thought
but what if we stopped and wrote inspiration down
would it bring tears to the boxer
or maybe make footballers cry?
the words of courage and hope they could bring
but time is precious and can get in the way
so the words that strike are lost...
lost...
lost...

...in time forever

Unequal

What's happening to the world?
Footballers are getting paid thousands a week. While the poor are starving, so sick and
weak.

Politicains corrupt and wrong. Spending hundreds on business lunches. Enough to feed ten
people.

What happening to the world?

Countries fighting countries
brothers killing brothers
mothers killing their children
lovers chaeting on lovers.

What's happening to the world?

Aids, rape, murder and drugs. Thugs, racism the list goes on.

I keep asking myself what's happening to the world.

To You, Unkind Sir!

To the owner of the minivan conveniently blocking my exit:

May the sweat of a thousand footballers invade your nostril
May the sound of a truck hooter invade your thoughts so shrill
May you freely step into the dung of hundred elephants
May your journey be accompanied by a thousand chants
May your daybreak end in a two kilometer traffic standstill
May your thoughtlessness be repaid in proper and full

May your windscreen need cleaning at every stop
May a red paintbucket on your bald head drop
May you be mooned by a tribe of impis
May a hundred roosters awaken you tomorrow
May your every step result in a wish
A wish that you never blocked my exit!
