Plain droplets plink downward risk-free.
Rain, that bristles on panes, weighty.
Rip-roaring, soaring, not boring,
as wind assists an outpouring.
Angled and claustrophobic dance.
Can’t see the light; cars take a stance.
Sky, a blue-gray, wiper flip-flops.
Shy, the soft pelts of ho-hum drops.
snow covers green grass
with slippery ice crystals
no time for flip-flops
Real slippery slope
Landing hard on my backside
Fighting back the tears
no cause for laughter
broken bones are not a joke
planned ski trip postponed

If I were a millipede
- / Flip-Flops
The only thing I wanted was slippers
- / Flip-Flops
Five hundred pairs - you might think it's a lot
- / Flip-Flops
The best "doctor" for my tiny little feet
- / Flip-Flops
Let it be my greatest happiness
- / Flip-Flops
On the beach with lovely bathing water
- / Flip-Flops
Sun through my purple sunshine hat
- / Flip-Flops
I prefer the sweet taste of ice cream
- / Flip-Flops
Satisfaction prevents envy, soul or not -
It would be a floating summer symphony
filled with grains of sand, salt, sun
and a lot of Flip-Flops

sunlit magic
gritty hot sand
flip flops, umbrellas,
The smell of suntan lotions
Ph30, Ph15, Ph-something else.
Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
Burning of the feet
Where are my flip flops?
Who wore them?
Where did they go?
Where is my hat?
I am going to get burned.
You tan, but I will crisp up like a marshmellow
That has fallen into the embers.
Same as last year
And the year before
The day the beach opens
Same routine
Same sun
Same burned feet
Different group of friends though
In the shadow of the northern light
We stay indoors and bundled tight
Never even leave the house at night
For fear of freezin' to death
I want to go with you away someplace
Where the air doesn't hurt my face
We'll live like members of the human race
Where we don't see our breath
We'll settle down in the southern seas
Make love beneath the palm trees
Swing a hammock in the salty breeze
Where the sun never stops
I need two pairs of them flip-flop shoes
One just for sittin' out by the pool
And one for walkin' on the beach with you
In our two pairs of flip-flops

Percy the peacock flaunts his colored tail,
Spreading gold wings like a Japanese fan
To excite a mate, a future peahen
Along the hall where children watch him sail.
Once, thrice, Percy struts a handsome display
With eyes blue, he looks around for a pick.
And ladies murmur of avian topic;
While they form a circle nearing his way.
The prettiest one robed in aqua-green
Shows interest while Percy loudly drools,
That flappers open acting super cool!
Brilliant her poise, tall as he, and serene.
Ready to capture his one, perfect bride
Wham! Percy flops on the hall’s wet cement.
An honest proposal almost denied,
But maiden takes the chance, how heaven sent!

A belly flop, I was dared to do
After my beer, I headed for the pool-
A diving board jump!
Enormous splash- all my plump
Bystanders drenched, Me- feeling like a fool.
Next time they want a boisterous cheer,
Hopefully not until next year-
No more jelly belly
Stay away from the deli
I'll dive like a swan-with tight new gear~!
*Alternative ending; with a tight new rear~!

Flip-flop,flip-flop!
flip-flop,flip-flop!
a steady beating cadence
most annoying at times
whether from a distance
worse yet,when fast approaching
gives one cause to grit their teeth
until the noise moves on
becoming more and more silent
with each progressing
flip-flop,flip-flop.
I've got these deviant flip flops
Cheaply made, I will admit
But they're masters of torture
Though you may not give a sh_t
The right's thong attachment
Comes loose with every step
I've tripped so far 8 times
I've even had times I wept!
I reattach this toe stud
Every minute, or less, I'm sure
And that's if I'm not too lazy
I should do it far, far more
I,ve pondered pragmatic solution
So far evasive ,it seems, to me
Duct tape (one of God's great wonders!!), glue, nails try horseshoes?
Drivin' me crazy as you can see
So I hung them on the wall
To be my dartboard's new bullseye
And squeal with great delight
Every time that I should hit them
I guess I'm quite a sight!
So is this what my life has come to?
My footwear my arch-enemy?
I suppose, just now, I'm ready once more,
For a psychiatrist's intense therapy.
Flip flops slip off slowly
My barefoot touches the warm sand
Cold waves crash against my body
I feel the hot sun on my legs
Smell of salt water is in the air
The ocean breeze lightly blows through my hair
Seashells sparkle covering the ocean floor
Tiny pepples hiding in the sand shine through
Sand shimmers in the sunlight
Waves crashing gently against the rocks
Suntan oil feels of silk, smells of coconut
flip flops, beach towels, sand castles, suntan oil,
sunglasses, beach balls, body boards, iced tea,
barefoot, straw hats, beach chair, umbrella,
volleyball, ice chest, margaritas, jimmy buffet,
the beach boys, boardwalk, lifeguard
sand, waves, seashells, rocks, sun, ocean,
hermit crabs, abalone shell, sea otters, whales,
dolphins, starfish, shark, sailboats, surfers,
cruise ships, fishing boats, scuba diving, wind
surfing, seagulls, high tide, sunset
