A sunset at sea,
clouds resemble sweet roses.
Waves swell with passion.
That smell of cut grass,
go for a run right through it.
You’re a child again.
A slight taste of salt
from tumbling in the ocean,
just a dash burns lips.
The sound of a roar
before you can see a thing,
You’re on high alert.
My Muse is easy to see,
nature’s flare for poetry.

Before the sun sets
A million miles to go
Before my eyes are closed
I just learned how to dream
And now I got my wings
Lots of desires are winking in mind
Hopes are glowing like stars in night
A million miles to go
Before my eyes are closed
I just learned how to walk
And now I got my own floor
No chain,no bond to strangle
I am free to burn like the flare
A million miles to go
Before my eyes are closed
I just learned what to hold
And I have goals to catch
I learned to let go and hold on the best
I will touch the reality
when my dreams become my fate

festivals flare up
in July’s fever
cooler instruments prevail over time
snare-drums’ syncopation
grass skirts' gyrations
blank verse douses their rhyme

Jackie who was permanently stuck in the twos after
a childhood vaccine that was due..
Larry's addiction and prior crimes that led to his
affliction and wheel chair confine.
Bill who struggled with his c.p., only hoping that
others could see beyond his disability..
Joe whose institutional blows caused stuttering,
frustration and angry explodes..
Carol whose Asperger's left her obsessed compulsively
dialing strangers on her ex boyfriend quest..
George who got an inner thrill by chasing trash trucks
until they turned on the hill..
Phil who in public would stop and beg to touch the
calf of a woman's leg..
Barbara with her theatrical flare who craved full attention
every where..
Howard who lost his serenity when any change occured
in his vicinity..
James and his life long obsession with Marlboro lights
and fake wrestling..
Our society labels them developmentally delayed but
many were the best friends I've ever made..

Anger towards people, a tempestuous art,
Echoes through the soul, tearing every part.
A shout to pierce the walls of an alienated heart,
Yet louder we become, seeking a distant counterpart.
Rage fans the flames, tearing the poor heart,
Fury ignited, tearing emotions apart.
Yet in the inferno, a chance to restart,
To communicate with care, mend and chart.
When anger boils, and things go astray,
Pause the storm, let patience hold sway.
Cool the flare, in the calm of the bay,
Answers shaped gently, in a serene display.
When accused and anger starts to sway,
Reflect on actions, don't let it decay.
Compromise and mend, find a better way,
Let kindness prevail, and resentment allay.
Let not resentment bind, nor hatred impale,
But channel the anger, let wisdom prevail.
Towards resolutions, a positive trail,
Guided by wisdom, the ship will sail.

Tattooing scars gives them flare,
stylish make up is what others see;
Sometimes disguised completely
proper angles let old marks shimmer;
Stylish make up is what others see,
perfection glitters at first glance;
Proper angles let old marks shimmer,
past sour notes glow on canvas;
Perfection glitters at first glance,
there is beauty in your mistakes;
Past sour notes glow on canvas,
thus the beauty of well worn skin;
There is beauty in your mistakes;
Soft lines read like hieroglyphics,
thus the beauty of well worn skin;
The best designs the hardest times;
Soft lines read like hieroglyphics,
sometimes disguised completely;
The best designs the hardest times,
tattooing scars gives them flare .

In my arctic heart
perennial permafrost
freezes fragile emotions.
In your flaming fervor
glacial desire turns cinder
in the inferno of love.
In my blazing yearning
searing crave swirls
with fervent flare of fire.

Beneath the hot Summer sun,
Bathed in pools of sweat.
Cooking of my skin begun,
And it wasn't noon yet.
I felt my forehead fry,
And my whole body quiver.
In the heat of July,
It was baking my liver.
I hoped for a cloud,
And prayed for a drizzle.
I even shouted out loud,
But it continued to sizzle.
After two to three hours,
Had to rethink my plan.
Crusty by blistering powers,
Was no way to tan.

Rolling through space Earth enjoys her comfortable
Distance from the giving sun, of his light, with
Warmth enwrapping daytime life of verdant growth in
Goodness wholesome grain, trees, wind, rain, rivers, and pith.
Other planets rotating around the sun’s glory,
Venus basking in heat along with Mercury’s boiling
Blast of oven cooking for a star light to humans
Looking at the sunset blanket sky westward foiling.
Solar system gently rotates Mars, Asteroids,
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto at noon,
Around their star sun receiving his light circling a Solar year
Feeling through space his solar wind in a new day sunrise moon.

double trouble on the boil
earth bowels ooze devils oil
ancient rock and occult blood
darkest liquor thick as mud
cauldron charged to overflow
fire flare and charcoal glow
spirits rising from turmoil
circulate alembic coil
thus set free an evil spell
toxic breath creating hell
double trouble on the boil
earth bowels ooze devils oil
fuming venom distillate
burn in air and dissipate
poison potions pour and spill
flora fauna for the kill
this alchemy reaching high
venting evil to the sky
ancient carbon haunting air
greenhouse gases everywhere
double trouble on the boil
earth bowels ooze devils oil
global warming melting ice
species rendered sacrifice
many mammals facing hell
from this reckless evil spell
without caution carbon spent
now new magic man invent
bury deep then sin be gone
down in devils dark dungeon
tenfold trouble on the boil
evil born of fossil oil

They zoom in flight, buzzing through the air
Tiny hummingbirds are darting all around
To the sugar feeder with colorful flare
Swooping, without landing on the ground
Tiny hummingbirds are darting all around
Territorial chirps at one another in flight
Swooping, without landing on the ground
It is a swarm of such a beautiful sight
Territorial chirps at one another in flight
To the sugar feeder with colorful flare
It is a swarm of such a beautiful sight
They zoom in flight, buzzing through the air

Solar Flare
A long, slender dollop of dribbled concrete,
amidst others on a construction site,
liberally seen as a ray of sun,
I fashioned for a stony sculpture piece,
around an alabaster ringed flat rock,
to shine an artist's light for everyone.
From a pea graveled bush bed by a lawn,
where lovers lie and kiss, and others yawn,
near abandoned bird baths, full of leaves
that shelter bugs, dry from years of neglect,
wanting rainfall from these Central Park skies,
I sit quiet watching good people and thieves.
When our solar host retreats from its path,
and takes the light of day to night's rest,
the stony rays upon the ground shine less,
for the poles with artificial light
beam, as they may, but never quite as bright
as our loving firmament's celestial guest.

They say it's not my business
to console her, to lend her grief
brief respite, for winds blow cold
on remote torment and regret;
yet death revived an ember,
a flare not shared since we were one
in better days that I shall ne'er forget.

A beautiful bird with two feathers;
one in the Caribbean sea and the other in the pacific waters.
Its awesome hand pets the back of animal existence
as its stomach stays suitably soft
to the dwelling of butterflies, orchid lineage and Amphibians.
Unique in a self protecting strategy of its dry law,
the trunk of Emeralds stay strongest in its domain.
The Medellin transition of a murder capital to a cultural hub;
cosmetic obsession and a craze for physical attraction
well amplified by the artistic show of mannequins,
speak out for this region so sex friendly
and well identified by one of
the most historic explorers the world has ever known.
