Finances Poems | Examples

The sun will shine

Feeling dead
Nowhere to turn
Dead beat ex
I'm stuck
No way of freeing myself

Finances so intertwined
Like a tumour
Attached to something vital
"We can't operate I'm afraid.
Too risky"

How did I let this happen?
So insidious
So slow
A parasite. Unseen, leaching, infecting, invading, taking, taking, taking.

Eventually, clarity. The alternative.
So often dismissed now better than the present.

But I must pay for my blindness.
I must pay the price for hope.
I cannot be set free
Like a prison sentence.

And, by the way,
Don't bother looking up
Don't pray or ask for divine help.

Help,
If there is any,
Is ground level.
Friends, family, gestures, kind words, hugs, a sympathetic emoji in a motivational text.
You've got this
You are strong
I believe in you.

No choice. Hold tight, wait for better days.
Nothing is permanent.
Lean into the love and the sun will shine again some day.

Unlimited Kilometres

It seems like your finances have evaporated
but don't fret sweetheart
today I emerged victorious
with a small sum of money
and wish your dear soul to share in this joy

So let the poetic
beauty of turning setbacks
into opportunities
inspire you to navigate
the realms of financial security

Plus, choose reward
for your unwavering commitment

Premium Member In Playground of Imagination

The relentless pressure of ev'rything
demands ev'ry ounce of my attention.
Once I sailed a sea that delight could bring,
alas, in a world of my invention.

Wives, bosses, finances, loom like bludgeons -
momentarily, I avoid failure.
Alone, in a dark and joyless dungeon,
there's no success for this erstwhile sailor.

My own expectations stab like a knife -
who I wanted to be, and what, to do.
Powerless, against this arduous life,
I hear a voice, my cell bars, passing through.

Bye, all - I'm off to the fantastic sea,
imagination's playground's calling me.

Premium Member DEAR SISTER

I don't know why I'm so pissed off
It ain't the five hundred
And it ain't the storm

It's the dream that my writing has merit
And my sister won't give me the satisfaction
of thinking that I could do good

She's just like my mother was
Always looking down her nose
Saying I'll never be able to look after myself

Not believing in my dream but it's my dream
And I'm going to make it happen

She says "You don't want me to come up there
and take control of your finances!"

I want to be a writer of note, and I believe
I believe in the value of my work

There's nothing wrong with believing in a dream
And so, my Dear Sister when I'm rich and famous
the first thing I'm going to say to you is
"I told you so."

MY JEWEL

You shine so bright, a beacon of hope,
A radiant beauty, my soul's eternal scope.
Supportive and loving, through all life's strife,
My partner, my friend, my forever wife.

No regrets in choosing you, my heart's desire,
Together we share, love's sacred fire.
Our finances, one, no secrets untold,
Transparency's bond, our love forever to hold.

In my absence, home remains warm and sweet,
Your care, a haven, where love retreats.
You excel in wife and motherly roles,
A virtuous woman, with a loving soul.

Delicious meals, crafted with loving care,
Your culinary skills, beyond compare.
From a good home, your values shine,
A treasure, my Jewel, forever mine.

Academically, your support shines bright,
Encouraging me, through day and night.
Romantic cuddles, a love so true,
Your bosom, my comfort zone, forever anew.

I cherish you, now and forevermore,
My Jewel, my joy, my heart's greatest score.
You make life richer, with every passing day,
Forever grateful, in every loving way.

Premium Member You Can't Fool Your Money

You hear it from your neighbour
And on the street as well
So do yourself a favour
Forget the news they tell
But what may seem most funny
Regardless what you think and do
You can’t fool your money
More than your money can fool you
You can buy more expensive
Work more, rest a bit less
See your hard-earned finances
Cost cheaper than you guessed
You saved more than your mummy
But no matter what you do
You can’t fool your money
More than your money can fool you
Vote Tories or vote Labour
Support the refugees
Or don’t vote anymore
Share none of your hard fees
Go get some milk and honey
But whatever you may do
You can’t fool your money
More than money can fool you
You can pay more of tax
Use less of health support
You can get a full relax
At some pebble beach resort
Book for a week most sunny
A room with a sea view
Checked out, count your money
You’ll see who’s fooling who
Although you know the rules
It goes like you can’t win
More money make more fools
They live under your skin
You know it’s not so funny
You can say that it’s not true
But you can’t fool your money
More than your money can fool you..

As we embody our perspectives, we may do harm,
Someone might have lost everything; we complain about their lost charm.
Someone might not reciprocate a hello, and we draw conclusions faster,
Maybe he is struggling with finances to buy pills for his paralyzed father.

You glorify your child's achievements, but she might not listen,
You might think of envy; maybe she has lost a loved one.
You complain of her remaining aloof and declare her antisocial,
Never does it cross your mind she might have a leukemic son to look after.

Gummy on solana

In the realm of Solana, a gummy's in charge,
A silly meme that's living large.
It's making folks rich, breaking the mold,
Turning regular folks into millionaires bold.

A funny candy leading a financial spree,
Who'd have thought it? It's wild and free.
But in the world of crypto, anything's cool,
Even a gummy making people drool.

So chuckle along with this sweet little treat,
As it rises up, making finances sweet.
Breaking the rules, one chew at a time,
In crypto's world, where fortunes climb.

Is Africa free

ye are better than them
finances of the world
resources basket for continents
out of jealousy and envy
we have been raided
our men are slain
our women, raped!
our babies are spill to rocks
 oh! white raiders,
lead generations into slavery

Gender Based Violence

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Go on and beat me
But atleast not infront of our kids
For they'll not understand
Why you doing this to their mother

"Mum why you crying
Has dad beaten you again
I saw him do it last night
I wish he was never around"

This is what our son told me
I couldn't help but cry
Look at how it affects them
Why can't we just be at peace like other homes

Everyday you come home drunk pockets empty
For you've emptied it on bottles
And the endless trail of laces that got you hooked
Cause you don't see me as attractive as before

But how can I be attractive while all you do,
is pound the leaving hell out of me
It's like my mum stopped beating me while I was young
Only for you to continue it now in my adulthood

Why you so violent, what are you fighting against
Cause most times your war is not with me
You just pick up fights even where they're none
You've made me a laughing stock by our neighbours

Go on beat me
Maybe that's what gives you solace
For it's not enough that you drowning your sorrows
You also drowning all of us, cause our finances are drowning with each bottle

Premium Member - The Last Organ Grinder -

    The young mother died,
before she could hold her newborn child
    Paternity was unknown
the secret his mother had never shared
The boy was cradled in the arms of his grandmother
they were aged poor people in the countryside
a few chickens and four cows in the barn were all they had

                              no prosperity
gossiping at the child's birth -
                          bite thy sinful tongue

Characterized by tight finances and little food
The grandfather found hope in the hopeless
    The economy needed a boost
In the wood shed he found the antique organ grinder
Polished it shiny and gave it fresh colors
Life was not meant to be lived in wealth
the organ pipes were still breathing …
gave hope for a simpler everyday life
Every afternoon he took it on his back
and went his way with heavy steps
it was jingling coin that drew him
... a shame to live on alms

                             daily health and toil
the poor man's pride and honour -
                            hope in his tired eyes
