Time Has Finally Caught Up With Me

Time has finally caught up with me —
A hush upon the bone —

The Mirror whispers differently —
Than when I stood — alone.

The Mind once fleet as Sparrow’s wing —
Now trembles — in the air —

As if the Thought — forgot its perch —
And left me — waiting — there.

The Body bends — where once it

WHEN GOOD LUCK FINALLY ARRIVES

We will all have good and bad luck in our life
sometimes in the same day.
May we be blessed to endure the bad luck
so we can be there to enjoy
when the good luck comes our way.

Finally

I feel like finally saying 
And yet I did not ask for it 
I even gave it up 
To this first love 
To this unforgettable love 
Finally

Finally Free

I finally feel as if I can speak my peace,
Without any opinions hovering over me,
The freedom to say exactly how I feel,
Whether it's right or wrong with room to heal,
With no eyes watching...no one cares,
No judgement no opinions.. just me and the air,
The quiet and solitude I long to feel,
Without any expectations.. the feelings real,

Finally For Once

Finally someone who loves my poetic sentiments.
Finally found someone who sees me as special without laments.
Finally looking forward to how our times will be spent.

that I feared would never come

but here it is and that is why
my heartstrings softly hum 

from all the love you've given me
that greedily I take

to you I promise with this vow

one night it was said
while they were in bed
she cried out oh alas I have finally lost it

When Something Special Happens again, and again, finally

We said goodbye to August, 2015, and in that year we shared
The day we met, our futures set, in unison we're declared

That Christmas came and went, knowing we'd share it soon
Eight Thousand Miles apart, it felt like we were on the Moon

Twenty Sixteen we've entered, as we work towards that day
The day we chose, June

Finally at last

hello my pretty
the sun is out to greet me
spirits now high and cheery
the sky's no longer dreary

Moment by moment
Energy drained and renewed
Gone down a rabbit hole
Where crazies are viewed

Saw the world through glass
Mirrors always playing tricks
Feeling relief in blips
As the mind finds time ticks

...eating, always eating ideas

No more, it's over forever
Freedom has settled as peace

Dew on my sacred fleece

With my students I discussed the other day,
the famous line "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may."
Then after the prayer, with which our school day closes,
I heard the headmaster ask, "Anyone know what happened to my roses?"
And giggling to myself, I thought, "No effing way!"
