finally

finally
someone
this guy
how is he real
how is he doing this
finally
i feel loved
appreciated
he sees the real me
and still loves me
he loves me?
how does he love me
we are so different
yet exactly the same
yet he still can't look me in the eye
the sunrise is here
I'm finally happy

This free-verse poem captures the breathless, disbelieving rush of finally feeling seen and loved. Its repeated “finally” creates an emotional pulse, while the short, questioning lines preserve the speaker’s vulnerability; the sunrise offers a quietly hopeful closing image.
