Premium Member Fall's Color Extravaganza

In Fall's color extravaganza,
emerald treetops get set ablaze.
Nature harvests a gold bonanza;
at the end of Summer's shrinking days.

Emerald treetops get set ablaze,
and flames burn vermilion and cerise.
At the end of Summer's shrinking days,
green leaves morph into a golden fleece.

And flames burn vermilion and cerise,
highlighting the beauty of Autumn.
Green leaves morph into a golden fleece,
and trees get inked from top to bottom.

Highlighting the beauty of Autumn,
Nature harvests a gold bonanza.
And trees get inked from top to bottom
in Fall's color extravaganza.

Premium Member A Color Extravaganza

October is a pageant of color,
that celebrates the bounty of Summer.
Yet, Jack Frost, Autumn's gentleman caller,
opts to dance to a different drummer:
welcoming Winter as the newcomer.

Fall's a phantasmagorical season:
boasting a color extravaganza.
And Autumn's changing leaves are the reason
poets tout Nature's golden bonanza
of beauty: as a poetic stanza.

Scarlet and cerise ignite overnight:
as fairies set green canopies afire.
And although most songbirds have taken flight,
Fall offers so much beauty to admire:
Autumn colors never cease to inspire.

The air gets chilly; each breath crisp and clean:
underfoot, dry leaves make a crackling sound.
Crimson and orange leaves, shred Summer's green
into confetti that gets blown around
by brisk breezes, and scattered on the ground.

Wordplay Extravaganza

I saw a little boy and two pretty girls play on the beach
He took a few back steps and caught the ball
But hit his butt on a pointed shell
And let loose his good catch
He lost out to the girls and sat brooding
They joked to help him by lightening his spirits
All of a sudden there was lightning and the girls ran to their cabin
Dragging the sulky boy as didn't buoy their spirits at all.
