Ethics - Some Facts

Sivananda said it, so have others:
Unless we evolve spiritually
Humans will destroy the whole planet

Over time, we began as non-ethical
Then we progressed to infra-ethical
( The state of the animal kingdom)
Next wasn't Ethical Evolution, naturally
But anti-ethical in intelligent beings!

Why are intelligent beings anti-ethical
They permit hurting of others,
While not tolerating such hurt themselves!
Thus spake Aurobindo
In "The Human Cycle" & "The Life Divine"
But you will argue The Bible said it too
I agree with you, but weep at haters amidst us

Ethical Poem

An ethical poem
A big crow and a sparrow which had painted itself
in the colour of a big bird to look masterful became friends
Both suffered from a bombastic belief they could
take on the elderly eagle and its brood.
A virtuoso war a million other birds killed who only happened
to be flying on peaceful errands.
The Sahara became rubicund from a distance looked like a carpet
for kings and potentates.
From Eastern states, vultures came to feed and defend
to get the big crow and the preening sparrow off their territory.
The crow flew home, the sparrow took a bath to look common.
It did not help the sparrow it had done crow´s bidding
was shunned and had to fly from suburban gardens to another
and sleepless sit under a bush.

Premium Member On Justice

Why is justice difficult to achieve--
Simple matter of doing what is right,
Fair, and inherently good, I believe,
Why is justice difficult to achieve?
A concept, surely, we can all perceive
Ideas for which we must join and fight
Why is justice difficult to achieve—
Simple matter of doing what is right.

Secret Agent

Thank You Edward Snowden
Our intelligence agencies are fooling us
Selling us manipulating us ruling us
Lying and cheating in the name of defense
Why they Spy civilians?
Why they hack and control?
What is their goal??
Q. Do you want to live in a society that does these sort of things?
Note.
HD Apnay officers say bool,
 Bhalu Shah hai Sain Baglol..
Paidaish say moot Tak jhot boltay rehtay hain
Khud ko musalman dosron ko kafir kehtay hain.
Lesson. We can't wake these hypocrites who are pretending to be asleep.

Must we clone other humans?
Given that our souls are a
Part of God, will clones have one?
How about conscience?

Make Me a Good Man

Give me a good man
not a smart man.
Make me a thoughtful man
not a politician.

Take me to rich land
not a poor land.
Make me a stronger man
not a supposition.

The Ethical Self

The Ethical Self
by
Rick Folker

If there is evil here, it is complacency, and it is collective.
- Courtney Martin/columnist for On Being

The Moral Arc is bent
but not broken
It can be retrieved and repaired
like a shattered heart
withering in the penumbra
of great grief

If only we take back the responsibility
we have so casually ceded to the loudest, harshest,
and most unforgiving voices

Then we can become caretakers and caregivers
when the moral arc seems to lose the path of justice
and lies discarded and dismissed as so many hopes and dreams
are driven to despair

It is then that we must all the more forcefully stand up and stand by
our ethics, our morals, and refuse to blame 'evil' of some other
'uncontrollable force' when we are ultimately to
be held accountable for the killings, the cruelty, the craven fear
that paralyzes our better selves
and cynically opt for helplessness when these atrocities
could have been prevented.

Ultimately, we will be held accountable for the future we
and only we can make.

The moral arc in long and it does bend
but we need make sure that we bend
with it.

Ethical Rascal

Once there was a man called Easter Ethics
behaves in a mischievous teasing way, critic
“heat and fun motivates
if mutual trust is active”
bloody! ethical rascals amaze writers by critique.

Ethical Operation

Transplant the organs, one by one,
And when the surgery is done
Transfer the most important part:
A conscience to his heart.
