Black-Eyed Susans

I’m ordering a pack of seeds
For planting near my house.
Some flowers near a home is
An idea that I espouse.

If I plant black-eyed Susans
And, with luck, they really sprout,
I’ll surely smile each time
I’m coming home or going out.

Their color pops with happiness
And with their middle dot,
Or so-called “eye,” they paint a picture
I like quite a lot.

My thumb’s the opposite of green
So I won’t be surprised
If the seeds I plant don’t give me
Blooms the packets advertised.

Still, it’s not a big investment
To procure and plant some seeds,
For a dash or rain and sun and hope
Is all somebody needs.

Surprise

You are a surprise,
And you can be the surprise
In another person’s life -
A light in their joy or strife.

Better is one day in His House,
Don’t rob what God has vowed to espouse.
He is the everlasting Bread of Heaven,
Sit still, let His peace be given.

Feed on Him, till you want no more,
Richer than banks are heaven's store.
Raise your cup to Him in anticipation,
Lift it up - in your secret place of adoration.

Allow Him to surprise you indeed,
With the miracles of what you need.
He never fails, He never disappoints -
His grace is strong, His radiance anoints!

A voice in the dark whispers

Foundation.

With uncertainty flowing like a molten volcano around the world, and online.

Is it within dark times like these, we should try to bring more light into the world?

Title:

A voice in the dark whispers

Lookup
Not down

And be drawn
Into spiritual degradation

Or dark temptations
Linked to politics or the flesh
By the Red Dragon

But to blue clouds
Filled with sacred tetragons

With belief in whatever you know as good, be held
In-Depth

For the son of Cronus and Rhea

Brother of Zeus and Poseidon
Grows ever near

To welcome you into his waterless Barren Lands

Delighting in unimaginable fear

So be
Precipitous

And look up to
Defeat the rolling Abyss
Ruled by Hades

Hidden
Within
Its mists

Espouse goodness
While you still
Live

Like a sweet Valentine's Day kiss

And try to avoid
The Void

Filled with those
Who now pay a hefty
Price

But enter into new lands of Spiritual Paradise

With your selfless acts
Of kindness and self-sacrifice

Will you try to do good?

Or will you follow those who will suffer bitterness, when a star called, Wormwood,
Falls?

A Boy's Dream

I'm a single boy with wonderful dreams
Dreams of finding a soulmate matching my wishes
Wishes I formulated from a good morning
Morning to have you forever
Forever until death parts you and me

My fantasy as a boy is not any dream
A dream with my soulmate
Soulmate for me to marry
Marry after a thriving relationship
Relationship with a heavenly angel

Angel and a soulmate to espouse,
Espouse after I've madly befriended you.
You're the love I smell, my unique rose.
Rose and my purposeful confidante.
Confidante for life, good or bad.

That is my dream—to have you
You, as my fitting genotype chum,
Chum, we match behavior and education.
You'll break my singlehood; you're my real crony.

“So long as you have food in your mouth,
you have solved all the questions for the time being.”
                                        _ by Frank Kafka

Oh yes, I am known as a Mouse!
For months I've survived in their house.
I hunt here alone-
At least in this zone.
My food source is one I espouse!

On their buffet bar rests a plate
Of Reese's Cups, they sometimes ate.
But they do not know-
At night by moon's glow,
I stash them for a future date.

To holes on an old bookcase floor,
I carry each ready to store
And stack them up high,
As I proudly sigh,
Now I will be hungry no more!

But, one night I found they were gone!
Each one of my treats was withdrawn!
In that spot they placed
A trap- set and braced!
I left there before the new dawn!

So hard I had worked every night;
Each one I had moved with great might.
If they only knew
What I had gone through-
They would have admired my plight!

But, I'm just a Mouse and I fail
To live life on a greater scale.
For much, I don't ask-
To eat is my task!
Move on- to what fate will avail.

ESPOUSE

ESPOUSE

Wife and lover, combined
Being married, a way of life one can espouse
So refined

Not always smooth
Yet is as good as love allows
Your move

Above
All of the vows
Love

Wife and lover, combined
Yet is as good as one allows
Love

Bestilled and collected grand sensation,
stares at the glint of a harvested moon,
cast haulage divorcing neath horizon,
rise the yam sun that courses a forenoon.
Northern sways o'er ripen earth, fortunate
lofty leafy legions stretched abandon,
piles of crumpled layers, gifts pearlescent
brilliance of the immortal descension.
Towering mist espouse the crusted loam
and verdurous instilled life progresses
amid impaled saffron petals that comb
the scene all strewn against a capricious
path of lain chartreuse fronds and with the weight
of feet crinkles crispy snaps with your mate.

Hair Out of Place

Little hairs in certain cases,
are expected that we might see.
Arms and legs are common places,
as well as hair upon our faces.
On top of head, if no traces,
accepting bald, is what you'll be.

Lots of time, as well as money,
coif the hair, in styles aplenty.
Some may use in terms of measure,
when found in food, a real displeasure!

Little hairs sometimes on end,
results of cold, or perhaps frightened.
Little hairs grow as brows,
enhance the lashes, we do espouse.

But when we age, some do appear,
as little tufts upon the ear.
We all spend time giving chase,
of little hairs out of place.

Miracle Man

Most politicians are becoming political snowflakes,
If not in agreement you’re viewed as a traitor.
They cow to lobbyist, while playing patty-cakes,
and queried by the press they become a debater.

Some are offended by the words husband or wife,
so a bill is in congress to force the word spouse.
The word binary can be chosen at start of new life,
but this type of changes, some will never espouse.

We’re doing every sinful thing under the sun,
and I’m thankful that I don’t have much longer.
At eighty-four my life’s race is near being run,
so I pray for sweet Jesus just to make me stronger.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

You'Re the Only Thing That Seems Real

You're the only thing that seems real
By Michelle Morris
13/08/2020

You're the only thing that seems real
in this crazy universe;
A touchstone of pure when
everything is in reverse...

I look into your eyes and see
my love for you returned;
Of passion and friendship that
will continue to burn...

Like a cleansing flame
that cannot be doused;
We're soulmates together always,
like the fairy tales espouse...

I faced this man with whom I had an affinity
This is what I found him express with authority.

You’re handsome, and absolutely adorable
Face emits intelligent sparks of smile stable.

You’re rational, but at times tangentially crank
Your body has an ego-centric language frank.

Your charisma and eclectic elan espouse cheers
The eyes encase rosy dreams, and at times tears.

You’re caring and glow with gregarious grace
If you’re to run to get her, you’ll win the race.

Enormously elated, I looked close, and lol to see
In the mirror this known man standing before me.

I'm late to the
Meeting on purpose.
My back left paw
Needed 10 or 12
More licks.

Another write-up
Headed my way.
So what?
None of us can
Write or read anyway.

The Society is not
What it used to be.
The Calicos hog the floor.
Between coughing
Up hair balls
They espouse on
Innovative scratching posts
And the hidden
Benefits of sour milk.

Siamese are the worst, though.
Not saying a word. Just
Glaring about in creepy pairs.
"We are Siamese if you please DON'T."

I'm having a blast on my own,
Sitting in this tipped-over
Garbage can in my cozy-dark alley
Enjoying my Heathcliff strip.
Classic. Garfield's overwritten.
Heathcliff's real. My old friend,
Iglesias, a true Burmese,
Says he met the real Heathcliff
Back in '85. I call Bull-litter.

Ah geez,
They're rawring for me now,
Cuz it's my birthday
And they made
Some sort of parfait
Fulla old bananas
And moldy raisins.
So if I'm a total no-show
They're all gonna be
Hissed off.

I better get going.
Thanks for listening
To my PurrCast.

Fallen

On the edge of paradise,
woeful tears fall, cold as ice.
On that edge where I stand still,
ashen whips jut onto my will.

On that edge you sear my helm!
Kibble it like a spider; overwhelm!
Steering through many an eve.
Conceive, weave, cleave then grieve!

Render and espouse; knight and serf.
Guardian of your tear, gate, and turf.
Enact then re-enact my astral dream.
Put me to sleep, hinder my scream.

Dreary lips given a wide berth,
to unheard hiss that typifies rebirth.
Author my flesh unto caged envy,
yielding my soul: break the levee.

Sail amongst my translucent runes,
your siren of electric moons.
I sing for the breaker to inveigle,
tepid winds I once played regal.

Make me forget and make me pay,
for losing my way and drifting astray.
For getting so close then letting go,
missing the blow, ruining your flow.

You are pandora's quantum prison,
a bounty begging to be riven.
Your pride diverts your nemesis,
resurgent carcinogenesis.

Beshrew the darklight spring,
sustained by your phantom wing.
Slake it inept and enthrall its nectar,
woven and entwined in void-like vector.
