Ephemeral

Multitudinous micro-
oscillations manifest
misleadingly,
Quarks quintessentially
quantify questionable
quantum- permanence,
Subatomic structures subtly
simulate substantial
superficies
Macroscopic mutability,
Fleeting fluctuations
fabricated from formless
frequency- fields,
Intricate interfaces interlock
intersecting illusory imagery,
Disintegrating dimensions
deceive dedicated density-
seekers,
Evanescent energies
effortlessly evade external
examination,
Architectural absolutes
automatically atomize along
apertures,
Vaporous voids vividly veil
vast vacuousness.

Fleeting matter masks
quantum voids.

Lepidopteran Luminescence

Upon the gossamer
and zephyr’s swell,
A chrysalis yields
forth its iridescent
grace,
Transcending the
somatic, earthly shell,
To map the ether’s
labyrinthine space.
With membranous
and variegated flight,
It navigates the floral,
sweet parterre,
A momentary splash
of liquid light,
Embellishing the
high, quiescent air.
Through short, ephemeral
and fleeting days,
This lepidopteran beauty
drifts alone,
A kaleidoscope of shifting
brilliant rays,
To human eyes a miracle
unknown.
Then twilight folds its
fragile, painted wing,
A silent, brief, and iridescent
thing.

In an old abandoned house
On a sunny day
A colorful butterfly strayed.

With wings of rainbow
It fluttered through shadows,
Danced in the dim, misty air,
For a short time,
Twirling and swirling.

Past creaking floors
And cobweb veils so fine,
It explored the silence,
A gleam so fine.

But soon as the wild winds
Called it back outside
Through the cracked window.
It flew away
leaving the old house.

On bathbombs and the ephemeral

I went into the scented apothecary (lush)
For it smelt like a gourmand dream
So soon my scent grew weary
So I chose a random scheme
A gem shaped chalky piece
That smelt like rose and myrrh
(Unknowing it was to cease)
I dropped it into my bath, and watched the witchery occur
Damn you wretched homeopath!
Perfume merchant mocker
Who sold me that purple sphere
Dowsing gold, silver and copper
Did smaller and smaller appear
Fizzled up and exploded
Left that pretty gem eroded!
So now I'm left in tears:(

The Ephemeral Bee

Being amidst flowers, tasting nectar’s grace,
Euphonious music I create.
Ephemeral I may be yet leave behind my taste.

On Love

Oh no, I’ve fallen in love again
Why does this always happen to me?
Love is no bigger than a small apple
It reflects in the eye but beats in the chest.
What am I falling out of love with?
I can’t carry every apple I see.

Ephemeral

Upon reflection, have you had a bittersweet experience of a powerful, brief connection?

Something so intense, meaningful, but ultimately temporary, that still left a lasting impression?

Impressions of sublime moments that burnt brightly and then suddenly disappeared.

Leaving behind only grief intermixed with happiness and reflection.

Title.
Ephemeral

(A lone voice whispers)

I met you like the thunderous rain meets wet leaves

Fast and so unexpectedly, that the rain grieves when it leaves

For soon nothing will remain when the sun comes out again

                                             Life is ephemeral
                                        Like rainbows in the sky
With tints of joy and pains
                                        Of sorrows and sadness
                                      Wrapped as gift embracing
                                             Diversity of hues.

Premium Member Sheer Delights, Ephemeral

Sheer sweet delights appear as gossamer nets,
unseen, unheard, not felt with no regrets,
floating on puffs of wind to catch in your hair
before you care to know that they are there.

The warmth of dawn at sunrise.
The laughter of glints in eyes.
The taste you get before you bite.
The jolt of cold feet bare at night.
The déjà vu clicks down memory lane.
The heartbeat lilt before you kiss again.
The wind foreseen in quiver of leaves.
The thunder felt before heard in eaves.
The stings on a cheek as snow flakes land.
The sneaky touch of child's hand-in-hand.

So let the sheer ephemeral delights come,
to see what taste, feel, hear and see, can become
when you set your awareness alertness on high,
to savor the kiss of bliss that floats on by.

Ephemeral Grace

Solace, heaven’s temporal embrace,
A fleeting transcendence in time,
A breath lost on a breeze’s kiss,
An eternal moment, yet sublime.

Stolen good-bye

The silence, filled with whispers of turbulence
Crashed against the tide of an ephemeral moment
Perhaps fate has a strange way of entwining chaos
And we're meant to tie its loose ends with muddy hands

The affinity to tangle even the simplest ties
Is perhaps what's most befuddling
Yet I stand here
Pondering on this connection-
With our fitted glances and stolen good-byes

Could it have been any different?

ephemeral glow

  A pink butterfly
quivering upon a rose…
   ephemeral glow
