Ephemeral Poems

Ephemeral

Upon reflection, have you had a bittersweet experience of a powerful, brief connection?

Something so intense, meaningful, but ultimately temporary, that still left a lasting impression?

Impressions of sublime moments that burnt brightly and then suddenly disappeared.

Leaving behind only grief intermixed with happiness and reflection.

Title.
Ephemeral

(A lone voice whispers)

I met you like the thunderous rain meets wet leaves

Under the vast sky of illusions, we are actors wearing masks of stars and ephemeral shadows,
Our gazes meet through mirrors of mist, seeking reflections of hidden desires,
We are magicians of an illusory world, finding ourselves in the imperfections of others, in deep silences,
An endless waltz of unspoken words, a dance of souls under the moonlight,

Sheer sweet delights appear as gossamer nets,
unseen, unheard, not felt with no regrets,
floating on puffs of wind to catch in your hair
before you care to know that they are there.

The warmth of dawn at sunrise.
The laughter of glints in eyes.
The taste you get before you bite.
The jolt of cold feet bare at night.
The déjà vu

Ephemeral Grace

Solace, heaven’s temporal embrace,
A fleeting transcendence in time,
A breath lost on a breeze’s kiss,
An eternal moment, yet sublime.

Stolen good-bye

The silence, filled with whispers of turbulence
Crashed against the tide of an ephemeral moment
Perhaps fate has a strange way of entwining chaos
And we're meant to tie its loose ends with muddy hands

The affinity to tangle even the simplest ties
Is perhaps what's most befuddling
Yet I stand here
Pondering on this connection-
With our fitted glances and stolen

Ephemeral Heartache

How far must I go for love?
How much of myself must I erase
before I am worthy of staying?

I love you more than I love myself.
Is that enough? No.
I'll be better.
Skinnier, prettier, quieter,
a reflection of what you desire,
not what I am.

Is this love?
Do I even know what love is?
Should it leave me hollow
when you inevitably go?
If

My
Patience
Slowly slip
Each word spoken
Days become hazy
Memories wash away
Each breath carefully metered
Time cascades into a river
Currents erase stories forever
Flowing toward vast oceanic fate

ephemeral

my love for you, far from ephemeral
like a brick wall, bonded with euphoria and affection
yet, under the pressure of time
the bond start to weaken,
and the bricks begin to crack.
yet the wall still stands,
withstanding the elements against it.
but time eventually takes its toll,
as the bricks cascade and crumble.
the architect looks upon the

Ephemeral

Where am I?… Today, where am I?
My life is moving forward, but am I moving along with it? Is it moving along with me?
I want to be carefree, yet I keep wondering—what is this worry? What am I worried about?
At the same time, everything is happening, and yet nothing is.
Who do I go to when

Ephemeral Laments of Technicality

Ephemeral Laments of Technicality

Qualifications of a criminal mind
Magnifications of virtue in all of mankind
Qauntifications of meaning you cannot seem to find
Fractal notations in dreaming that you’d never leave behind

Geometric cubism born of Platonic Solids
Ego-centric hubris suppressing something rather horrid
Eccentric nudism expressing the inappropriately florid
Concentric prisms forming emotions that are torrid

Looking askance at a street performer

The ephemeral girl

She--- a demon
She--- a witch
She--- must be torched,
Thought--- the women,
For she,
Their men bewitched
Loving what has no heart-
To love back,
She, comes still
Taking what she can, taking, until--
She has met the devil's hand--
The change of seasons came too early...

A smell of a unique summer flower
Dying in the season of winter
She crippled her tone
Begging the season for

The Ephemeral Bloom of Love's Elysium

Love's tender bloom, a fleeting, transient grace,
A rapturous dream, a seraphic delight,
Where hearts entwined in an amorous embrace,
Find solace in the moon's ambrosial light.
But passion's fire, though ardent and intense,
Can wane and dwindle, like a fading star,
Leaving behind a melancholic pretense,
Of joy that once soared, now forever afar.
For love's elysium, a verdant domain,
Where bliss and
