brittle icicles

refrains replayed reinforce ego urges
soul witnesses this trance dance in surprise

Ephemeral moonflower
Blossoms in beauty
Bathed in opaline starlight
Through midnight hours unobserved.
A five minute fad
or one week wonder;
fame for a quarter of an hour...
Fleeting images..
shadows in the sun,
vapour of the morning dew..

Petals of a flower
work the ground
the time factor rendering it automatically profound
give balance to these ephemeral lives
against the nonsense of the ether's electronic high fives.
