I am a clown with a smiling gaze,
You laugh and I am happy.
I become Zorro, defender of the oppressed,
You are free and I am happy.
I imagine myself a cowboy with a lasso,
I hold you close to me.
I am protected by all my heroes
Who live deep inside me.
At nightfall I become Pierrot,
I see the moon and I am happy.
Along the way I meet Harlequin — bravo!
I am a cloud and I am happy.
One day a Smurf, tomorrow a kangaroo — what does it matter,
I am a child with a sun-bright heart.
In the eyes of grown-ups, I open my doors,
I am a child painted with the colors of the sky.
Daddy, look at the Christmas tree, it opens its arms to us,
The earth has covered itself with snow.
With my hands I build my dream and here it is,
Just for you, a snowman.
Mickey or Donald the little duck,
I dream of a world without rain,
Filled with music and fanfare,
Opening the paths of life for me.
Frog or fish — what does it matter,
I am a child, I marvel without hesitation
At a tulip or a fallen leaf,
I am a child with a heart full of love.

the contented life

the treasure chest
is touched briefly
inside a shell opens
constricted mind
of heart swallows
the bends,
it is found
wanting, so
releases
the fast,
changeling
embryo soul,
le enfant terrible
feeling the rips
like selkie
walls of skin
cool and warm
currents sucking
dark and light
kicking out
the within,
a transparent
circle rises
still life
perpetually
repeating
on carnate
incarnates
unstill
the unseen
surfaces
and surveys
the contented life
how it
rises and falls
bedded in shades
and shadows
of gently rising
and plunging

To An Odious Orange One:
Oh enfant terrible, tiny hands clutching at the flag,
Weaned from Mother's nipple too soon,
The nurse fed you caviar with a long silver spoon,
Saw your Father and the butler together, dancing in drag,
Confused, now you look to Kim and Vlad, for the approval
you never really had. Or did you have it , served on ice?
There's an empty abyss you've tried to fill with a golden shovel,
And no one dare say No to the very Stable Genius,
Unless they are willing to pay the price,
Heaved into the abyss, screwed, but not kissed.
And if she were not his daughter, he'd be all over her,
He and the late Jeff Epstein, pulling it together.
Well, the great golden Canary, now in the coal mine,
In November will tell us if there's gas, or all is fine.
Some will drink the Fool Aid, some will decline.
So will the Stars and Stripes rally and wave, or curl and sag?
Vote, vote, vote, and vote, and oust the fat gas bag!

I raise up my arms to receive the Father's blessings
As it rains forever more;
As we both come before the storm;
Venir avant la tempête;
Comme il pleut à jamais plus;
Laissez la pluie embrasser votre front;
Comme une grand-mère étreint son enfant;
Venir avant la tempête;
Tenant mon amour proche;
Venir avant la tempête;
I raise up my arms to receive the Father's blessings
As it rains forever more;
As we both come before the storm;
Ne portant que mon â me;
Tonnerre et foudre brille et les sons;
Tenant mon amour proche;
Nous sommes toujours si chaleureux;
Aimé de notre esprit à nos âmes;
Comme ces nuages blancs nous entoure;
Comme il pleut à jamais plus;
Comme nous venons tous les deux avant la tempête;
I raise up my arms to receive the Father's blessings
As it rains forever more;
As we both come before the storm;
“A meager life!”
the world hurls out.
Brooding rage stirs -
grave music in mind:
an orchestra of feelings,
unsatisfied turmoiled thoughts,
perceived by paining wounds -
heartbeat
with frightening velocity.
An enfant terrible -
Alone,
singing to himself
a parable:
paradoxal
to martyred music,
divining
death
while the blithe world laughs
with an uplifted voice.
A broken vessel
trapped in
shuddering darkness
and contrasting quietness
secret stirrings,
saturated senses -
quick ticks the clock…
A twilight lit room:
shining whiteness spreads,
as stars burn bright
and rain sluices down
over sun burnt grass
and folded flowers,
the silver moment
bleached with rain
dies in darkness,
while a woeful crimson
glissades across eyes
acknowledging sorrow:
maybe a disguise
for vengeance.
A voiceless void:
phantoms of thoughts
from which even
shadows flee.
A lovely child -
alone;
smothered,
by bloodshot clouds…
and nerve strained eyes...
damit selbst verwaiste Augen alles neu riskieren.
habitues toi mon enfant
Contrairement a ta joie
Akukhona ukuthi ngifisa ukukuphazamisa,empilweni yakho etsha
Ngeke ngakuqanganisela kepha ngangethembile ngoba ngangiwa ngivuk nawe
Nami ngangazi ngelinye ilanga ukuthi ngniyophumula ngibuse nje nge nkosi
Kepha kuyangicacela ukuthi ngangiyikake la ingalele khona
Ngangikondla ngenkece engekho ngikukhulisa ngenkece yasemajalidini
Uyihlo wakushiya wahamba okwe juba lika Nowa
Angimbeki cala ngalokho naye ngoba wuye owazi isizathu salokho
Ngiyofa inhliziyo yami igcwele ebuhlungu
Ngoba lawomabhilidi enfant is a khaki gazing angel okwelanga ukuth ngangizihemela
Konke ebengikwenza ebengikwenza ngothando
Nangethemba lokuthi ikusasa uyoba lusizo kulomdeni
Pho ke umuntu akathenjwa
Ungilahlisa okwenyongo yenyathi
Ungiphika phambi kobuso bami
Ungitshena ezikabhoqo uthi awungazi
Uyongikhumbula uyofisa ukulungisa izinto
Kepha Kobe sekonakele vele
Uyosikhihla esika Mandi
Uyofisa ukukhulum nami
Kuyobe kusasizani vele?
Ngiyobe sengikwelama things
Ungisize ungahlabi zinkomo
Ungahlabi zimbuzi ungaqumi ngisho nezinkukhu
Ngoba lokhu kofaka umkhokha ekhaya
Iyobe isiwuchithile inkonyane.
La discrimination raciale – Translation of Oodgeroo Noonuccal’s “Colour Bar” by T. Wignesan
© T. Wignesan – Paris, 2016
A man begins the search outside his head
with wondering, what kind of God would make
a wind-up primate, hot to rule his world,
endowed with nothing more than jealousy
to motivate his simian success.
But no, there simply must be something more
in peering out upon the field to see
an ass's jawbone crush a brazen skull
or drown with liquid words, an enemy.
Of what divine intent is the enfant terrible
who calls upon the prince to gasp above
the nails for his own sin? What triumphing
is that? There is the seed apostasy
has dipped in blood and planted in the soil
of apostolic greed.
Ho, everyone that thirsteth, come and buy!
There is a heaven here, a boon, a sigh
for every paradise pursued in vain,
for yellow cobblestones, and mansions in the sky.
A singular dimension waits beyond
the taking of a dream to consciousness,
for that becomes the moment when the God
of Abraham falls silent, angels need
to chant no more to shepherds on the hill.
The new Jerusalem has open gates
for every traveler; the wine is soft
upon the lees, the song is lush upon
the ear, the night perfumed forevermore
with love.

Too many questions
Come to my mind
And rush against my veins
Like the ocean’s bubbles
Why love is not for everyone?
Like the sunshine reaching
All beings
Like the sea’s waves, reach all virgin shores
Why love is not like
Water
Bread
Wine
Like an enfant water stream
Come from a titan desert to reach a big lake
Like a cloud
And rain
Like grass and
Flowers
For everyone
I thought
It is for all
Human being
With no exception
No etiquettes
No protocols
Or political debates
Why it is not possible
To get a natural love
Like a red rose
Rising up from
The sand
Why love cannot
Grow up naturally
Over
Our chest
Like our
Black
Soft
Yellow
Long
Short
Alternatively, curtail hair
In our pens pockets
And wallet
Why love is not
A necessity
