The art of empty words

People think I do not realise,
Yet letting them think so is my vice.
I speak as if I hold the universe’s key,
But truth be told, not a word is worth a fee.

A gift, I whisper, to weave a tide,
To drown a hundred sailors in whispers wide.
They chase the shore that never appears,
Yet one sailor holds on through the years.
I ramble, yet his patience stays,
Listening, as if time obeys.
He gathers my words, though empty they seem,
As if they carry a buried dream.
Scribbling, I turn—my thoughts unfold,
Written in ink of neglect, heavy and cold.
And there he stands, steadfast and bold,
His life—my epilogue, silently told.

No answers remain, no wisdom to give,
Only the weight of the words I relive.
Yet still, he listens, though nothing is new,
Resigned in devotion, as I fade from view.

Shattered

I thought
              love was safe,
a place to rest my soul,
but all I found was empty words,
hollow promises that tore me apart.
      My heart shattered into pieces,
         breaking with every tear
            that fell from my
              tired eyes.
               Alone in
              the dark,
              I reach,
             but nothing
            holds me now.
         The weight of loss
        pulls me further down,
      sinking deeper into pain.
     Every beat feels like
      a heavy thud, echoing
        the ache within me.
          My heart, once
           whole, is now
            left broken,
             in pieces
              and pain,
                torn
                 in
                 two.
                  Oh!

Empty Words

I've listened to a lot of shallow words in my life
 Words of empty meanings
 Words that just Past time
Words that spark emotions
And words that mean nothing at all
I've listened to a lot of talk in my life
Talks about future events
Talks about things people want to do
None of those talks added up
None of those talks made a difference
I've listened to a lot of flam in my life
Flam about where people want to be
Flam about what their expectations are
Flam about what they expect of you
And flame about how they love you
 Empty promises
Forgotten dreams
Morage of hope
Like Water in the desert
 It doesn't last long

Empty Words

I sat upon a midday noon clasping my last letter from you,
with thoughts I quiver knowing you are gone.
A war you fought so brave and well this story I now tell,
together and yet apart I seek only one more moment with you.

Lost and undone as my teardrops drip onto this page,
I question not the reason why my lost love had to die.
I only ask you wait for me in a special spot in heaven,
for without you I am lost wondering on earth alone.

I clasp onto your last words as if you were here by me,
at night I reach for you only to find an empty pillow.
Your laughter and smiles still exist in my broken heart,
to say I miss you does not tell this story for those,

are just empty words without you!

In my defense, in other silent words
In my actions they are deemed in perils
Harness, perish the thoughts, bring it out bring it about
It’s hard, so very, very, hard to hear
Those empty words
Those words that are always, always heard
And I won’t play favorites or try to flatter anyone
And I won’t as the grumblers malcontents following their own sinful desires
And I won’t be loud mothed boaster
Showing favoritism to gain advantage tryin to git over
While using, empty words
Empty words
Have you ever heard all of those empty, empty words?
They mean nothing if they’re not heard
Empty words
Them there those
Empty words

Empty Words

Emptiness, fatigue, a preconception of suicidal indentations.
While an incredulousness lack of faith dragged me under.
The undertow pulling me down, pulling me in towards a downward spiral.
Pulling me into the fire.
No humorous satire to ease the pain.
No more, “I love you(s) all now refrained.

Shallower Than Empty Words

Who laid his lustful eyes on you had no feelings
that matched yours palpitating with tenderness;
he had nothing to offer you truly but pretension...
not caressing you and making you feel his passion.

What seemed true was shallower than empty words;
his possessiveness never brought any smile of gladness,
any sigh of hope beside a burst of casual laughter
you could have done without in the midst of anger.

Some say that delights are very short joys,
those escaping moments never to be seen again
in happier days when time stopped ticking minutes;
who can erase them from a mind that couldn't condemn
lies but forgive them with a gullible innocence?
Can truth be hidden under the mask of pretense?

What seemed true seemed shallower than empty words,
more painful than an open wound that resisted healing;
is it worth chasing a lovely dream until moonlight becomes
that invisible glimmer when darkness starts disappearing?

Empty Words

empty words
that no one reads
no lips speak
no ear hears
known by none
lay without meaning
just on a page
they are not
words nor thoughts
or anything
lost

Empty Words, Soapy Sublimations

Uttering sugar-coated words is one dimension
Promising to love is one aspect, we must love
Walking on the head is crazy, we must embark on the mission
That proves our readiness and willingness to give

Stacks of moons and stars we promise
In our haste to gain social mileage
In the wake of the longing we increase
On our Facebook page

Cos promising belittles the dignity
Inherent in a spirit of true sacrifice
Which gives the little it can both here and at infinity where affinity
Traverses promise chasms and holds that it doesn’t suffice

To raise hopes on sentimental slopes we intend to dash
At the earliest opportunity we exploit then cut and run
Like the yellow cowardice we flash
When partners demand more than the fun

We long to access in the social process
Where we profess to give much
Deliver less than we access in terms of genuine progress
We purloin as soon as hallowed happiness from others shamelessly we snatch.

Empty Words

Did you hope I wouldn't notice you gave me empty words to drink?
well my tongues tasted more lies
than you would ever dare to think of.
You're not the only one with truth like poison in their veins.
whose ribs are shaped like cage
holding tightly to the pain
I knew even touched that wretched cup
pour a glass of words to cover what you hide
perhaps don't leave your secrets clinging tightly
to the side
but then again empty words.

The Empty Words

Desperate.. how can you be with someone and not love them. Desperate.. your heart is empty. Are you lonely? Desperate.. is it true? A shallow word? An empty meaning? Desperate..Desperate..Desperate, is it a rumor, the spread of words that ruin lifes. Am i invisable? I'm here. Standing in front of you. Maybe my glasses are blocking your view. I can change.. I'm not desperate. I'm in love, but then again what is love? An empty word. An empty meaning.. A rumor?

Empty Words

Empty words
Simply have no weight
They do not say how we feel
Make things clear before it is too late
Moments will come and go
Life will simply pass you by
Take the time to show that you care
That is no jive
