A Boundless Utopia 16-03-23

Atop a grassy hill I sit,
gazing at the rich azure blue sky
watching a few birds fluttering in and out of my vision,
slicing through the air like knives.
I lie there for what feels like an eternity,
wind turbine turning in calculated motion
out of the corner of my eye.
My rucksack ties me to the ground,
filled with a thousand weights,
preventing me from being like those birds,
majestic, elate and carefree.
But I can imagine.

The innocent silky clouds transform and bend,
producing a multitude of bizarre objects,
an army commanded by the wind
sauntering across the horizon.
A world with no end, limited only by mortal minds,
a mini-universe floating just above our heads.
We are the creators of this fictional world,
where human though unfurls.

I see an emerald dragon,
a group of chariot wagons, their horses galloping.
A circus filled with the most exotic animals,
an ivy snake laced with diamonds,
a canoe slicing through the sky.
A gnarly oak,
its trunk encased, fingers reaching infinitely high.
But each world is different for every one of us,
so tell me; what do you see
when you let your imagination
break free?

Waiting

One day I'll open up the door,
And you will step inside once more.
"I've waited long, please understand!"
Like thunder in a clear sky's hand.
Prepared for anything, I'd be,
With open arms to welcome thee.
I'd hold you close, my heart elate,
And finally, I'd know true fate.

I'll wait for you, though sense seems lost,
Your pure soul my mind engrossed.
I know, within your gentle snare,
I’m under a spell beyond compare.
Deep into this trance I dive,
As if under anesthesia, I thrive.
Your phantom face with me does roam,
A tenant in my mind’s own home.

When one day, in the morning light,
I see your eyes shining bright,
From joy I’d freeze, so mesmerized,
At zero distance, so surprised.

Inspiration

I have no inspiration
No love or no hate
Just some dedication
To take you on a date
My mind has been clouding
It's all a debate
It's got all It's doubting
It just has to wait
I'll find my dream girl
We'll go out to skate
We'll dance and we'll twirl
It'll be our first date
I'll wash all the dishes
I'll wash every plate
I'll use all my wishes
For you to elate
I will call unto God
To ask him our fate
I know He will nod
And say you're my mate

    Nothing has changed though really
What once was now centre stage
   People keep talking about democracy
Seems no one is willing to engage

Still we have a so called burocracy
That is throwing us all into a rage
Why so much hate and animosity
Though issues the elate did wage

     Though advances in some technology
Were just seen as numbers on a page
And now in the twenty first centaury
What still calls it self the new age

Premium Member Bliss boat

What may we say that will translate
bliss beats within that do elate
our presence without any cause,
dancing within childlike heart chaste?

All’s enabled when our heart thaws,
in resonation with God’s laws,
whence magnetism begins to rise,
which puts ego cravings on pause.

In timeless time, our ego dies
and in staid silence, our soul flies,
breath by breath, invoking God’s grace,
mindful of toroidal heart’s sighs.

Thoughts are slow, easy is life’s pace,
for we’ve exited the rat race,
since God Himself takes care of us,
there remain no puzzles to lace.

Premium Member Benevolence of Forgiveness

On troubled roads of life, when opposing sides collide,
Conflict of emotions clamors, agitating ego and pride,
While empathy warns: let forgiveness be your guide,
As benevolent angels, in missives of compassion chide.

Mired in wins and losses, when humanity strums offbeat,
Adversaries propagate hatred, and blatantly mistreat,
As meaningless conversations puff up, donning conceit,
While expressions of solemn amiability retreat in defeat.

A proffer of calm and goodwill, checks enemy’s reign
When sanctity prevails, calming a perturbed domain,
As atonement and humility heal, soothing angst of pain
And disturbed vibes seeking revenge, begin to wane.

As nobility of repentance tenders offers of mercy, grace,
Malevolent behaviors recede, ashamed in disgrace,
And enlightenment of intellect inspires vacuous space,
When hosting redemption, reformed enemies embrace.

In affluence of cognitive thoughts informed minds elate
Harboring tolerance and sympathy, discarding hate,
Being harmonious with peace, mundane life they liberate,
Achieving balance within, unfazed by travails of fate.

Kent

  Come to live in Kent
  A lovely place to be.
  Close to the continent.
  Next the lovely sea.

  The garden of England
  growing houses fast.
  Come to see what's planned,
  while the stocks last.

  Houses on the down ridge
  what a lovely view.
  Not for the average,
  only for the few.

  Live next a reservoir?
  Where's the water gone?
  But here's our saviour,
  bottled waters on.

  Travel easy everywhere
  on congested roads.
  enjoy a slow journey. Beware
  those heavy loads.

To the coast, enjoy a swim
  in the brown smelly sea.
Only fools would jump right in.
  Consequences not foresee.

  Woods and fields all gone.
  Sanitised in parks.
  Streams no longer flow along,
  now underground in the dark.

Come visit us before too late.
  See our beauteous countryside.
Your senses still it will elate.
  Soon downhill we will slide.

Premium Member Joy In the Extra Mile

When someone feels alone, forlorn
Like the world has left them to mourn
The charming joys, the wonders born

Rousing a gentle fate

Inspired by gifts from hearts so pure
Lovely dreams, feelings who endure
The broken, worries so demure

Gentle that cannot wait

Struggles to go that extra mile
For the beauty of a sweet smile
Comforting spirits all the while

With kindness to elate

Premium Member If Only I Could

I would harken back to passions of realm sublime
As melodies of beloved past endearingly chime
Appealing to yesteryears when love was in prime;
If only I could endeavor to journey back in time.

Strolling with you in springs of blooming meadows
We will greet paradise, euphoric thoughts renew,
Indulgent in amorous music heartbeats compose;
If only I could decode secrets, musings of souls coo.

There would be no laments, no recollections irate,
Nary a hint of grief, clenching strife would berate,
For heavenly bliss in your domain will forever elate;
If only I could manage to alter the course of fate.

I will restage how dear-Venus inflamed our mood
As astral orchestra strummed twinkling stellar tune
While courting your fervor waltzing stars wooed;
If only I could succeed to entice the doting moon.

I remember your smile, lauding blushing twilight,
Enamored in lyrics of hearts, fervent verses recite,
O, those moonlit desires would rekindle tonight;
If only I could seduce, reveries of romantic night.

Daffodils

Daffodils
By Michelle Morris
27/07/2020

Daffodils delightfully sway in the cool breeze,
Looking like glorious rows of cheerfulness.
They herald the springtime in England,
And elate the nation with their blessings.

Premium Member Tomorrow

Every day brings a brand new tomorrow.
Will it be one fulfilled or stay hollow?
Be an outcome of fate-
Or some feat we elate-
We pray hard for rewards to soon follow.

There are times that tomorrow seems lazy
And commitments are dull and quite hazy.
Time to put our feet up
With hot tea in each cup-
There's no need to feel guilty or crazy!

Either way, do not fret; tried, but then sat?
New tomorrows bring fine plans to work at!
We may say they'll run out-
But we know- without doubt
Best to use them by our choice of format!

Premium Member My Name Is Spring

I push the gate- each year elate,
ending my wait to replay fate.
My roots await to drink, hydrate
and fully sate for full growth rate.

Stems push up straight to levitate
buds that dilate as leaves abate
and calibrate- blossoms create
to activate each full-bloomed trait.

I am your Spring- your loved upswing!
Each tree, a king as branches string
to a wellspring of verdant bling.
I share with zing, my season's fling.

Aft Winter's sting- while lovebirds wing,
our couples cling- soon worshipping
as church bells ring, good wishes sing.
All this I bring- my name is Spring.
