It’s Shark Week—let the ocean roar,
A celebration through the tide,
I plunge where blue horizons soar
And let my fascination glide.
Sharks in spotlights, strong and sleek,
Legends in the swirling brine,
They prowl the depths we dare not seek,
With power ancient, fierce, divine.

Judge Horne issued a decree that elections take place this week 
For the positions of mayor and sheriff in the town of Milton Creek

It is the quite longing in the heart of a man, to dwell in peace with the woman who bore him 
To know her not only as a mother but as a sanctuary 
There is a sacredness to her voice when it finds you in the middle of a weary week
Calling not for news but

The Week

Sunday, I take out a bowl.
Monday, a spoon.
Tuesday, open a box of Cheerios,
Pour a few in.
Wednesday, the milk.
Thursday, I spoon some in and chew.
Friday, wash the bowl and the spoon.
Saturday, put the bowl back on the shelf,
The spoon in the drawer.

Sunday, I take out a bowl.

In about a week, I'm gonna go see my maker,
an old Italian guy, who left me with my present caretaker.
I need to go see him about my nose,
because the damn thing just grows and grows.
My caretaker says it's because I lie,
but I don't know how seriously to take her.

One week at a time

Sunday's for planning
Monday's for working
Tuesday's for getting stuff done
Wednesday's to check the cheklist
Thursday's for follow through
Friday's for catching up, and
Saturday's for much deserved fun

I opened the basket daily,                                                 Mother hen

Seven Days

And so it goes, these seven days
Waking up as my music plays,
A new beginning, one of many
A place to start, as good as any

The second day is rarely bad …
Enjoying whatever weather we'd had,
While checking the mail for a letter
Taking a breath and feeling better 

Quietly, in comes the third …
With a silence that is

Energy rise
Start for work.

A bit too tired
Need exercise.

Gas up, refuel
Recharge once more.

Run Saturday
Mall afternoon
Sunday's all mass.

Some years ago a great man was born this week
He was my beautiful son
He had such a big heart that is hard to describe
I saw in his short life grow into a great man
And he always had a lot of great fans
