If you were here, what would I say to you
How can I express what is in my heart
How is it that I have such an overwhelming desire
For someone I have never met but it seems to me
I have known you for a lifetime and loved you forever
You are the familiar face that has always been part of my dream
Just to think that I am unable to reach out and touch you
That you are indeed tangible within my soul
What an abstract phenomenon you have etched in my mind
You have given me the only dream I wanted to become true
That I am loved by someone like you
It is inevitable that in my heart you will never become that
Nonfiction novel which ceases to find a romantic ending
You have fabricated through the impassable egnima
Of me, others have struggled to understand
You have penned your love sonnets within my heart
All the pieces fit so perfectly. We are each muse, so you tell me
I am your accompanist to wherever your words lead me
In this concurrence of fact and fiction
I can say with all the pureness of my heart
You are a dream come true my Cyberspace love
What an abstract phenomenon you have etched in my mind
Before the day turned into night
You I saw, what an awesome sight!
A smile of eve, of love and light,
A lovesome theme, my dream did write.
Up high blazed pink arc of the sky,
A spark of joy in purple dye,
A gleeful vibe of sun’s goodbye,
When love in your eyes moon did vie.
You my love, are a dream come true,
For life with you, is life I woo;
On cusp of night, where stars lure you,
To clues of love, the sunset drew.
Pray I now, you will steer my way,
Before this night turns into day.
You just feel like a dream come true
So ordinary, yet so divine
Ebullient yet so peaceful
Clumsy yet so graceful
Looking at you made me question
Is it just me,
Or do you truly define beauty?
Said it once, will say it again
You feel like a dream come true,
You sound like a poetry made with love
You look like an artist's greatest work.

You just feel like a dream come true

I've always loved your voice since I first heard
And ever since that time my heart was stirred

I hope that they continue all the way
Until my dream of you comes true one day
I don't remember ever applying to be a plenipotentiary
But now that I am a septuagenarian
I realize that this is precisely what I was meant to be

Times that once were lonely,
are now filled with pleasure.

Fears that once were very real,
are now gone with the storm.
A heart that once was broken,
can now finally mend.
A person who was alone in life,
can now call you friend.
Dreams that once were longed
for are now all coming true.
The love I once thought never
existed I have found forever in you.

They say dreams and wishes are for children for it is silly for
an adult to hold such a foolish dream.
Then perhaps I'm a silly adult
holding onto my dreams
as if they were ones of yesteryear.
Me finding you and
hearing your voice one day.

Slipped her a buck

I remember, once
I dreamed of the moments
I would spend with you
Sharing your joys, your hopes
Your tenderness and kindness
Your heart, mind and spirit
I remember when I dreamed
Of the day when we would spend
Our time sharing our feelings
Listening to the whispers of serenity
Silencing all our worries and fears
Reassuring our hearts that our tears
Could never darken the light pouring
Out across our hearts and souls
Through our thoughts and all our hopes
I remember, once upon a time
I dreamed of the day I would make you mine
Now that you and I are sharing our lives
I can honestly say that the dreams I had of you
Aren’t nearly as wonderful as the dream come true!

Such egregious acts from the ones in power,
Inflicting oppression at every turn they make.
Many ask the question, “what can I do?”
“What can I do for heaven’s sake?”
History has proven that violence and uproar
Only results in more pain inflicted,
But still we must rise, rise in a way that
They cannot stop. Humanly, spiritually,
Empathetically and with love only.
Trust in the process of positive thought.
And show patience to all including yourself.
For one dawn shall come when all will fall,
Fall beneath the ruins of the ancient earth.
Then build again a better world, when a
Golden Age shall shine its light. For some
Of us already dream, that we know one
Day this dream shall soon come true.
At first I thought I was in a dream
I found my love and wanted to scream
There she was in my disbelief
Wow I thought, what a relief!
Of model beauty but could I win her?
I had to give it my best shot for sure!
I had to put the right plan in place
But needed to give her time and space
The first thing I did was buy a new car
There was no way I wanted anything to mar
I quickly decided to make it my duty
For no one else to capture this beauty!
So silver tongue me gave it my best
I had to make darn sure I won this quest!
Our first date was an offer she couldn’t resist
Dinner and West Side Story, no need to persist!
Voila Dave you did the right thing
The magic began that caused love to spring!
It’s all I ever dreamed of doing,
But seems here, dreams aren’t worth doing.
The sweet rain revives, with hair hanging down.
It hypnotizes, with a haunting sound.
The time disappears, waving a goodbye.
The clouds get to have, their ominous sigh.
Then a memory, the minds silent reign.
Out of the downpour, and from the mist came.
A face of beauty, familiar it seems.
One that I have seen, maybe in my dreams.
Then with sleepy eyes, I look next to me.
That girl I have seen, looking back at me.
