A Dream Come True
I remember, once
I dreamed of the moments
I would spend with you
Sharing your joys, your hopes
Your tenderness and kindness
Your heart, mind and spirit
I remember when I dreamed
Of the day when we would spend
Our time sharing our feelings
Listening to the whispers of serenity
Silencing all our worries and fears
Reassuring our hearts that our tears
Could never darken the light pouring
Out across our hearts and souls
Through our thoughts and all our hopes
I remember, once upon a time
I dreamed of the day I would make you mine
Now that you and I are sharing our lives
I can honestly say that the dreams I had of you
Aren’t nearly as wonderful as the dream come true!
