Fold hang or roll
Comfortable
Casual

Denim

False pride lifts up soul
propped by haughty mind
hiding selfishness
around shame's fortress
oblivious of fall.
Such falsity
defies truth's stand
that builds strong life
by God's blest might.
Honesty
clings to grace
securing...
...heart from
slow sink's...
blow!

Hunger Scarcity
Eyes blocked
Still Rising
Unfolded

spooning atmosphere
dust off you, lilac
eyes with you again
and the water's tight
urges in your hair
rain's attaching
us cheek to cheek
we are the same
tears as flowers
forever
drops; though a
christened fall,
raincoat,
scented
song
Turquoise seduction
silken eyes so deep.
Sky blue potential,
that taste so loyal
blurs delicate lines.
Falling so hard
instantly safe
it won’t be you
playing the fool.

Dusk dips, game over.
Hide and seek. Kick ball.
That Slip n’ Slide hurt,
wipeouts were worth it.
Beat the streetlights home.
All day outside,
who needed food?
Nutrient rich,
the old hose worked.
Hydration,
pass it left
share a sip.
Look back,
we were
gold.
homicide? Murder?
quickly a cold case
who was this angry?
unfathomable
a confused frenzy
many suspects
yellow black tape
police detectives
investigate
body found
tightly bound
tied and gagged
crime scene
murder
kill
communicate well
listen with your heart
share something of yours
believe their story
concentrate on them
learn about them
pay attention
give them your time
not sympathy
empathy
tell the truth
eye contact
listen
watch them
speak
Breathless never, I
behold miracles
as special child prays
seeking divine help
midst sign language bliss...
God-breathed, I watch
prayer moves heights
midst faith of child
yearning to live...
Now, breath-filled
heart feels love*
so shared well...

Watching water flow,
Life is but a dream,
Softly as the snow,
A flowering scheme.
Deep in my mind,
Thoughts drift away,
Truths left behind,
Fading to gray.
Hear the wind,
Softly sigh,
At the end.
Time flies,
No lies.
Lost.
